  1. Quickest answer is if the Jets lose to both Miami (Osweiler) and Buffalo (Possibly Pietermen), they're both gone. I personally believe if they lose to Buffalo, they're both gone. Both deserve to be fired. Bowles is a terrible coach with no situational awareness, no adjustments and no accountability. Macc's lucky that Leo, Lee and Darnold fell into his lap. There was nothing to think about with those picks. They were no brainers. Every other pick he's made is garbage and he hasn't fared much better in free agency either. The Jets roster save a few spots is complete trash. Many of these guys would not be starters anywhere else.
  2. Unless the fans start with banners and billboards again and/or the media hammers home the point that this team is seriously devoid of talent, the clueless ownership will stay the course.
  3. While I agree that lounging around on Sundays watching football is great, I personally hate these 9:30am EST games. You're literally watching football from 9:30am to 11:30pm on Sundays. Leaves no time for anything else and frankly gets tiring, IMO. I don't understand why with a 4 hour time difference from the east coast (soon to be 5) that they can't just start the London games at 5PM (6PM) their time to make it 1PM EST here. I'd also prefer the night games here start at 7:30pm instead of 8:20pm, but that could just be because I'm old and need my beauty sleep.
  4. Romo talks WAY too much in the booth and calls out things that are blatantly obvious. He's terrible to listen too. The only thing he adds is once in a while, he's like here's what I would do here and then they run that play. But even that's annoying because if they don't run what he would've run, he's basically like they called the wrong play... even if it worked.
  5. The line opened at Miami as 3 point favorites.
  6. THIS. With this current regime, we should just trade all draft picks away to acquire proven talent in the league because it's been established that this front office has no clue how to evaluate, draft and develop any talent.
  7. I would think it's a calf. That's my best guess.
  8. I totally get the "throw your stuff away" sentiment and it was likely just lazy assholes who dump their stuff wherever they want, but the Jets staff are a bunch of idiots too. The first time I tailgated at Metlife, I wondered what to do with the coals, so I asked the two morons that were riding around in the golf cart. They literally said, "Just dump the coals and your empty water bottles/trash on the white line between the parking spots towards the front of the spot" (closest to where you pull in and out). It was only later when I went to go use the john that I saw the huge freaking orange bins marked for hot coal disposal.
  9. Nope. Cowboys would be in 1st place. Delusional Jerry would think everything he's done so far has been correct. Now,Desperate Insane Jerry is at the wheel. Everyone hang on. I believe Dez is coming back to Dallas soon.
  10. I agree that these are the kinds of games that need to be won to be a consistent winning team, but needed to post this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p3-eavMSBnk
  11. I don't understand this sentiment among Jets fans. Kirk Cousins has thrown for over 4,000 yards in his last 3 seasons with 25 or more TDs. Right now, he is is statistically the #5 QB in the league. COMP ATT % YARDS TDs INTs QBR 185 260 71.2 1,921 12 3 102.7 I'm glad we have Darnold and am excited about the future, but there is nothing about those numbers that would make me say I'm glad we're not "stuck" with Cousins.
  12. So like the title says probably a dumb question, but would appreciate a response from a season ticket holder or someone that knows. In the past I've only bought single game tickets and usually take the train in. My questions are... 1. When you buy season tickets, do you automatically get parking passes for the season too or would that be separate? 2. If they're included, what color pass would you get for 300 level prime? Thanks in advance.
  13. Yes. And most likely battery too if the beer actually hits the person. Different rules at a sporting event. When you go, you assume the risk of getting hit by a ball, bat, etc. It is not out of the ordinary to have a ball go into the stands at a game (unless he fired it at someone with the intent of hitting them). Now if he picked up a chair and threw it into the crowd, that's a different story.
  14. That's a good place to start your search. I'd also look at Livingston, Fair Lawn and Tenafly. Possibly Montclair and Ridgewood too
  15. Holding a clipboard is really not the way to go in today's NFL imo. You learn through playing and seeing the defenses firsthand. With that being said... all the "he's regressed" after playing good Jaguars, Browns and Dolphin defenses are unwarranted. But what's also unwarranted is the "he's the savior" comments after playing bad Lions, Broncos and Colts defenses. Truth is the jury's still out. He looks good. Needs to show the same consistency regardless of the defenses he's up against. There's definite promise for the future, but jumping to conclusions one way or another doesn't do any good.
  16. An impossibility for more than one reason...
  17. Rapelisberger's knack for this is incredible. It happened on the AB touchdown on Sunday. The play looked like it was dead. Juju stopped running his route and Rapelisberger motioned for him to get open and keep running. On the other side, AB never stopped... he immediately broke off the route he was running when he saw Ben scramble and turned up field and caught the ball in the end zone. We need playmakers like that to take advantage of Darnold's scrambling/throw on the run skills.
  18. The first angle made it look like a throw away because it looked like he just chucked it and got lucky. But the second angle shows he was looking that way the whole time. Looks like it was on purpose to me and not a throw away.
  19. Would definitely listen to Kramer/Storm before those two.
  20. Le'Veon Bell is undoubtedly a special talent, but owes a lot to the Steeler's offensive line and other weapons. That is evidenced by the fact DeAngelo Williams looked good when he started there and James Connor looking great at the moment. If Bell comes here behind this line and no other offensive weapons, he will see a considerable drop in production. It would be a mistake to trade for Bell.
  21. This is very true. Never was this more evident than halftime of the Browns game. The reporter asked Bowles how his strategy on defense will change now the Mayfield is in and his answer was "It wont. We run the same defense regardless of who we're playing" (or something close to that quote). Pathetic. This is so much worse that Schitty and his choreographed first 10-15 plays regardless of what the opposing defense was doing. Bowles doesn't know how to make any adjustments other than adjusting his belt after meals. Just stands there with the same stupid look on his face all the time.
  22. No wonder all 3 QBs looked great in preseason. Bowles was sending his regular, midseason form defense out there.
