  1. Stephen Smith is livid that there were no minorities hired as head coaches and is taking out his frustrations by lashing out where he thinks he can. Adam is an easy target.

    DC Williams... IT"S OFFICIAL

10-6 is a realistic record this coming season with this new staff. I'm pretty excited.
  3. Exactly! We need an Offensive Coordinator. Head Coaches that also act as coordinators don't make sense to me. Gase needs to hire a guy that he can trust to call the plays that support the overall gameplay. Gase needs to be engaged on both sides of the ball.
  4. Do the Jets have a full-time Psychiatrist on staff? If not they may want to consider hiring one

    The Adam Gase Poll

Well we'll see how this turns out. I'm not too optimistic, but maybe Gase learned from the last 3 years. He is still very young, so who knows.

McCarthy is NOT the answer damnit!

Agreed. The Jets are way past the point where gambling on a head coach is an option. We've been gambling since Parcells left and we've lost every time. Enough ******* around. We need McCarthy.

McCarthy is NOT the answer damnit!

And this makes him qualified to run an NFL team how exactly?

McCarthy is NOT the answer damnit!

Name one other available coach that won a Super Bowl, has 6 division titles, won 15 games during a regular season, has a .618 winning percentage and actually wants to coach this sh*tty team? Matt Rhule, as a college head coach, has a 36-40 record, is 8-17 over the last 2 years at Baylor, and his only NFL experience was as an Offensive line coach and you want this ******* guy to resurrect a dead NFL franchise? Bruce Arians went 27-39 at Temple, had two good seasons with the Cardinals but never got them to the Super Bowl, let alone won a Super Bowl. Oh and he is 66 years old. Good luck in Tampa with Todd Bowles calling your defense. Todd Monken 27-35 at Old Miss only 1 winning season in 3 years. Adam Gase - 23-25 with the Dolphins over 3 years. I think the choice is pretty obvious, which means the Jets will do the opposite.
  9. With all the conflicting media coverage, just curious where we think Mike McCarthy winds up coaching next year.
  10. I don't disagree he probably sits out this year, but I was hoping he would bring credibility back to the Jets. The last time we had a Super Bowl winning coach was Bill Parcells and we got close to winning it all. I think Mike could do the same for us and maybe even get us to the promise land.
  11. Sounds like it will be a cool uniform. Now we just need a Harbaugh to go with them 😁

    Johnson Denies Harbaugh Report

I'm not going to speak for Tom, but I think what he means is that the way the Johnson's treat the firing of Bowles will be watched closely by the league and by head coach candidates. It has to be done in a professional manner.

    Johnson Denies Harbaugh Report

But are you mentally prepared to watch the debacle that will be next season if Bowles is still at the helm?

    Johnson Denies Harbaugh Report

This. Another year of this sh*tshow and I'm outta here until a new regime comes in.
  15. Tough deal for you to have to go through all that Bullsh*t. At least the Jets came through for us that day BIG TIME! To this day, that is my favorite Jets roster.
  16. That was the game that made me a Jets fan. I liked them before the game, but it was this very game that made me a fan for life.
  17. Jan 16, 2011. Jets beat the Patriots in the Divisional round of the playoffs. I actually thought the Jets might go to the Super Bowl that year.
  18. Even if Bowles wasn't the problem (hint: he is), he is definitely not the answer. Macc needs to go also. If Todd took over the Rams, they would be a 5-11 team by next year.
  19. If Bowles is back next year, I will not watch a single game. Why would I? For that matter, why would any sane person. We are witnessing Bowles' peak as a coach right now. Sure the talent could be much better (which is why we need to fire Macc), but even if we had the best team in football, Bowles would find creative ways for us to lose. So yeah, I would skip the obvious 2-14 season.
  20. True, but you learn the most from the bad bosses, or in this case the bad coaches, that you have. Sam is learning a great deal by being on this dysfunctional team (he is learning what wrong looks like). It's easy to be on a winning team, but to lose like the Jets do will help Darnold build a resiliency that will help him down the road. A couple of years from now he will be able to draw even greater strength from having gone through this, assuming the Johnson's hire a competent replacement for both Bowles and Macc. If of course the Johnson's don't hire competent replacements, disregard everything I said, because at that point Sam is screwed.
  21. Why? Keeping him on actually helps the team get a higher draft pick. He is actually doing this team a favor by staying on. Let's be realistic, after the season, the whole coaching team is gone. Many of the players are gone. The goal now should be to try and get the highest draft pick. We need weapons that Sam can throw to and an O-line that can keep him upright. Make no mistake, Bowles needs to go, but Macc needs to go too.
  22. My thought is wait till black Monday and fire both Macc and Bowles. Firing Bowles now might mean we are stuck with Macc. He sucks just as much as Bowles.

    5 Games Left

This is the worst Jets team by far that I can remember. I still watch, but I don't invest any emotion or that much time. I DVR the game, so no commercials and I can fast forward through whatever I don't want to see while completely emotionally detached. I still like football, even bad football is better than no football. So yeah, I watch the games. The consistent takeaway from all of these games is that Bowles is the worst Jets coach I have ever seen.
