Wtf has been the last month for this organization.

Breaking news: Star player at a premium position wants to be adequately compensated!
Guys, it's not that deep. Pay him.

Lamar is a transcendent talent that can put this team over the top.
The guy is an MVP that led the league in TD passes, and rushed for 1200 yds in the same season. That's video game.

If JD loves LJ, why did he pass on Fields?
They're almost the same player except Fields is the better passer with, imo a higher ceiling.
While a better passer coming out, Fields was nowhere near the runner that LJ was.

I used to scoff at the idea of drafting one every year but now I think it's the move. Too important of a position to draft sparsely.

I think I’d rather punt on 2023 then let Joe Douglas give up all of our draft capital for the next 2 years and let him pick a QB that high again.

Not sure about cost, but Young can play.

Man I wanted Slater so badly. AVT is great though.

The Bears getting #1 makes this a very spicy offseason. I really like Bryce Young, but it may also make Fields available.
As much as I'm looking at 2024 for QB, I wouldn't mind calling up Chicago for either QB.

He sucks, and that sucks.

This is so bad. We cannot develop QB's at all.
Wilson isn't blameless, but it was clear from the get go that we mishandled his development.

I do not feel good about the future of this team. I hate that I feel this way, but I just feel impending doom.

I have been a Paramedic for 20 years. CPR means No Pulse. Period. There is no other circumstance for Professional EMS to perform MICCR.
As far as his condition listing, that's up to the ER/treating physician to determine. Someone as young as him they will work on as long as they can, "heroic measures" as they used to say.
I've helped the ER at receiving facilities work an arrest patient for up to an hour.
Right now, just hope and pray for the man.
The report as of about 45 mins ago was that he had a pulse but couldn't breathe on his own.

good news?
This is apparently his agent. Let's hope its legit and Damar is recovering.

Prayers to him and his family. Hope he pulls through.

Has built up every team he's been a part of.
I don't hate Saleh as much as some, but you definitely have to consider it.

I think we need to come to terms with a few real things: (1) Joe Douglas isn’t going to overpay for a QB just because; (2) it’s going to be hard to commit to a veteran long-term and vice versa; (3) a veteran QB is not going to solve the very glaring issues on our coaching staff.
They are going to beg Jimmy Garoppolo to come here. He may not because he will have options.
They are unlikely to be seriously in on Derek Carr and he’s unlikely to seriously consider the Jets. He too will have options for the first time of his career and will seek out stability (Tennessee is where I expect him to land).
Daniel Jones most likely returning to the Giants. Tom Brady is not signing here. Lamar Jackson and Geno Smith most likely to be franchise tagged. Sam Darnold does not want to return here.
Be prepared for Zach Wilson, Mike White, and Ryan Tannehill. The bigger question is who will be in charge with coaching this group. So I assume they are not looking at the draft?

It’s not all MW or ZW fault. I have no idea whether they can be good long-term answers or not, but there are fundamental issues with our offensive coaching staff that prevent us from truly knowing.
Zach is not going anywhere. People think Saleh wants to get rid of him or that JD forces Zach onto the staff. Not true. He’s Saleh’s baby too, he believe in him and he wants to get the most out of him.
I think they will bring back MW, bring in a veteran, and make a few significant coaching hires to try and fix things in the QB room. Best guy will play. If it fails everyone is gone
Sounds terrifying!

Draft a QB every year until you get it right.
Lafleur has NOT been fired!! (merged title references unsubstantiated claim. please refrain from hilarious parody threads)

Yup. Exactly why Rhule wasn't hired.
