  5. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2020/02/21/bears-planning-to-relase-prince-amukamara-taylor-gabriel/ Posted by Darin Gantt on February 21, 2020, 3:32 PM EST The Bears are taking some money off the books before the weekend. According to Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune, the Bears are planning to release veteran cornerback Prince Amukamara. Adam Schefter of ESPN adds that wide receiver Taylor Gabriel is on the way out as well. Cutting Amukamara would give the 30-year-old former first-roynder a head start on the free agent market, which has a number of options at the position. He was due to make $9 million next season, and they’ll carry $1 million in dead money to let him go. Gabriel’s release clears $4.5 million of cap space.
  6. https://nypost.com/2020/02/20/jets-have-more-nfl-draft-2020-picks-than-initially-thought/ By Brian Costello February 20, 2020 | 10:36am The Jets have more draft picks than we thought. It had been assumed and reported the Jets only had seven picks in April’s draft, but Gang Green actually has eight. The discrepancy came because of the team’s trade for Nate Hairston in August. In that trade, the Jets sent a conditional sixth-round pick to the Colts. The conditions were not met, so the pick was returned to the Jets. The Jets now have two picks in the sixth round, as well as two picks in the third round. They have no seventh-round picks and one choice in the first, second, fourth and fifth rounds. This sixth-round pick is the one the Jets originally acquired in the trade with the Chiefs last May for linebacker Darron Lee. Jets general manager Joe Douglas and the rest of the Jets front office and coaching staff will be in Indianapolis next week for the Scouting Combine, evaluating draft prospects. It turns out they have one more pick than we knew about.
  7. Depth, considering Macc won't be drafting D linemen this year.
  8. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000001102609/article/detroit-lions-release-dt-damon-snacks-harrison The latest weight-cut has transpired ahead of the 2020 offseason. The Detroit Lions are releasing defensive tackle Damon "Snacks" Harrison, sources tell NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Harrison signed a one-year extension with Detroit before this past season, which had the potential to keep him through 2021. In 15 games this season with Detroit, Harrison recorded 49 total tackles and two sacks for a defense that underperformed after an expensive offseason that spent money on their defense. According to Pelissero, Harrison wants to continue his playing career. Midway through the 2018 season, Harrison was traded from the New York Giants for a conditional 2019 fifth-round draft pick and proceeded to finish that year with a rare 17-game campaign. Before playing for Big Blue, Harrison played four years for the New York Jets after going undrafted in 2012 out of William Penn University. Harrison, 31, offers a unique skillset that not all defenses require but his reliable play could still be sought for a team looking for an added push at the line of scrimmage.
  9. I think Jamal Adams would have 3 garbage time picks in the XFL.
  10. Krieder with another 3 point night, he has 32 points in his last 30 games. The Rangers started making moves, acquiring Julien Gauthier for Joey Keane and former Islanders goalie Jean-Francois Berube, for future considerations to the Flyers. Gauthier has the skills to be an NHL regular, hopefully his hockey IQ improves, he could be a real steal. Joey Keane was expendable and was sold high. Gotta think a goalie move is coming, with them bringing in a backup for Hartford, and Lundqvist benched. Trade deadline is going to very interested, as the Rangers remain in the playoff hunt.
