  1. Rumors from Tony Pauline..LOL Well my Aunts mail man says the Jets have no interest in a 32 year old pass rusher who's gonna cost 18-20 mill per year.
  2. So 2 and half hours in to free agency we don't want Joe Douglas fired anymore?
  3. We're 10 minutes into legal tampering and we have signed nobody.. Joe Douglas just isn't the guy.
  4. You're the one that needs help sir. I don't recommend seeking it on JN forum tho
  5. The only person I see complaining about the post is YOU! Everyone else having civil conversation and enjoy the post. YOU dropped the comment to seek attention. Mods could of removed if it cluttering the forum. I'm sorry if this particular thread interrupted your reading from the 50 other "Here's what Joe Douglas should do this off-season" threads. Your personal inconvenience doesn't seem to be deterring anyone else from enjoying the thread
  6. Imagine commenting this 3 pages in. The first post just cluttered with people holding razor blades to their wrists in thier bathtub with candles lit. This is for people who aren't emotionally unstable miss me with that BS.
  7. He put some great numbers but sure ad hell didn't amount to anything in the long run. We won 10 games cool, No playoff appearances to show for it doesn't impress me. Just gives people on forums some lame things to cling to as a brief glimmer of success.
  8. I disagree. We have seen years of bad contracts and trades that have set us back a decade. What Jets fans want is like wanting a microwave dinner over a meal made from scratch. Microwave dinner gets the food done quicker, But isn't nearly as good or satisfying as making it from scratch. Making it from scratch is worth the wait and far more satisfying.
  9. Yeah the whole singing and trading for proven commodity has worked out really well for us the past decade.
  10. One thing about Jets fans, you guys love trading assets and overpaying for mediocre production. Cooper is overrated, Is invisible in big moments and throws Dak under the bus what do you think he's going to do on the Jets other than cost take $20 Million per season from JD? Save your "But what about Diggs and Josh Allen arguments" Cooper is not Diggs. The past 2 drafts alone have shown receivers are easy to find and cheap. I would much rather pay Oline CB Edge than pay $20 millon for 1 receiver. Everyone needs to settle down.
  11. Who ever was in the market for a wide receiver that cost 20 millon and requires draft picks should stick to playing Madden. Have y'all seen the past 2 drafts with receivers taken in the first 2 rounds? Receivers grow in trees. Quality QB's Oline+Pass rushers don't and that should be the focus.
  12. Sure you're could argue that the greatest show on Turf had a slightly better offense then what Stafford has now. We're talking Hall of fame though. Warner won multiple MVPS, Super bowl MVP.. First team all-pro.. Stafford has good, not great numbers no awards, and won a superbowl on one of the most loaded rosters the NFL has ever seen. That's pretty good career but not hall of fame to me.
  13. Ok go compare that Rams 2001 defense to the Rams current defense and tell me which one you're taking. Stafford had his typical Stafford game decent numbers with a high amount of throws. But Rams pass rush in the second half was the reason they won that game. Stafford did enough to compliment his defense but Hall Of Farmer? Chill
  14. Has 1 more game per season now than Warner, Played on a far more loaded team. Was #1 overall pick, Warner undrafted there's your discussion
  15. Was during this stream.. I actually LOL'D at Mike's comments towards him. Elijah first shows up at 1:48:00 Interaction with Mike happens at 1:55:00
  16. It's a rumor as advertised in the the title in case you missed that part. You must be new to the offseason if you're not used to this kind of thing. Welcome! This is the the time of year where everyone posts insane amounts of articles linking us to every player you could possibly name on 2 hands. Everyone spectacles what they're going to do and mostly everyone is way off. Its the funnest time of year
