I agree that our LB corps needs to be upgraded but, again, we need to pour almost everything we've got into the offense.

I actually would be OK if there is an outstanding monster TE in the draft but that is about it. I think we are OK at WR, and RB and we just need an insurance  policy for Becton. Everyone should be praying he plays next year.

LB?  We can't invest a #1 into our defense

QB?  After what we've seen with Sam and ZW, it would be insane to start a rookie QB.  Next year is not a "punt year" though.  We can't use a #1 pick on a guy we're not going to use immediately.

    Trade down?  Maybe.

We would not be starting a rookie unless Saleh and JD are insane. I would be hoping we get a Vet FA. Hell, if we can get Winston or even Tanny, I would be fine. At least we know these guys can play the position. Let them rookie sit. I mean are we supposed to wait until the window closes and we suck again?

And as good as the D is, we sucked against the run. Our LB are awful. Mosley will make 5 great plays and then gets beaten for a rediculous  TD. Quincy  is to up and down and makes too many tackles 5 yard down field. Who was the last LB who picked off a pass?

Fine. Any competent QB would struggle in MLF’s offense. Better? 4 of the QBs in this league can’t score at all and I’m sure that’s not a coincidence. This isn’t about Brady.

We have Wilson, White, Flacco, and Johnson as the QBs to play under MLF. Would you call any of them competent? I wouldn't.

Really?  What position are you thinking then?  Maybe a great WR or the top TE?

Definitely LB or trade down to the bottom of the first round and take an OL there. I would also consider QB if Levis slid. Just because Zach sucks doesn't  mean we have to stop trying to draft a QB. I also know many on this board don't  like Levis.  To me that is great because a Hell of a lot of posters here were in love with Wilson.

As far as I know, MLF is the main coach responsible for the train wreck of an offense. His playcalling is beyond terrible. He failed to score points will all 4 QBs on the roster in the last 3 games. Call it a bad QB situation, Tom Brady in his prime would struggle to score points with the plays being called.

He’s the only one who should be fired.

This is hilarious.  I love this Brady would struggle BS. Does Brady constantly throw behind his receivers, does he throw balls into the dirt,  does he take unnecessary  hits or does he get rid of the ball before the rush gets to him, do his TE, RBs and receivers suck and drop passes or has he had guys like Welker, Moss, Gronk, White and Edelman to throw to. I mean who on the Jets except Hall and GW compare to them and Hall played for what, 6 games? Now Brady is throwing to Godert and Evans. Stop bringing up Brady. He has played with way more talented skill positions than any QB ever did on the Jets.

We can't go into next season counting on Becton for anything.  He'll have gone 2 straight seasons without playing.  We have to be ready to completely write him off.

I agree we need LB but I don't think we can afford to invest much on that side of the ball.  We need to throw everything we've got at our offense.  I think it's realistic that the OL can be rebuilt with 2 picks in the 1st 2-to-3 rounds.  Not sure if we can still get an impact skill position player with that other pick.  If we pick 8th in the 2nd round (since I think the order snakes each round for teams with the same record), possibly there will still be a WR there.  That would be pick #40.  This is what was available last year.

If we take an OL in the first, JD should be fired.

The question is who should be fired?  Not who will be fired.

Should I add a "keep-them-all" choice for you? or we can just leave it here as a write-in ballot?

How can you judge anyone with the QB situation we just went through. Yeah, MLF made sone stupid calls but he is the best OC we have had here in years. At least he uses sone imagination.  Saleh I don't  know what to think. I like his energy but he seems a bit lost at times. I'm willing to watch for another season. Same for JD. If he doesn't  have an outstanding draft, it might be time to look elsewhere.

  8. Actually I think we have a bright future. We have studs at WR and RB. AVT and Becton will be back next season, our D has a pass rush for the first time in like a decade, Sauce is a beast, DJ is a great DB as well. Weak spots are LB, S and OT and of course QB. I think most of that will be addressed in FA. I can see a big ticket OT being acquired, I doubt we go the Carr route at QB. I think someone like Dalton is more likely, .LB we can address in the draft.

