  1. My opinion is this is a great opportunity for a head coach Respected and knowledgeable GM Some young talented players Plethora of draft picks most money to spend for Pro Bowl caliber talent can make this team turn from laughing stock to contender very quickly
  2. THIS ORGANIZATION SHOULD STOP GETTING CUTE. LET DOUGLAS DO WHAT HE WAS HIRED TO DO DAMMIT AND THAT IS TOO BUILD A CONSISTENT WINNER AND BRING THIS MORIBUND TEAM TO A SUPER BOWL VICTORY END OF STORY !!!!!!
  3. This would lead me to believe that The Jets can get a bigger haul for the # 2 pick in the draft. Let the bidding begin
  4. Keep Darnold Get a competent coaching staff , build the oline, sign a bona fide # 1 receiver or two and generally upgrade talent on entire team. If Sam fails with some actual NFL level talent and an able NFL coaching then move on. Until then no raw rookie QB will elevate the Jets out of the abyss they are in now
  5. Been saying this for quite a long time. Dominant run game combined with good defense controls the game This has been and always will be the formula for winning on a consistent basis in the NFL
  6. Two things I like about this post. I completely agree with DWC and second is it’s brevity
  7. Let’s get ourselves a bookend tackle to go with Becton ( ala Marvin Powell & Chris Ward ) and keep Fant as quality depth & insurance in the event of injury albeit at a reduced salary.
  8. Rodney Dangerfield going to college in Back to School is my all time favorite movies Remember the Titans is another really good movie as well in a totally different genre of flick
  9. Trade the first pick for a haul of picks and address all needs especially o line with said picks and the money that has us under the cap. Team would be light years ahead in talent than it is now then get QB a la the situation that Sanchez was in with a great o line and dominant defense. That way team is set up for sustainable success
  10. If Gase is retained Gase has pictures of Woody with small farm animals in compromising positions
  11. Disagree History shows Not a good idea to have 2 perceived # 1 QBs as it can divide a locker room very quickly. Morton - Staubach and Robinson- Todd are two that quickly come to mind. As one was traded the teams they were on played noticeably better it didn’t hurt that Staubach was a future hall of famer.
  12. I thought the linebacker from Alabama McCants ( forget his first name ) was going to be a great player
  13. More like a Gomez Adam’s role
  14. How in the world can you even suggest that Walt Michael’s inherited a team with talent. He and the front office took a totally crap team devoid of talent and within 3 years had built a playoff team. To me Walt is a top three coach in Jets history
  15. Can’t put Riggins in as a fullback. When he was a Jet he was more like a halfback he was fast and powerful. Only became more like a fullback when he got older and slower but became more powerful as a runner in my opinion. Aside from my feeling he is definitely top three back
  16. My Dad took me to the old Garden on 50th and Broadway to see the Knicks play the Sixers with Chamberlain. The Knicks still had Bellamy and Komives Reed was in his second year Frazier was a rookie Don’t remember who won but I do remember after game took me to Nedicks for a hot dog and Orange soda My favorite team of all time was the 69-70 Championship team used to love the game. Point is I haven’t watched a Knicks game start to finish in over 15 years just don’t like the way it is played anymore too much chucking and not enough team play. Agree 100 percent with Joe Willy on this one
  17. Adam’s replacement with better cover skills
  18. Chris Ward drove me up a wall. He was a holding penalty just waiting to happen
