  1. Since we are adding players- who are we cutting? Heard about Austin but no one else. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  2. To keep bad-mouthing Sam saying he is garbage and only worth a fifth rounder doesn’t do us any good. Coming out of college he was regarded as a superstar by many teams. He has been horribly mismanaged by the Jets, but is young and still with the right coaching a talented QB. Except for Lawrence none of the other Qbs are definite upgrades. JD is too smart to just give him away. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  3. I totally believe in JD. yes, he made several mistakes in free agency last year, letting Robbie go the most glaring, but he also didn’t sign any crazy contracts-don’t think he saw much value in the free agents of last year. Bechton was not a no brainer in the draft. High upside but a bit of a gamble. Waiting on Mims was also a gamble that paid off. Think Davis with seasoning will be good. The only draft pick I hated was the Qb in the fourth. Zuniga and Clark might still work out. Hard to tell since they lost most of the season to injuries.I think that JD will prove to be a better evaluator of talent than any other GM we have had before including Parcells. 4. A team must have some continuity. Maye should be kept. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  5. I am more and more in sticking with Sam and trading down. Lawrence would have been a no- brained the rest of the QBs, not so sure. Yes, Sam stunk last year but think it was more mental than any thing else. He has ability. GBs accepting every offer to trade down is enticing. The fact that JD looked at JuJu might mean that he is of the same mindset. My son is a huge Pittsburgh fan and a fan of Juju, telling me he is a tough receiver with excellent hand, a bit immature but not a selfish or bad guy. Someone said that Steeler player never play well for another team when traded or let go. What about Beachum and Mc Lendon? Neither of them stars but good players for us for many years. I believe Watson is a pipe dream and I hate to give up the number 2 pick. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  6. Lattimore for Sam- corner is a giant need for the Jets- outside of Bryce Hall we have nobody. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  7. I would only give up this year’s number 2 and sSeattle’s third round pick, next year’s 1 from Seattle plus Darnold. If some other team beats that, so be it. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  8. Am totally against giving up tons of draft picks for Watson- stay the course, draft Wilson or stay with Sam, no quick fixes! Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  9. Skip the Watson talk, Douglas will never do it. Much too expensive! He didn’t accumulate all these draft picks to hand them back for one player. We will either stick with Sam and trade down or go with Wilson at 2. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  10. I’d never give up both of our first round picks for Watson. Just the ones we got for Jamal, if that isn’t enough throw in Sam and possibly a second rounder 23’. Don’t mortgage the future. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  11. I would only trade the Seattle picks we got for Jamal anything else would hurt the franchise for years. We need more than Qb. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  12. Please, no Watson! Douglas will build a strong team with all the draft picks he accumulated, giving them all away for one man, no matter how good, doesn’t make sense. If he thinks Darnold can be fixed and thrive in a new system, trade down and acquire even more picks, if not ,Wilson looks like a great option. In that case trade Darnold for a second, forget about Watson, let another team mortgage their future. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  13. My only worry is that Sherman has lost too much speed; love his leadership though. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  14. Totally agree. Darnold and Gase after the last game of the season should say goodbye to this franchise. Darnold is a good guy and I hope he will do better with another team- him throwing picks at crucial times have broken my heart too many times, can’t stand to watch it anymore. Worried about Beckton who seems injury prone. We must add better depth everywhere. Have faith that Douglas will lead us out of this mess. Glad that this nightmare of a season is over. Get a good coach, pick Fields or Wilson in the draft, build a strong offensive line, add receivers, find a pass rusher and a starter at corner and hopefully we’ll stop being a laughingstock. 15. We can’t trade down unless we are sticking with Sam, not even one spot, Miami is right behind us and will be willing to listen to trade offers since they don’t need a QB. Only Lawrence, Fields andWilson will be top 4-5 picks, the rest are ? Marks. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  16. We need a QB. Trading down is to risky, Miami probably benefits the most. They are sitting at 3 and don’t need a QB. They will either take Sewell or listen to trade offers for either Fields or Wilson, if we want either of the 2 we have to stay put. There is an outside chance that Lawrence falls to us, strange things happen in the NFL. I think we will get at least a second for Darnold. Many teams remember his early promise. 17. He will do better with another team, after watching the game today I am leaning toward Zack Wilson in the draft. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  18. Isn’t Sewell a luxury pick since we have so many holes to patch up? Besides; Fant is playing decent. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  19. Lawrence is the only QB that we know for sure would be an upgrade over Sam,-so losing out on him , why not trade down and get a haul, patch our many holes and see where that takes us. Sam is only 23, has a lot of talent, see what better protection, a good coach and added weapons can take him. The next couple of games will tell a lot, if he totally stinks, let him go, but if he looks good, keep him and move on. We are always looking for new shiny toys, but who is to say that Fields or Wilson are upgrades? Fields has poor pocket presence and a rather slow delivery, Wilson is more exciting but has injury concerns and doesn’t look sturdy, most likely shorter than listed and isn’t built strong. I have faith that Joe Douglas will look at all options and make the right decision. He is the only one I trust in the Jets organization. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  20. I would love Ju-Ju with us, he plays either outside or in the slot - say goodbye to Crowder who is expensive, not young and a bit of an injury concern, then pick up a stud wr in the draft. Fans talk offense but corner is a also a desperate need and so is edge. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  21. What happens, (God forbid!) we miss out on Lawrence, -do we then take Fields or trade down and pick up a bunch of assets to surround Sam with? A better coach, O-line and targets to throw to might not be horrible option. Not sure I am sold on Fields. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  22. I have seen enough brilliant throws from Sam to believe that in the right surrounding and with a different coach he will succeed. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  23. If we miss out on Lawrence(Hope not!) we should stick with Sam and build around him. Not sold on Field and the rest. Without Gase, Sam might be resurrected. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  24. Just watching Justin Fields play against Indiana. Very unimpressed so far Two interceptions, missing a wide open receiver... I would not trade him for Sam. Lawrence is the only Qb that is an upgrade in my opinion, if he is gone I stay with Sam. Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
  25. Am very positive about JD. So he made a few mistakes, should have kept Robbie and perhaps invested in another wr. O- line doesn’t look great but hard to evaluate since due to injuries they never had a chance to play as a unit. Am super excited over Becton and Mims, Perrine also looks promising- can’t wait to see the rest of the rookies, Clark, Zuniga and perhaps most of all Hall, we do need help at corners. So far I really like JD’s approach. We stink this year but the future looks bright!! Sent from my iPad using JetNation.com mobile app
