  2. Sounds like an excuse. Then why have a coach? These coaches don’t have to accept a HC job if they don’t like the teams setup. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  3. News articles, where are your facts? Evidence? Statistics? Your NFL circles and news outlets are meritless. Articles can be produced from each team with pros and cons ranging from A to Z. Wins, losses, division titles, championship games and championships are what matters. Belicheck is extremely boring and gives the media nothing, but he wins. That’s what matters. 4. Of course it’s an opinion by you. I’m laughing at your league circles line. Don Shula won 0 Super Bowls with Dan Marino who are 2 of the best respectfully. Gase has been an HC for 4 years, not 1 which is more than an enough time to prove himself. And he has proven to be no better than leading an offense to no higher than 24th. Also, have you seen Ryan tannehill lately? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  5. I wouldn’t of hired him to begin with. Then stop labeling these guys outdated when they are light years ahead of Gase as HC. Once again, Gase or McCarthy? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  6. Great way to avoid Real Facts which includes winning games, winning percentage, championship game appearances and Super Bowl appearances. Which coach would you take? Gase or McCarthy? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  7. Gase is not a 1st year head coach! This was his 4th season as HC going on year 5. You want to discredit 2 coaches who each appeared in a Super Bowl and one who led his team to a championship. McCarthy won 13 games in his second season, 11 in his 4th year, 10 in his 5th and a Super Bowl. Gase? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  8. I’m going to present the facts again: McCarthy: 125-77-2, WP: 618, 1 championship, 9 time division champ, 4 NFC championship game appearances Gase: 29-35, WP: .469, that’s about it. Offenses finish 24th to worst as HC, forgot that part. Who has the better resume? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  9. Please tell me your joking. Your dismissing McCarthy’s championship. He has one of the highest winning percentage of any HC all time. Your saying Rivera went once in 8 years. You cannot be taken seriously. Gase has been no where near appearing in a super bowl. He has to get to one first to be mentioned in the same breathe as Rivera and win one to be mentioned along with McCarthy. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  10. If McCarthy and Rivera are regifted toys, then Gase to the Jets was a pile of charcoal! Both those guys reached a super bowl and McCarthy won his. What has Gase accomplished thus far as an HC? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  11. Sar 1 We tend to not see eye to eye on various Jets issues, however, I think your point is fair and achievable. I believe in Darnold and think he’s better than Allan, dolphins who knows, Brady (year older or steps away.) If Sam keeps working hard and there are upgrades on the offensive side of the ball, then he can move atop the division. The tools are there it’s just a matter of putting it all together. 15. Once again, I’m not doing the back and forth, but I’ll throw out questions and get no answers. What confidence do you have in this HC that he will lead this offense to top 10 in the NFL? He has not shown the ability to lead an offense higher than 24th with manning. How will he do it? Tannehill just finished the season as the top rated QB in the nfl. It’s amassing how well he did without Gase. Seems to be a trend. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  16. 11 wins and more importantly led the team to back to back AFC championship games. Not the biggest Rex fan, but those 2 seasons were fun, exciting, productive and almost led to a championship. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  17. Wrong, the roster was healthy for the Bills game and lost, our roster is much better than bengals and dolphins and those games should of been wins. The jets beat teams they should have beat. Seems like underachieving to me when you lose to 2 winless teams at the time of gameplay. Also, schedules change year to year and simply bringing in more talent doesn’t necessarily correlate with more wins. How the talent is utilized, when you play teams, gameplanning and many other factors decide a teams season. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  18. No, I want him gone, but before the season I thought they were a 10 win team. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  19. Beat the bills in Game 1, beat the bengals and dolphins which makes 10 wins. As much as I dislike the HC, 10 wins was achievable! Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  20. Before the season started, I saw this team as a 10 win team. Darnold played great down the stretch last year, they had an easier schedule with not much mileage, Gregg Williams leading the defense, and I thought the key was Dum Dum running the offense to Darnolds strength he was going to propel them to a 6th seed. Yes, there were injuries, but Darnold missed 3 games (Pats, Browns, Eagles) would he of won those games? Don’t know. On offense, had playmakers (Gase underutilized them) to not finish dead last in the NFL. The problem with this team is there’s always an excuse! When does it stop? Success does not come from excuse makers. Look at the schedule next year, it’s tough with 3 trips to the west coast. Will that be used as an excuse? We have Seattle, 49ers and some other really tough defenses to square up against. How will this HC gameplan to beat those type of teams? Beating lousy teams is great and all, but will this HC step up next season with his 32nd ranked offense and beat top tier and God forbid I say lead the Jets to be a top tier team. Based on his past offensive performances, I don’t see it. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  21. Your statements are meritless and offer absolutely no concrete evidence to back up any point you make. Your backing a HC with a 32nd ranked offense and who’s offense ranked bottom tier in the nfl the last few years. Please explain how this coach will suddenly lead this offense to top 10 or better? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  22. Gase admitted many times that he is hands off with the defense. Therefore, Gregg Williams is the guy who gets credit for leading that side of the ball. You stated he’s a better coach, then why not make him the HC and hire an offensive coordinator who will rank higher than 32nd in the league? Who is on our real offense? Is Gase the coach who will win a championship with this franchise? He offensive rankings are bottom of the NFL year in and year out, what will change moving forward? How will Gase turn this offense into top 10 in the league in offense. Gregg Williams saved him this season and the defense overachieved. Been waiting a long time to see this team win a championship, but I don’t see it with this HC. I’m hoping that I am completely wrong, but once again there’s nothing that leads me to believe this guy is a leader. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  23. 6-2 stretches since 2011 has nothing to do with nothing. The bottom line is the team finished 7-9, did not make the playoffs, offense was 32nd in the league. Is this coach poised to take the next step and lead this team to a championship? That’s what’s important. Bowled was a horrible HC, but Rex was Lombardi compared to Gase. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  24. Apples and oranges- Your second point proves who the better coach on the Jets is. Williams lost Mosley, essentially his QB of the defense. He also utilized no name CB’s and he was down to his 4th string LBer’s. The HC’s offense was pathetic and last in the league. Also, his offenses have been in the bottom of the league the last several years. I see a pattern of shi$$y coaching. What makes you think this HC is suddenly going to lead this team to perhaps a top 10 offensive ranking? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
