  1. The only thing I liked about Gase was how he scripted the plays inthe first drive. la Fleur should benefit from doing the same. To me the coaches and the players seem out of synch. Ulbrich coached a real clunker today. La Fleur wasn’t much better. I’ve read some snarky remarks from Jets fans about Mac Jones and his dink and dunk style. To me he looks so much more pro ready than Zach. As a Qb you can’t rely only on the wow plays. Zach is really bad at the bread and butter plays. The o-line deserve credit and played well today. Why Mims isn’t playing more is hard to understand. I had hoped to see Creative play calling from La Fleur but he stubbornly relies on his system instead of the skills of his players. His tight ends don’t seem to have the necessary talent, but still he keeps trotting them out there over and over again. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  2. A depleted Atlanta team outplayed us today. A disappointing loss with few bright spots. Quincy Williams perhaps? We continue to put ourselves in the whole in the first half time and time again. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  3. We simply need to pick up a number one receiver in next year’s draft, Davis is not the answer-, also with this weak Te group why not give Yeboda a chance. Also play Mims! Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  4. Out coached, out played, one step forward and two steps back. Every time there is optimism Jets fans are brought back to reality. The team looked confused, lifeless and unprepared. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  5. We can not wait to next year, by then Wilson might be seriously hurt. Something must be done now. Van Roten must be replaced even if we have to give up one of Joe D’s sacred draft picks. Obviously we won’t get a star but at least some one adequate. The same goes for the TE position. Don’t tell me that there is no one out there better than what we have. We are about to destroy another promising Qb. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  6. I saw no energy with this group today, no urgency at all- they played like they expected to be blown out. Actually I believe Zach Is the least of our problem. He has to run for his life for the most part, bad play calling and dropped passes do not help. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  7. If Mims is even worse than the sorry group of Jets-receivers we saw today in Denver, he must be truly bad. It was a disgusting display of dropped passes. Saleh will have to take responsibility for this mess. The play calling was atrocious and La Fleur seems to be in over his head. C. Davis is dropping passes left and right and is clearly not a number one receiver. Overall a shockingly bad performance over all. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  8. Think La Fleur is too wedded to his system. Find a role for Mims immediately, the kind is too talented to sit on the bench. Saleh, stop talking nonsense about Mims having to learn all three positions, use the special talents he has. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  9. This team just has to hit on all cylinders- against Carolina the online we’re horrible, against the Patriots our Qb stunk. Maybe in the Denver game it will all come together? Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  10. They would punch the ball in from the one yard line, if they used a back like Adams, big powerful guy, but for some reason he is always buried on the practice squad. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  11. We fans are speculating too much, but if Sims hasn’t an attitude problem Saleh should put that notion to rest. Maybe he is a one trick pony so what if he does that one thing better than most? Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  12. JD can’t be held responsible for injuries. I think this year’s draft looks promising. Like the 2 Carter guys and some of the later picks. Think though that Zach would have benefitted from a veteran Qb presence. AVT will be fine. Should have drafted more off. Linemen though. The depth is really worrisome. He totally ignored TEs, supposedly a QBs best friend Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  13. I feel that Saleh is covering for His buddy La Fleur in the Mims saga. You’re the head coach, at least give Denzel a chance. We definitely need a big presence on the outside. If he fails so be it, we’re not going anywhere anyway. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  14. We can’t judge JD properly until the players he drafted comes back from injuries. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  15. Would really help to bring in a competent tight end to help the kid out, also a tall target on the outside other than Davis, ( Mims, for whatever reason is obviously in the doghouse). Have worries about La Fleur, seems too wedded to his system, an inflexible OC is not what this team needs. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  16. Lots of things to be infuriated about but quite a bit to be pleased about also. Wilson was absolutely horrible, let’s hope he never plays another game like this again- and I don’t think he will. The defense played very well, the offensive line made real improvements, and the running backs were hitting the holes hard. Experts are always gushing over New England but today they were beatable if Wilson had been decent and the play calling better. Also I am sick of hearing that Mims must learn all three positions -he might be a one trick pony but he has the height, speed, and strength to be a match up problem for most teams. A creative coach should be able to find a role for him. And JD I beg you to find a competent TE, the ones we have scare nobody. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  17. I like almost everything J D has done. Yes, last year’s draft loos like a wash right now, but mainly because of injuries that Joe had no control over. Let’s face it if you hit on even three draft picks you have a good draft. B. Hall looks like a keeper, our punter looks very promising. I still believe in “ Big Ticket” if he can overcome his rash of injuries. Also think that the future is bright for Mims but it will take time. Didn’t like the Qb pick and Perine went to high. A. Davis? Clark? Who knows.. I don’t understand why he didn’t load up on O- linemen in this draft- our starters have question marks and the depth is more than worrisome . Another thing that baffles me is our weak Te group- don’t tell me that you can’t pick up better options than Griffin on somebody’s p- squad! Not getting Conklin was a mistake. Over all I think our Gm though has done a better than decent job. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  18. What is really going on with Aston Davis? There were talk earlier that he might play this coming Sunday. He showed up at practice a few weeks ago and now he is back on IR. The draft class that once looked promising has almost become invisible due to either injuries or ineptitude. There always seem to be issues with Becton after a very promising start. Maybe too much hype early on? Not his own doing but still concerning. Zuniga has been a colossal disappointment. Morgan was a wasted pick, Perine hasn’t shown much. Clark and A. Davis, due to long lasting injuries are huge question marks, Mims, a talented 2nd round pick, is for unknown reasons way down on the depth chart. Now our promising punter is out 5 to six weeks. Hall our 5th round cb, is still standing and playing well. Maybe it will all turn around, but for now not much to be happy about with that draft class. 19. Mims is talented. Make the system fit the players, not the other way around. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  20. Agree totally with Columbia Jet Fan, Wilson is the future and to see him manhandled because of horrible o-line play made me cringe. Something must be done and soon, with Becton out for an extended period of time the situation becomes even more dire. Joe has to do something, trades, draft picks or whatever it takes. 21. Mims not being used is hard to fathom especially with Crowder and Coles out. I had the same feeling about Josh Adams who, when used always produced -Not that it mattered in this game: Barry Sanders, as a fan rightfully observed, would not have made many yards behind our O- line. Adjustments were made in halftime, but should have been made earlier. Both lines were bad, d- line did not push Darnold at all in the first half and allowed Mc Caffrey to run wild. They improved in the second half but it was too late. Was impressed with Wilson though, despite some early miscues. He has star written all over him if only we could protect him. Wilson, Davis and Ammendola were impressive. The defensive backs held up better than expected. The team is work in progress and the lack of depth is worrisome. Play calling also, lacked creativity. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  22. No gas today. The o-line was man handled. The d-line was gashed by Mc Caffrey and put no pressure on Darnold. The Panther O- line was regarded as the weak link, still we only came up with one sack. One big mistake Davis made in the draft was not to add more offensive linemen. One of them ( a 4th rounder) is starting for the Steelers another ( 6th rounder?) is starting for KC. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  23. I find it hard to believe that after all roster cuts we couldn’t find better options at tight end than the uninspiring group we have right now. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  24. If you get four starters from a draft it can’t be categorized as a bad draft. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  25. The TEs are by far the weakest group, filled with older and injury prone players. JD must make a trade there perhaps involving Crowder. Equally worrisome is the OL position-the lack of depth there is scary. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