We are not in bad shape.

QB: We have a gigantic hole at QB1

RB: Breece is great but he's coming off a major injury.  The rest are jags

WR: GW is a star but he's pretty much all we've got.  Eli Moore is a wildcard but he really has been kind of disappointing.  Corey Davis probably will be gone.

TE: Our TEs are mediocre at best.  Ruckert is a wildcard but who knows.

OL: Our OL is a mess and AVT is coming off a major injury.

In short, on the offensive side of the ball (which is the more important side in today's NFL), we are a disaster.  We can address OL with our 1st rounder and we have a high 2nd rounder that can probably get us a quality player.  But after that, it's probably a crapshoot.  Odds are that JD doesn't have nearly as good of a draft as he did last year.

In terms of FA, if we pay Derek Carr, I don't know how much money we're going to have left over to improve other parts of this team.

Our defense is very good but it has holes and our ST stink.  But these needs have to be subjugated because the offense needs the overwhelming amount of attention this offseason.

I don't  think it's as bad if people come back healthy. We probably need a LB or two. I honestly don't want to see another high investment on the OL. I'm actually hoping  Becton won't  be injured again. The photos I saw of him about a month ago, he looked great.

I can’t imagine any OC candidate with legit options would want to come here to work with a lame duck Saleh.

Id assume they are looking for someone experienced so probably need to target a guy off a coaching staff that will be fired.

    Options:

    Marcus Brady/Parks Frazier-Colts OC

    Pep Hamilton-Houston Texans

    Ben McAdoo-Carolina Panthers

    Nathanial Hackett-Denver Broncos

    Other options:

Joe Brady: Former Carolina OC current Buffalo QB coach

Mike McCoy: Fomer Chargers HC, Denver OC, Arizona OC current Jacksonville QB coach

Brian Schottenheimer-Former Jets, Seahawks, Jaguars OC current analyst for Dallas Cowboys

Jason Garrett: Former Cowboys OC & HC, Giants OC & currently on TV

Darrell Bevell: Former Seahawks & Jaguars OC & current QB coach for Dolphins

Tom Clements: Former Bills and Packers OC, Current QB coach for Green Bay Packers (69 years old and probably not leaving Green Bay)

Karl Dorrell: Former Jets WR coach, Fired as HC of Colorado and UCLA

Chad Oshea: Former Dolphins OC and current Cleveland Browns WR coach.

Nobody is getting fired.  I would be shocked of that happened. Woody isn't  Dan Snyder.

Meaningless game. Two previous weeks they had EVERYTHING TO PLAY FOR AND DIDN'T SHOW UP.  So, tomorrow I expect the same non nonexistent effort. 60-0 nothing would be nice. Players laughing it up on the sidelines...Hopefully more Grinch and Bunny costumes. Let the entire Clown Show be in full effect. And then hopefully Woody will pick up the phone and call Harbaugh an Peyton.

This coach and staff suck. We finally have some good young players, lets get a proven winner with HC experience in to coach them.

I'm actually happy as Hell Flacco is starting. Now sit GW, Q, and Sauce

Did you notice how differently the Rams have been using him? They’ve been using a lot of designed rollouts with him. Something we still haven’t done with ZW in two years.

This really has to stop. Zach is a disaster.

The kid can play. Played hurt in Cleveland and they dumped him which meant his story there did not have a happy ending.

Carolina was a toxic environment and they dumped him.

    Played well with the Rams.

If you don't land a top tier guy like Aaron Rodgers or David Carr, then Mayfield makes a ton of sense.

Am I right, or am I right?

  14. I think this is pretty funny that so many of you care about playing Wilson in this game. I mean did anyone think Breece Hall was going to get a season ending injury in like week 6 or that Zach would get a non-contact injury and he is out for 7 weeks.
