  3. I’d keep it the same. But if they do an 18 game schedule. Evan Roberts actually laid it out perfectly how it can happen. It was years ago so,I may not be quoting exactly how he proposed it. The season would extend 1 xtra week so the day after Super Bowl is Presidents’ Day. Every team gets 2 byes that precedes each team playing a division game on Thursday nights. East coast start a 7 o clock start.west coast at 1030. With 2 preseason games. Did not sound bad. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

  5. Only under these circumstances (ONLY) if they are playing in the afc championship against the dolphins on a muddy field because ya know they don’t have a tarp. And the fins are like 17-0. Pats are down to their 4 th string qb Kraft had kicked the bucket before the playoffs began, and belichick was not there for the game due to a severe tick bite he obtained in the swamps filming a dolphin practice the night before. ( only) under those circumstances I MAY root for them Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

  8. Can’t we all just get along?? Who knows who would have one on a dry field. We will never know.. we do know who won on a sloppy ( unkept ) by design muddy field. LETS GO JETS!! Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

  12. Yes their equipment manager should have been fired on the spot and the brain trust of Jets organization back then should have known the field would have been a mess. Hence proper cleats would have travelled to miami. Remember it was 82 not now. Was a Dick Genious move by Shula that worked.. and yes Jets should have been prepared for anything Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  13. It was all about proper foot wear for THAT game. Miami had the proper cleats for THAT game. That was the purpose. The JETS as the road team. Did not bring their mudders with them. Had there regular cleats as if they were going to play on a dry field. BIG advantage fish. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  14. The Jets didn’t bring the correct cleats didn’t think they needed to fuk Shula Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  15. Funny story. I met Shula at a luncheon in nyc when I won a contest on espn radio regarding jet trivia... he was truly an a$$hole laughing it up when asked questions about that game by don la Greco. Greg buttle was there as well. Joking about it. Made me sick. At the end of it we were able to get autographs from him. So I stood in line with my autographed Super Bowl III football and stuck it in his face. He looked me dead in the eye. And said get that sh1t out of my face. I laughed and walked out. It was great. I think I got to him. Made my day. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
