  1. I believe Douglas wants to build the locker-room around high character guys like Steve Mc and will draft players based on that type of quality. I don't see him taking a Polite type of player or even wasting a 7th rounder on someone like that. Look at what Williams did with the defensive side with players who were 5th and 6th stringers on the roster all good ability but what separated them was they bought into the team first mentality and left their ego's out. With this said it's his first draft and control over the roster in free agency. We will see shortly how it all plays out.
  2. He played with Crowder so I'm sure he had some input. Worth the risk very low down side. Robbie is gone for sure that's the reality. Plenty of WR's in the draft and still have Vincyth Smith with some upside and a special teamer. The next decision will be what to do with Quincy.
  3. Hey Sarge you attending the game? I'm thinking about heading over there Friday.
  4. More to be revealed after the team does it's research. Physiology is hard to predict there are always strengths and weaknesses that will go undetected even with all this great technology.
  5. Might be facing the 2 teams in the SB either way you are spot on. I was thinking the same thing. The schedule will be relentless. Joe D has to get this OL straightened out.
  6. Joe d has his work cut out for him with the OL. Biggest priority we have.
  7. It's not guaranteed what's the problem here?
  8. So his rationale is that the trade of the 3rd and fifth was worth it. Worst case was get a 3rd compensatory if it does not work out. Not sure about that. We got the best of that deal I believe considering the draft position of the 3rd we got.
  9. I watched it and it was as expected. This is his first year and a full off season and he controls the draft picks. Reality is he needs 2 full years of off season and draft picks then we all can judge properly. Look at Dorsey and everything he had going for him all that talent supposedly and all the draft picks. 6-10 result with a much better roster then we had. The biggest take from his presser is that he wants high character players and players with passion for the game. So there are the answers anyone can get from the presser. I'll end with this how could anyone expect a guarantee from him knowing nothing in the league is a guarantee? I would suggest to keep the expectations within reason it will help keep your sanity.
  10. So he's out 6 months he will be ready by training camp. So with any surgery we will see how he heals and hope he doesn't lose to much mobility. Herndon is still a good player if he can stay out of trouble. Wesco is still a work in progress and I think he played well when given an opportunity.
  11. What's he suppose to say? If he is going to be a really good GM he knows his actions are better than hollow words like many before him. I'm sure he is very aware of the glaring weak areas of the team. One thing is for sure I believe he wants 20 players who have the same character traits as Steve McClendon and have a deep passion for the game as Adams. So we will find out soon enough. I might even try to make to the Senior Bowl. Only 3 hrs. from there.
  12. He took the money and totally gave up his football passion. Another one of many who are just money grabbers. If Williams couldn't restore his passion it's time to move on.
  13. I believe Jenkins is a Joe D type player and is a good locker room presence. I think he will take a decent offer thrown his way to stay.
  14. Wish him well with that request. At best I see him get a 3yr with 9 mil guarantee.
  15. I don't why some people here think a WR is more important pick than a OL. What good is having a great WR when your QB is under siege every down? The greatest need and want should be to keep Sam upright and healthy. When any QB has time to throw any decent WR will look like a pro bowler. My take is this by priority 1) OL 2) Edge rusher 3) DB shut down
  16. He should of just came out admitted that owning a professional team takes more than having a bankroll and a business background to be a good owner. I just don't believe that the Johnson's have the passion for being owners in the NFL.
  17. Joe D has to have full control of the roster and make decisions based on his football knowledge and trust his decision making process. If the owners don't let that happen then what's the sense of having a GM? Either they trust who they hired or just do the Jerry Jones owner and GM thing.
