  1. Kinda seemed like you were whining. Must have misread your intentions!
  2. Sam Darnold. A prospect no Jets fan would have thought we would be in a position to draft. Cup half full....
  3. Dez is done as a number 1 receiver. He does not fit into the Jets rebuild, is a head case, and has lost his explosiveness. Let him steal someone else’s money. Jerry loves the guy and still released him....no offer at a reduced pay contract. That’s all you need to know.
  4. Interesting premise. That would be a huge win for the Browns and would certainly help the Giants in the short term. The question is are the Giants fixated on drafting Eli's replacement in this draft.
  5. You guys can't all be that dumb! 1) consider the source 2) agents will look to make the most money possible. Cousins to the Jets with McCown signed for less at a later date would still net McCartney a bigger payday.
  6. Funny how many here are worried about paying $10M for a QB. Who gives a crap? Maccagnan signs two QB's and will draft another. The QB room will look much different (better) than the last few years. We will spend less money on 3 QB's (half) than it would have cost to sign Cousins, who is NOT a sure thing. We will have a vet that is well respected and played very well last year, a reclamation project that could return to form and be a very good QB, and a first round rookie to be the long term answer. If you can't sign up for that and are instead worried about spending $10M on Josh, you can't see
  7. Good write up on Long. Highly regarded by Redskins fans for what it's worth. May be a better option for a zone blocking scheme than Jensen. https://www.hogshaven.com/2018/2/8/16990266/should-the-redskins-re-sign-spencer-long-at-center
  8. Kerley would likely take the spot of Kalif Raymond, an unproven returner. Not one of the other young pups on the receiver squad. I'm good with that if Kerley accepts that as his role on the team.
  9. This coming from a long time optimist, Jets will have the number one pick in the 2018 NFL draft. Our young QB's are horrible and they will bring down this entire team. We will start McCown, let's hope he's respectable but still manages his career average for wins. It's the only way this team will compete but still lose most of their games. The hack experiment needs to end right after this preseason game. I guess I'll be watching the Texans allot this year.
  10. I am with you. Enjoy TC, don't expect Bowles to provide too much info, rightfully so, and everyone quit the whining. Whining accomplishes nothing in life.
  11. Wait.....Mainejet said he would "Never be a starter". The news from camp and coaches comments must be pure hyperbole!
  12. That's why there's a practice squad. Decker helps our receiver group this year, probably his last year with the Jets. One of the other, young receivers, can be stashed on the practice squad and be developed for 2018.
  13. And now a TE. There's a pattern.
  14. Quincy and Robbie are the only two WRs that played well last year. The others showed some talent but are not sure things. Adding two WRs with talent is a good thing. We are trying to improve our passing and pass defense. Hard to get too upset with that, though many here are.
  15. 7 players on Pats offense where 6 rounders or worse. There's a chance!
  16. LOL, all good dude. Have a nice day, really. Should have stayed out of it, usually do. Go Jets - Hope we can agree on that.
  17. Once again, grow up. I've been on Jets boards for years. You're just too busy listening to yourself. And you don't annoy me. I just think you act like a child and did not appreciate your response to another Jets fan. I'm sure you will respond with another GFY.
  18. Jets fans. Typical. BPA and position of need. Great pick.
  19. Jets fans....are the worst! Holy sh*t there are some jaded folks on this site. I pray Hack becomes a franchise QB, if only so 80% of Jets fans can eat a little crow!
  20. Jesus folks. We signed a tackle we have had in house for several years. He's good insurance at either tackle position. There's no report on his actual contract, guarantees, incentives, etc. Could be $11M total if he meets incentives, somehow becomes a starter, and lasts 2 years. Smart move. Now draft a LT early.
  21. I think our last big cut will be Marshall - no dead money, full cap savings. Richardson gets traded if we get at least a 3rd for him. Betting we don't cut him loose if compensation is anything less than that. Decker, McLendon stay. Gilchrist....only $2M cap savings and he's hurt. Suspect we don't release him until after the draft, it at all. Harris is the big unknown. Only way he's released is if a replacement is found in FA, which is entirely possible. Can't release everyone, too many holes to fill.
