precisely. BB is a football genius. Personally, I think he exposed a flaw in Sam's game that week. after his 1st INT, they showed a graphic for Sam previously against the blitz. I forget exact numbers, but he had 0 INTs, and a very good rating. 4 INTs later, and it messed with his head. and I think it carried over into the Jags game (ghostbusters?), and to a lesser extent, even the fins game. Thank God the vagiants are just a dumpster fire and he was able to get back on track! I think the comparison the Favre I saw ealier here is a great one. take that throw to Robbie last week: Sam has a TON of room to easily run for a 1st down, but instead throws a pinpoint pass JUST over the defender for a huge gain. He took a chance; it paid off. if the defender jumps an inch higher, EVERYONE is killing him for making a stupid decision when he could have run for an easy 1st down. It's plays like that: you have to accept the potential for the bad play in order to get the amazing play.

I agree, and think of it this way: the Jets would only be 2 games out of a division championship if they were in the NFC East! that says something!!

NOBODY is saying top 5 QB. Not that I have seen anyway. But the CONSTANT beat downs...week...after week...after week.....it's nauseating! I mean the kid has a great game, and all you hear on here is: "yeah well it's the giants". He has 4 TD passes and it's: "yeah, BUT it was the redskins, AND he had a terrible INT". Then you figure he has a great game against a (then ) playoff team and there are still complaints! all this with a God-awful line (80% of which are not even the starters!), no Quincy, no herndon, etc. again, I have never said top 5 QB, but it's almost like people on here are rooting AGAINST him!

LOVE the people on here always complaining about Darnold.....yeah because we have had such a long line of elite QBs. HUGE shoes for Sammy to fill: immortals like Geno, Hack, Sanchize, the Beard, etc etc etc. Come on people! Not like he’s replacing Montana or Brady here!

I agree. For people like me (born in the 70s), SOJ is not a game like NE where we get blown out; SOJ is Jets BEATING team like the Pats one week, then losing the very next week to a team that has not won a game all year(I.e. Bengals). Jets NEED TO WIN these next two games!

here we go. it's amazing how a couple of weeks ago, the Jets are "the worst team in the NFL", and now they win back to back games, and people on here shrug there shoulders like: "so what?" Now people like Villain are getting nervous that the Jets may actually beat the Raiders so now we are putting them in the "sucky team" category? wow. Really cannot believe this place sometimes.

I'm not going to say 9-1 or 10-0, but he would be doing just fine on the Ravens. and to even mention him and Brady in the same sentence is crazy. reality? yes, it is a poor year. a lot of us thought they may have a shot of making the playoffs. then Sam got mono, CJ got injured, we realized we had a terrible o-line with no depth, AND lost 4 of 5 of the guys on that line, oh yeah and Bell isn't Bell. but sure, the first thing I thought this morning when I woke up after a 2nd straight Jets win was: "damn Sam sucks. wish we had Baker" that's it - you've convinced me. we should get rid of Sam and tank for Tua!!

"greatness"??? who said anything about greatness? holy crap this has gotten out of control. take Baker and Sam off their respective teams - the browns are head and shoulders better than the Jets (as presently constituted). put Lamar on the Jets - he's in a coma in the hospital with our o-line put Baker on the Jets - he's probably in jail for killing the Jets beat reporter for asking tough questions! but in all seriousness, people have to relax. Sam has 4 of 5 O-lineman out, his #1 WR out for year, his best TE out for year, and Bell cannot get 100 yards rushing (or 100 yards TOTAL) in a game. Jets beating anyone is impressive.

I sure as hell don't. the fact that Sam can beat ANYBODY with that line and those "weapons" amazes me. Griffin??? who? Dan Brown? didn't he write "The DaVinci Code" or "Inferno" or something?

I agree - one day. but the pro-Sam people jump on with this after each win, and the anti-Sam guys do the same after a loss. he looks real good. let's get a team around him now and then maybe compare.

I cannot believe we are doing this...AGAIN.... Lamar is playing out of this world, but that being said: if he was on the Jets, he'd be in a hospital (probably in a coma). and if Sam was in Baltimore, they'd probably win the SB. I don't care who they play right now: the fact that the New York Jets can beat ANYONE right now with that team they put on the field amazes me.