  17. Jets Trade Rumors: NY Would Prefer to Deal No. 10 Pick in 2022 NFL Draft DORIC SAM JANUARY 19, 2022 The New York Jets are sitting pretty in the 2022 NFL Draft with two top-10 picks, but the team reportedly might seek to deal one of them. According to Ralph Vacchiano of SNY, the Jets are open to trading the No. 10 pick in hopes of acquiring more assets. "It's too early to know anything, but I've heard rumblings that the Jets prefer to trade this pick if they can," Vacchiano wrote. New York will also pick at No. 4, making its second selection somewhat expendable for the right price. Vacchiano pointed out that the Jets could use the pick to land a star player, but he believes the more likely scenario is that they try to add another first-round selection. "And while they could use it to bring back a player (like, maybe a No. 1 receiver), I think it’s more likely they trade down and see if they can pick up an extra No. 1 pick for next year," Vacchiano wrote. The 2022 draft is light on quarterback prospects, so if they start to fall the Jets would be in prime position to strike a deal with a desperate team. Vacchiano used the Chicago Bears trading up with the New York Giants to select Justin Fields in last year's draft as an example. The upcoming draft will be crucial to the Jets' improvement going forward. New York owns nine picks, with four selections in the top 38, so general manager Joe Douglas will have to bring in the right players that will create a foundation for the team for years to come. That's easier said than done with a franchise that is known for draft-day blunders. The Jets went 4-13 this season and finished in last place in the AFC East. Rookie quarterback Zach Wilson, last year's No. 2 overall pick, got off to a rough start but finished strong with no interceptions in his final five games. https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10024264-jets-trade-rumors-ny-would-prefer-to-deal-no-10-pick-in-2022-nfl-draft
  18. Isn't that what Corey Davis and Denzel Mims are supposed to do? Lol Joe Douglas has shown a favoritism towards "big body" receivers since he's been here to not much effect. To this point.. The most production he's gotten from the position are guys who are under 6 feet (Moore & Berrios) Why? Cause they're more versatile. You can do more with them scheme wise. Jets don't need big body receivers they have guys who do that already. They need more guys like Elijah Moore. Playmakers
  19. We have Corey Davis & Denzel Mims what did those guys do this year? Outside of being good blockers? Davis had some decent games but too many crucial mistakes. Mims is cheeks. It's a east to west offense, versatility speed and route running are what works for this system. Built similarly to 9ers who have Kittle and he's under 6'5. Of you wanna take a flyer on a guy mid rounds or small deal in free agency sure. Other than that nah being "bigger" is far from what this offense needs.
  20. This sounds like 2000s nfl speak. It's just not fact tho. You don't "need" 6'4 receivers anymore. Bills, Bengals, Chiefs, 9ers all advanced this week and have superstar who are 6'1 an under. Catch up with the times my man.
  21. This is a bad thing?? LOL what planet does this fan base live on some times? The Jets haven't had a receiver with TO abilities EVER. "Hard no thank you" *Compares to HOF receiver who's top 10 in every receiving statical category, caught 10 passes in a superbowl on a broken foot. Hard pass for me.. Y'all kill me sometimes
  22. He isn't going to stay of Rodgers is leaving. I think it all comes down to what he values winning or money. The Jets would have to massively overpay and nothing about Douglas says he's going to do that. He's 29 and has a short window left in his prime, This team is not a WR away from a championship. Can we please learn from past mistakes yet? Let's not throw around insane money to guys who are mailing it in for a payday for the love God, No more.
  23. Jetsallday24x's offseason Plan #1 Resign Foley, Berrios, Cole, Pineiro, Maye, (If Maye will take short term team friendly deal.) Not much to say here, Resign your own guys who contribute and you won't break the bank for. #2 . Trade for Ridley Or sign younger receiver you won't have to break the bank for + Draft one in rd 3 or later. #WR 1 is already on the roster. (Elijah Moore) exclusively leaving him in the slot like it seems alot of people here want to do would be coaching malpractice. The receiving core should be built around his skill set. He's legit. #3. Double dip at Tight end. One in Free Agency one in RD2 of draft. We have worst Tight end group in the league simple as that I don't see a guy in free agency worth breaking the bank for that's fits scheme. That suddenly turns are our tight end room around. The whole room needs a rebuild just add bodies. #4. Trade down from 4 If offer comes from Qb needy team and Hutchinson + Thibodaux are gone. This draft is absolutely loaded with defensive talent, + guys fall every year that nobody expects. Im not in the camp of taking a DB in top 5 we saw with Jamal as good as he was it was a massive reach. 5. Use rest of draft capital to add more oline help and and rebuild the defense. Have assets to do both. Assuming we try and don't get Schreff then RG should be high on list of need. Don't know if there's a guard worth taking in top 5 but 10 or later could be an option. After that defense, defense & more DEFENSE
