  1. I'm going to say Edge Rusher with Lawson, Curry, and Huff healthy, Martin signed as a FA, and Johnson and Clemons drafted. That just might be right there near the top of the league as a rotational group
  2. Retired as pro football's all-time leader in receptions and yards receiving
  3. Didn't get the Taco Bell reference, but I laughed anyway
  4. Mike White....hope to see him take every snap of every preseason game
  5. I don't think the board approves or denies requests to enter the draft, but advises kids on their relative value in the draft. Kids with eligibility remaining declare for the draft all the time and go undrafted
  6. DQ Thomas is a preferred Free Agent who signed a $130,000 contract
  7. We really only have place for 1 or 2 priority free agents. Most of the players you will read about "signing with the Jets" will be try out invites. I'd say WR, LB, C/G, maybe QB would be most likely positions to attract a Priority Free Agent for us.
  8. The 3 spots where the Jets might be able to land a decent undrafted free agent are: Linebacker - seems like the obvious choice - there's a spot to be won by somebody at LB (DeMarco Jackson, Appalachian State???) Quarterback - I know it sounds weird, but a talented QB could come in, serve a year on the Practice Squad and then compete for the backup spot in 2023 - might be an appealing sales pitch (EJ Perry, Brown??) Wide Receiver - The right player with the right skill set could come in and compete for a roster spot at WR or at least be certain of a practice squad spot (Bo Melton, Rutgers if he goes undrafted)
  9. Which players on the current Jets roster came out of the 2022 draft as "Winners" and which seem to have come out as "Losers" WINNERS QB Zach Wilson Jets added a top WR, the top RB, a good TE prospect, and a backup OL in the draft. Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall will be immediate contributors and Ruckert will help out as the season goes on. WR Denzel Mims Yes the Jets drafted a WR, but they didn't draft 2. As of right now, Mims is the 5th WR on the roster. Not taking a WR in the middle rounds either means 1) the Jets think Mims still has potential or 2) they will try to sign a FA later. But for now at least, Mims is a winner OT Mekhi Becton Jets didn't pick on the 3 top OTs available at #4. They did add an OT in the 4th round, but for right now, the rumors of Becton's demise seem to be greatly exaggerated DT Jonathan Marshall Big defensive lineman played well as the year progressed and seems to be firmly entrenched in the team's long term plans - passed on several good DTs in the 3rd and 4th round The "Safetybackers" Jamien Sherwood and Hamsah Nasirildeen struggled mightily at times last year and ended up being hurt. Jets had a chance to draft a good LBs but didn't pick one. Jamien and Hamsah can breath a sigh of relief for now LOSERS RBs LaMichael Perine and Ty Johnson Trying desperately to trade up into the 1st round for a RB is bad news for Perine, a perpetually injured Jets draftee and Johnson, who at least made some decent contributions when called upon. At this point, you have to figure both will be gone come cutdown day TEs Trevon Wesco and Kenny Yeboah Jeremy Ruckert is probably taking Wesco's spot although he could hang on as a 4th TE/FB. Yeboah seems like a good guy and he has talent, but Practice Squad looks like his best option OT Chuma Edoga Hard to think of any scenario where drafting a swing OT in the 4th round is good news for the swing tackle currently on the roster Edge's Bryce Huff, Tim Ward, Jabari Zuniga, Hamilcar Rashed Drafting 2 Edge defenders means "adios" to Ward and Zuniga for sure. MAYBE Huff can stick since he is pretty solid when healthy. Zuniga might make the Practice Squad.

  11. Michael Clemons is the 13th Jets draft pick out of Texas A&M He joins Punter Braden Mann as Aggie draft picks on the current roster CB Aaron Glenn is the highest ever Jets draft pick out of TAMU going with the 12th pick in the 1994 draft RB Johnny Hector and DB Ray Mickens are also notable past Jets draft picks from TAMU
  12. Still pounding the table for Khalil Shakir WR Boise State Tycen Anderson S Toledo
  13. Max Mitchell is the 3rd player ever drafted by the Jets out of the University of Louisiana and the highest ever drafted by the team. RB Elijah McGuire was a 6th rounder out of Louisiana for the Jets in 2017
  14. My 2 guesses are still there! Let's do this! Khalil Shakir WR Boise State Tycen Anderson S Toledo
  15. I am glad to see Winfrey go, I never loved him for us. He's a good player, I admit, but I was hoping we didn't draft him.
  16. My official wild ass guess on our 2 4th round picks: Khalil Shakir WR Boise State Tycen Anderson S Toledo DT Perrion Winfrey would be great, but I don't think he's a good scheme fit for us Don't think there's great value on the OL right now, but, of course, an OL has to be in consideration with each of our remaining picks
  17. 10 Picks Until Us.......I'll make this my final wish list update of the evening to not annoy y'all further! Perrion Winfrey DL Oklahoma << LOVE Khalil Shakir WR Boise State << LOVE Charlie Kolar TE Iowa State Channing Tindall LB UGA Thayer Munford OL Ohio State Nick Cross S Maryland Damone Clark LB LSU Rasheed Walker OT Penn State Darian Kinnard G Kentucky Zach Tom OL Wake Forest Jeremy Ruckert TE Ohio State Daniel Faalele OL Minnesota Matthew Butler DL Tennessee Leo Chenal LB Wisconsin Tycen Anderson S Toledo
