  1. Don’t think Clowney is any better than what is on roster now. Use available resources for O line help and hope that Quinnen Williams plays to his lofty draft position
  2. I normally don’t advocate trading the teams best player but this is a special situation. I would trade Adams but not for McCaffery but to whoever gives the most in draft picks and players. My reasoning is this Adams game changing plays normally come when he is up on the line and rushing the passer So if the Jets draft an edge rusher ( the kid from LSU I think his name is Kareem comes to mind) Adams really becomes expendable since the drafted edge rusher and Adams essentially play the same position. Parlay the high picks received into o line and receiver help and let Greg Williams work his magic on defense again. Also as many people have stated paying upwards of 15 million for a safety that is on a team that is probably two years away from being a viable playoff contender is in my opinion not a good idea. Money saved can be used for Darnold contract (provided he truly is the real deal) and or other needs that can be addressed via free agency
  3. Tom while this very true that Idzik was employed quickly I believe he was quickly hired for his cap acumen rather than his personnel decisions
  4. Ron Faurot. Another ill fated first round d lineman. Man was he terrible
  5. Freeman was a dam fine back. His 200 yard game against Bengals in the playoffs was fantastic. Bengals defense couldn’t tackle him for nothing that day. One of the best if not the best rushing games any Jet back ever had. His game the following week against the Raiders was a pretty good encore as well

  8. It’s not a bad game but I wonder if it can be sustained when injuries occur to the starters and talent level starts to drop
  9. 33 million for a middle of the road QB? Not a chance would I pay that kind of cash
  10. If I remember correctly there were 3 Jones boys on that team. Johnny Lam Johnny Ham but can’t remember the third one
  11. Unabashedly old school here I still believe in a dominant , game controlling run game ( loved the way niners ran the ball against the Packers ) efficient passing game with a top five defense. Has worked for as long as the league has been in existence
  12. SAR as with Max I hope you are correct but to go 5-1 in the division and going west and beating Rams is a tall order. 12-4 would be great but I think a competitive 8-8 is more realistic
  13. Max. I admire your optimism but it is going to take a year possibly two to right this ship. Plus right now the Jets have an extremely difficult schedule ahead of them so I am hoping that you are right but can’t see it happening. 8-8 to me would be a great accomplishment for this team
  14. Dam haven’t been to Spumoni Gardens in years. Love their pizza. Gastineau you have just inspired me to go to Brooklyn and hit Faiccos , Spumoni Gardens and possibly Rolling Roaster. For my Super Bowl viddles
  15. Don’t want Brady to leave just yet as I believe FatherTime has caught up to him and with the Patriots apparently on the decline. Want to see The Jets do too Brady & the Pats what they did to us the past decade or so.
  16. Crimson could not agree with you more. I have not bought a gallon of Hess gas or knowingly spent a red cent on any Hess product since he moved them out of NY
  17. So far Everything looks and sounds great but. The only way we will know if we hit paydirt with JD is in the next two to three years. If he can draft like Ron Wolf and Walt Michaels who got us Klecko Gastineau Lyons Walker Dierking Kevin Long Buttle Shuler Lyons et al then we will know for sure the Jets are on the way to sustainable success. Boy I sure hope he works out. Incompetence has reigned for far too long in that front office
  18. David “ Deacon “ Jones Fred “ The Hammer” Williamson
  19. To me Earl Campbell was the best back of his era and is in the top 3 running backs of all time. Could either run you over or run past you. Loved watching him carry the ball
  20. Joe Namath Dan Alexander Emerson Boozer Jerome Barkum Nick Mangold Brick Kevin Long Joe Klecko Wesley Walker Al Toon Age 61
  21. When I first got my seasons way back in the late 70’s they were $72.00 per seat I had two SECTION 26 ROW J SEATS 1&2. Don’t have them anymore but when I did there was nothing better than going to games and my surrounding section mates never missed a game. Lots of fun was had back then
  22. I know I know but still rough to look at. Big big Boo
