Grew up in South Alabama - knew a lot of Saints fans. when they were bad, they whined and bitched about everything, when they were good they acted like insufferable pricks
Horrible Fans with a few exceptions of course

Reminder: All JetNation posters are required to do 2 things:
- Select a current Jets player to brutally and unrelentingly criticize at every opportunity including starting a new thread every time there is a tweet or social media post that says anything less than positive about the player (Note, Mekhi Benton, Denzel Mims, and Quinnen Williams are full and there is a waiting list for those players)
- Select a player on another team that the Jets didn’t draft and highlight every positive play that player makes while criticizing the team for moronically not drafting that player when “everyone could tell he was going to be a star”
welcome

Zonovan Knight is an UDFA rookie out of NC State. Had several teams wanting to sign him
Went undrafted because his size/speed numbers were not that great and had some fumblitis

Didn't have an UDFA contract or anything, just straight up showed out at rookie camp and won a spot. He's a slot WR and kick returner. I think he is a guy who could stick as a Practice Squad guy

That is pretty interesting....a few weeks ago one of the infielders for my beloved but dreadful Pittsburgh Pirates threw a ball to 1st base clocked at 98 mph - the fastest throw my an infielder this season. Just for comparison purposes

FYI: Both were technically already on the active roster and counting against the 90 so no corresponding roster moves are needed

As you may recall, Charles is a big athletic Jersey kid who originally signed with Penn State but got kicked off the team and transferred to a Division II school

New NFL rules say teams have to cut from 90-85 on Aug 16 and from 85-80 on Aug 23 - basically they have to be down to 80 after the 2nd preseason game
Who will be the 1st 10 players cut from the roster? Here's my guess (in order of most likely to be cut IMHO):
- Luq Barcoo 6'1" 175 San Diego St. (CB)
- Eddy Pinero 6'0" 185 Florida (PK)
- Calvin Jackson 5'9" 193 Washington St. (WR)
- Parker Ferguson 6'4" 306 Air Force (G/T)
- Tony Adams 6'0" 185 Illinois (S)
- Derrick Kelly 6'5" 320 Florida State (G/T)
- Bradlee Anae 6'3" 260 Utah (DL)
- Chris Streveler 6'1" 216 South Dakota (QB) << Might stick around to QB some in the final preseason game
- Hamilcar Rashed Jr. 6'2" 251 Oregon State (DE) << Talented but it's a numbers game
- Elijah Riley 6'0" 205 Army (S) << Talented but it's a numbers game
** No disrespect intended to any player - they are all 100x more athletic and accomplished than I ever was in sports

Jets Sign OT Caleb Benenoch

Since the roster is full, there will have to be a corresponding move - someone released or someone going on the injured list
Could be my boy Derrick Kelley - tryout signee out of Florida State - or maybe a defensive player like recently-signed CB Luq Barcoo. Maybe DE Bradley Anae, who I like but is caught up in a major numbers game at DE
