I actually find it bizarre how hard it is for the new xbox and the ps5.  It's like, lets make a great new upgraded consoles  but lets not actually produce many of them.

It's a supply chain issue. Same reason used cars/new cars are skyrocketing due to a chip issue. Only going to worsen.

If you added in something about "elite accuracy" and "better than Rodgers", this could be a literal quote from dozens of posters during Sam Darnold's first season.

This is the trouble I have with the analysis here at JN, the (generally) complete lack of objectivity combined with the massive hype of new exciting players, leads to bulk numbers of hyperbolic glowing posts just like the one above, declaring how amazingly special and great player X is before he's really proven anything at all.

I do like what I've seen from Wilson (said, I'll remind, as a Wilson doubter who wouldn't have picked him), it's been very impressive.  But we cannot just slip past that yes, it's been almost all against backups or 3rd stringers, and yes, it's vanilla preseason when coverages are about as bland and easy as they come.

It's why I keep repeating, Week 1 is the REAL first test of who Zack Wilson is and where he is in his development.  No vanilla.  No backups.  No clean pockets free of the blitz.  No (or minimal) scripted play-calling on either side.

If Wilson looks in Week 1 like he's looked in Preseason, that's gonna be a great start, a real reason for some measured excitement.  But I'm not buying into hype based on preseason.

It's is not about the stats or TD's for me that is building excitement. It's the ability to go through progressions. The coach coming out and saying he is light years ahead of where a rookie should be. The ability to change speeds regarding throws. A lightning fast release as advertised. He looks like he has "it". I never saw that from Sam. You saw "it" immediately from Mahomes and Rodgers regardless of results. Those two are special talents. They had great teachers and talent around them. Is Lafleur a great teacher? We will have to wait and see. I tell you what, the loss of Knapp is a big for this kid, can't be denied. The scheme/talent/coaching has to equal his ability or he will struggle more than he should. That is the true question in my eyes. IMO Davis/Moore/Crowder/Cole/Barrios and Kroft are a talented unit of targets. Add Carter and Coleman and he has the weapons to succeed, not KC weapons obviously, but talented. It comes down to the coaching to develop his advanced and stout skillset.

Directv still has exclusivity until next year. Here are your choices: Pay Directv or do the College pay thing for $99, Use Locast for $5 per month and spoof your location, Use illegal streaming for about $50 a year. If you want a good legal streaming service, YoutubeTV is good and you can get the Jet games even if you live outside of NY.

Do you get the Jet games on YTTV using a VPN I'm assuming? I'm hoping so as I would have all the necessary pieces to do this.

That's Fanduel (E. Moore) and Points Bet (Wilson).  Indiana sucks for a lot of things, but not sports  gambling.

I have 7 legal accounts to choose from:  Draftkings, Fanduel, Pointsbet, BetMGM, BetRivers, William Hill and just as of a week ago, Barstool.

    It's a degenerate's paradise.

Waiting on Ohio to onboard this option.

I am fascinated by DOGE Coin. Got in at .05.  More importantly I am talking about it to myself in the Lounge. Any Doge people out there stop by this thread -->

It is a meme coin and the founders control 80% of the supply. Very centralized. Most likely near the top, but more importantly it will be a catalyst for the remainder of the crypto bull run. The money will flow from doge down the list of alts.

Can we please stop saying this? He had 1 draft where he traded back a couple of times and now everyone assumes all he's going to do is accumulate picks. Even after he just made a big move up in the 1st round. Everybody needs to stop making pretend they know what type of GM Douglas is bc at this point nobody knows and at this point his biggest move as a drafter is trading up not trading back.

Lol. He has consistently proven he tries to regain the capital he spends.  Oh and the guys that do know him best say similar....but sure, I'll stop saying it to appease some forum poster lmao. Right.

There's more value in trading #34 than keeping it.  With everyone resetting
their boards you know there are going to be desperate teams looking to fill
    specific positions:

    - DAL is dying to add DB help
    - Who needs a quality DT?
    - Who needs a QB to groom?

If DAL is desperate enough maybe Douglas could get their #2 and Michael Gallup (WR)?

I fully agree, just not sure JD will find the value he seeks for 34.

    We’re not picking #34

You can see the trade down coming from a mile away.

I agree 100%......except if he views Jenkins as another generational G talent. IMO it is Jenkins or trade back to accumulate that 3rd he lost. It is the JD way.

Second attempt.  I think I like this even better...   with exception of the Christensen pick, I really kinda blew it on that one.  I thought he was a RT and would be a good back up to Fant and might even challenge for time but then realized he was a LT.   I can only hope he can also play some OG...  and also back up Becton.  Of course this draft is not realistic but if those players were to fall, I would be estatic.

