  1. I’m an attorney. I think Rusty knew this was all going to come out during depositions anyway and he was trying to “take the sting out” by revealing this at the press conference. It’s a common tactic in litigation as it would be worse if the other side proves sexual encounters in a “aha” moment. In any event, the longer this goes the worse this is going to get for Watson. He may not have done everything he is accused of but now it’s clear he’s not innocent. If I was his lawyer, I’d beg and plead with him to settle with these women outside of Court. This is only going to get worse for him
  2. A low risk move. Chances are he won’t stay healthy, but if he gives us even 8 or 9 good games it’s worth it at that salary. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  3. I’d say I’m slightly disappointed. I like the Davis and Lawson signings but how did we not address cornerback at all? We got torched last year. And is Feeney really the best guard we could find? Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  4. Let’s get this done. Another young wide out in his prime. Allows us to focus on other needs in the draft. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  5. I understand good teams are built in free agency and not the draft but this is 2 years in a row the Jets are going to be way under the salary cap. We are a New York team in a multi-billion dollar industry. We should be spending some money. Douglas needs to get off his hands and improve this team. 7. Great move. Let’s get another pass rusher and juju. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  8. This is a good start. I think signing juju to pair with Davis would be wise. Then sign 2 pass rushers (maybe trey and clowney). Then the jets can focus on qb, o-line and corner in the draft. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  9. Maye is a good player but why would the jets pay him more than the franchise tag on an annual basis? Maybe they should extend the length of the deal maybe 3 for 30 or something like that, but why pay 3 for 45 or 50 like Maye probably wants? Maye literally has no leverage here. 10. Throughout this thread and this site in general people keep saying that Darnold “regressed” after his rookie year due to Gase’s bad coaching as a fact. While Gase is no Lombardi, there was no regression. Sam was actually better by virtually every measure in 2019 than he was in 2018. The fact is he was one of, if not the, single worst quarterback in the league as a rookie. He has not improved in any meaningful way since then, but a regression would mean he was good at one point and then got worse. That simply did not happen. Sam was a bad from day 1 and we need to move on rather than to cl
  11. I would give the first draft a B-. I would’ve take wirfs over beckon. I like Becton but I thought and still think wirfs is the safer long term option. Although becton has more upside. Mims and Davis both flashed talent but couldn’t stay healthy. Perrine did nothing. Hall in my opinion was the steal of the jets draft. I think he’s a starter in the league and he fits salahs system perfectly. Overall the draft was decent. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  12. I’d draft Fields and sit him for a year so he can get fully familiar with the west coast system which is not easy to learn. Then you still have the 2 Seattle picks and the jets own future picks to build a team. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app

    Mac Jones

It’s almost impossible to scout Jones. He’s looked great all year but that team is so stacked. D. smith was wide open all game and Harris requires a ton of attention. It won’t be so easy in the nfl. I can’t remember many good quarterbacks coming out recently with so so arms and no mobility who were good. I think it’s too big of a risk.
