This is perfect for us.
Saleh is going to fail in 2023 and Harbaugh will finally be ready to come back to the NFL.

The Raiders have the 32nd-ranked defense since Carr entered the league. Has never played on a team that ranked better than 20th on defense.
Yet JD will get suckered into trading the house for Lamar Jackson, who winds up missing a ridiculous amount of playing time with us.

In 2 years, Saleh has shown almost nothing. He is amongst the bottom 1/3rd coaches in NFL.
Bottom 1/4th.

5th year option too. Then a tag. He might sign long term looking at all of that.

I'm going to enjoy the 3 years we have left of him playing for us before he bolts for a competent organization

Skylar Thompson is the QB who had a better preseason than The Strev. And he stinks too.

Miami Dolphins: Skylar Thompson is the MVP of the preseason
Blasphemous.
Chris Streveler did more with less and went 3-0 in the preseason while cleaning up Wilson/Flacco/White's messes with 3 comeback wins.
Dont you dare sully the kings name again.

Herbert cannot get his team over the hump, maybe it’s the organization that always seem to have decent regular season and can’t get it done in the playoffs.
It really is @SoJetsyto be overly critical of a young pro bowl playoff quarterback while we wallow in two decades of QB misery.

can you give us a few examples of where a HC was fired and an assistant on staff was hired to be the full time replacement? i don't think that happens a lot.
lets think about it logically... if the jets suck next year it's likely because the offense is still terrible.. so why would OC get a promotion?
I didnt say full time replacement.

Cool, another passing game coordinator. Nice to see Saleh learning from past mistakes…Lol.
My take on this is that Saleh is intimidated by the potential of someone that may be able to easily replace him.
sh*t goes bad up until week 8 or 9, and Frank Reich is your OC? Maybe Woody steps in and blows sh*t up, hands the reigns over until end of season.

Oh man. I hope Matt Stafford is ready to spend time in Mike LaFleur’s sadistic tough-love torture chamber. McVay might want to put Dr Phil on retainer.
Who knew that 2022 would be the last season Matthew Stafford ever throws on 1st down again?
Wow.

Can’t do anything until march 15 I believe
They can put a deal in place literally tonight if they want. The only thing they cant do is finalize the paperwork with the NFL/NFLPA and officially announce it until 4:00PM on March 15th.
Basically it would be exactly what happened when KC agreed to trade Alex Smith to Washington. That happened before the Superbowl.

So if we agree before 2/15 his salary is locked in on our books for 2023 and 2024 but it doesn't become official until 3/15?
Also, the Feb. 15 deadline poses an issue. Theoretically, the Raiders and a team of Carr’s liking can agree in principle to a trade, but per NFL rules, no trade can be officially consummated until the new league year begins March 15.
So, while a deal can be made, there is always the possibility of the other team backing out before the new league year starts — and after the Feb. 15 deadline passes — and the Raiders being stuck with Carr and the $40.5 million roster guarantee.
One way to mitigate that concern is for the Raiders and Carr to renegotiate the roster deadline to March 16 so that the Raiders can release him should a team they worked out a trade with back out.
Yes. His salary would be locked in to our books on March 15th, or technically whenever the paperwork is actually filed, which would most likely happen that exact day.
As to the second part, nobody would be backing out of a deal that big. Especially if the Jets finally had a real QB in the bag.
