    No he didn't.

He's okay but will never make the tough catches and that's what separates these guys.  From what we've seen, if the balls not right on him, he's not coming down with it.  Forcing ZW to be perfect and when you try to be perfect you make mistakes.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Zach? Perfect? Lol he can't even hit a *cling 5 yard pass

BS. That was a contested catch. He had a CB draped all over him

  3. Make no mistake, this is very much a winnable game for the Jets. The Falcons are a flawed team in many different ways. They're also taking the injury bug on the chin. At this point honestly I think the Jets SHOULD win this game. But the way they'll lose it is if they decide not to do their jobs. They finally found chemistry last weekend but it's a fragile thing. They can just as easily lose it as they can continue on building it. I think the key here is for Zach to execute the game plan and play some boring football. If he does that I think the Jets win....

  4. Today is another test for Corey Davis. He definitely does Get the dropsies from time to time, but he is most certainly a number 1 WR. He made a fantastic CONTESTED catch against the Titans in the end zone last weekend. So all of you yahoos that were flapping your guns can shut it. Whether you think he's worthy of the title "number 1 wideout" or not is IRRELEVANT. He IS the Jets number 1 wideout.

  5. Figure Geno Smith will put up his best numbers over this potential month span. Remember Smith is playing with a better supporting cast than he ever had with the Jets. Just the same, Geno has the general overall intelligence level of a pile of dog sh*t, so that should bode well for the Jets. All things considered though, the Seahawks are going to be hard pressed to match last year's success....

  6. If you read the board during Hendon's time with the Jets, you would be regaled with stories of his impending greatness.  Or with excuses galore like:  "Just never got a proper chance", "Bad coaching decisions", "Scheme oddities", and/or "Misalignment of the stars".  Nothing about the fact that he was an awful pick and can't catch worth a sh*t.
ALL of your post is true. And what I mean by that is he never did get a proper chance, bad coaching, etc., so on and so forth.

The ideas aren't exactly opposing. Herndon had a temporary flair of greatness and now we see he was a wasted 3rd rounder by a GM that might go down as the very worst in history.

It was time for Herndon to go. He'd warn out his welcome despite being treated like sh*t by the Jets anyway. Just like Sammy he needed new pastures.

The best part is Joe Douglas managed to recover way, way, WAY more than he should have....

  7. Ok, we head across the pond to face the Atlanta Falcons who are 1-3 coming off a loss to the WFT. Their one win comes against the NY Giants.
It should be noted the Falcons lost their punter and their nickel corner Issiah Oliver to injuries on Sunday. Rookie Avery Williams will slide into to replace Oliver.
    Initial Thoughts?
Atlanta running game has been anemic but they still have this guy named Matt Ryan. How do we feel about this matchup?
Will our offense continue to roll?
Lets get the W. Discuss Jets Falcons.
If they are truly one dimensional as you say? I would only keep 7 in the box. Commit both of our Safeties to bracket both of their wideouts. I'm also aware Matt Ryan isn't exactly the most fleet of foot, so if you crunch the pocket? That's probably right where he'll be.

On offense, I'd like to see Zach just execute the plays that are called. Play boring football as they say. The Falcons won't be expecting that. No one has ever seen Zach just follow the script. He's too young and too new. Have Lafleur design a game plan that takes advantage of what the defense gives them. So long as the Jets defense keeps up their end of the bargain, that should be enough to seal the win.....
