  1. Ty’son Williams averaged 6.2 yards per carry and was a healthy inactive last week. YPC isn’t everything.
  2. Well, security was proper tight but it was good to see players reactions as I gave them a cheer when they set off for walkthrough at the stadium. Lovely weather for it today.
  3. I'm going to head down to where they practiced today (and I'm assuming they're staying) in the morning. It's only about an hour from me. I'll see if I can grab some pictures and share them with you lot. Gives me an excuse to wave my UK Jets flag in public for a bit.
  4. I'm trying to work out where the **** they are. The Falcons took The Grove which is a popular hotel for sports teams, but I can't find anything about where the Jets are. I was hoping to give them a cheer.
  5. Calvin Ridley not travelling to London, will not play. No Russell Gage either.
  6. It's a sell out. Edit - which is technically 62,850. But I'm sure the seating configuration changes a bit for NFL.
  7. Got to give them credit. The Panthers really are going all out to reunite Sam with his favourite targets.
  8. Fair. Just seen plenty of comments over the years, even on here about going off and supporting someone else when the going gets particularly tough. It has never sat right with me. It was a sweeping statement, perhaps unfairly, like the original comment that European fans don’t like particular teams!
  9. This is so egregiously incorrect I actually laughed out loud. Unlike in America, fans over here don't typically change their minds when they support a team. We pick our teams and will go to war for them. Football has been big over here since the 1980s. This is the primary reason why a London franchise will never work. 90,000 fans go to these games. They support their team, we all play fantasy football, and just enjoy watching football. They won't drop their team for some random new franchise or "local team". And yes, to echo someone else on here we definitely play "spot the jersey".
  10. I can tell you two things. 1 - There are a weirdly large amout of Jets fans at London games. 2 - All it will take is a few high energy defensive hits, or a decent Wilson throw and the neutrals of other fans that turn up will quickly get behind the Jets. British football fans that go to these games just want to see energy on the field. One damp squib of a Matt Ryan deep ball and the crowd will quickly turn in our direction.
  11. To bench Wilson now, after the coaching staff and team leaders (Davis, Mosley etc) rally around him would show absolutely no faith in his ability to lead the team. You can't hand the keys to the guy and "you're our man" and then three weeks later take the keys back and say "actually, no, sorry about that, you're not quite our man yet" Wilson is not the only rookie QB struggling this season, nor will he be the last.
  12. I brought up the fact that the teams you mentioned have never been "bottom feeding teams". You were using them as the argument that they've turned around from sh*t to great in a year. They've not been as sh*t as we have. If we want to use that logic anyway irrespective of how much it doesn't compare to our situation, we were sh*t in 2018 (4-12) and then turned it around in 1 year like your other teams did to get to 7-9 in 2019. Then we're sh*t again in 2020 (2-14). So if we win 7 or 8 games this year does that mean we're exactly the same as everyone else and your original point is pointl
  13. And yet, I didn't state that was equal to booing a child did I? I disagree with your final sentence. You're calling it a "modest award". Where is the source of the drive to improve if you're going home with a trophy win or lose? Where does that fire to be the best come from? You think Tom Brady would want to win Super Bowls at 44 if he got a ring for taking part?
  14. You didn't bring us up in your post, so why would I?
  15. Zach Wilson is not a child. Not giving every child a medal, is not booing a child. You're twisting my words to suit a narrative.
  16. Ah so you'd want his schedule too. Up against two rookies and a pick machine. I see.
  17. Would Sam still have fumbled 4 times in our first 3 games like he has for the Panthers?
  18. It hardly matters now. We're a new team, new GM, new HC. Move on from Gase, the Jets have.
  19. Hold on a minute. When were the Bills a "bottom feeding team"? They've had at least 6 wins since 2011? Before the Cardinals won 3 games in 2018 they'd gone 10-6, 11-5, 13-3, 7-8-1, and 8-8 in the proceeding seasons. For someone called "Facts", you're comparing apples to oranges mate.