Love this draft. I do see JD trading back from 23 though. Accumulate even more ammo.

People can do what they want, but if you think I'm going to have
a team dictate my health decisions your crazy.  On top of that
who in the world would trust their health records being passed
around on the internet on an app.  I'm sure nothing could go
wrong with that.  In closing I've got two words for you:

    "Tuskegee Project"

Do people actually not realize it is not even intended to stop the spread lol. It is only intended use is to suffer lesser symptoms....allegedly. I place blame squarely on our pathetic media class, sports included.

This is pathetic. What a joke. People, including me, work each and everyday with or without some experimental jab. The pussification of our society is at an all time high.

This is a good point but mainly because just about all of the coaches are newbies at their positions. I’m not saying that these guys won’t work out just that you almost need a gray beard or two who has seen it all and can quietly observe.  We’ll see what happens.

To your point, Greg Knapp will serve as that grey beard. I am just pleased the Jets finally have a real staff, not one or two guys, but an entire staff of assistants and especially a coach specifically for the most important position in all of sports.

What are the chances JD trades down and nets maybe two seconds so he can grab more o line and a cb?

If there is an elite talent that slides down to 23 grab that person, but as far as o line goes, it’s a pretty deep draft.

This is more to the community, not the OP. I realize most Jets fans are preconditioned to create misery where none exists and their IQ is dropping each and every moment they listen to ESPN or God forbid Shannon Sharpe lmao....wow. Regardless of these, JD is in charge. This is what we as Jets fans have been calling/yelling/begging for. A respected football guy who is making the decisions. Will he make all good calls? Of course not, I like our chances though based on his pedigree and track record.

The sentiment remains regardless of results, this is the best chance the Jets have had for sustainable success in decades. I for one am excited to see what JD and his very well respected executive/coaching staff does, so yes...trade back and accumulate more capital. I want JD to have as many opportunities as possible to find players that will contribute to the long term vision we all dream of.

We essentially have 3 drafts over the next two years.

That's an extra free year of picks.

JD really did set himself up to turn this thing around, he just needs to hit now.

Exactly right. He accomplished the first part with the pick accumulation, now he and his staff need to have some solid results and the Jets will have a quick turnaround.

Is acting like Sam Darnold is/was Dan Marino and the Jets have just been "holding him back".  Like I get it but, have these people watched a single game?  The kid NEVER progressed, he NEVER got better, he RARELY had flashes of brilliance...if we were really holding down Sam Darnold, perhaps he would have won a few games in spite of this horrible and horrific franchise--and he NEVER did it.

I wish the kid nothing but the best, he's a good kid and I hope he does great, honestly, but, this idea that we had John Elway on our roster and it was "all the Jets fault that he is a horrible QB" is really, really, really reaching.  It's bad and irresponsible.

Human beings are inherently lazy. This goes double for the media class. 2020/2021 is all the proof you should need. So these clowns pile on the easy take wagon and remain in the safe zone. Everyone prospers and gets laughs when flaming the NY Jets. It really is sad to see the way content is distributed to the public, more so than that is the way the plebs slurp it down as if it is original and authentic.

I was just watching ESPN this morning and they listed the Jets first round picks for about the last 10 years not only is Bechton the only one still on the team, but the guys listed above are not even in the league anymore. Bart Scott said do you know how bad you have to suck to be a first round pick and nobody wants to give you a chance.

This is why the Jets are so bad.

    Relevance to now?

  17. ESPN’s Rich Cimini says the Jets had pretty much given up on the idea of keeping Darnold around to sit behind the rookie QB they inevitably draft next month.

I will bet a large portion of my small accumulated wealth that this is 100% complete bullsh*t.

Fair enough. Would be my last choice. The power of a QB under a rookie contract is immense and there is no doubt in my mind that Wilson is better than Sam as a prospect

Agreed. I have gone back and forth on this, but the rookie contract mindset is a powerful one. He takes Wilson, along with the way he has structured his offseason keeping cap space for the future, he can then build around Wilson while he is cheap. If you look at the entire picture, I believe this is exactly what is happening. Darnold will likely be traded IF the compensation is fair, JD will call everyone's bluff though, to keep face for any future negotiations and keep SD through the summer if needed to get what he thinks is a good deal.

Looks like a pitiful loser when he throws an interception. Puts his head down and walks to the bench just to get up and throw another one 5 minutes later.

This argument cracks me up. Exactly what reaction are you looking for? You want a QB to throw his helmet or punch the kicking net? Or would it be best to have a brain and try to analyze what went wrong? Now I have no idea if he is doing that mind you and neither does anyone on this board. I can say I personally would prefer a QB to take a measured approach that a "fly off the handle" one.
