Betty's 2020 Reasonable Expectations
Daddy Wang Doodle replied to BettyBoop's topic in NY Jets Forum
Correct. It's from Jackass. And yes, he's gotten rich off of it. His name is Steve-O and to use your term, this isn't even the most "mental" thing he's done -

Once Again, A Jets Wide Receiver Crisis

Apparently multiple sources are saying there is a big move coming for the Jets. Probably a wr -
Let's go after Justin Blackmon. He had a good couple games about 6 years ago

Surprised it wasn't DT. Already knows the offense and was 3x the receiver Hogan ever was

The Darnold training camp puff pieces

Ferguson's accolades: • 3x Pro Bowler • 160 consecutive starts • Never missed a game in his career Generally, I think this would be a no-brainer and a landslide, but I pose the question as I've seen numerous posters on this board, NFL talking heads, etc., mention how Becton could be a perennial all pro and hall of fame player at the end of day. Ferguson had a very good, not great career, but he solidified the left side of the line since the day he stepped onto the field. Absolutely nothing to scoff at. So, knowing what we currently know about how Becton's career will pan out (nothing), would you be willing to forgo a decade of above-average LT play and deal with any of the potential outcomes (bust, average, pro bowler, etc.), in order to see if Becton could fulfill his potential?

I reckon you'd be the feller I stated

I don't think he's an actual beat writer, but Robby Sabo seems to genuinely like the Jets while still maintaining objectivity in his discussions. He makes some pretty good videos on YouTube too. Mostly breaking down film and some podcast stuff. Recommend if you're looking for a voice other than the usual suspects (and let's be honest, you are).

I would be interested. Not that I have any, to quote the kids these days, "clout" on this forum, but it does sound fun to do. Like one of the posters above, I don't think I'd be the best to keep it sponsor-friendly either. I also suck, so there's always that small problem

Who is under more pressure-The QB or the QB guru?

Even with this all being true, Darnold is still better than Allen. -

Pretty good story about when Geno got rocked
Daddy Wang Doodle replied to GreenCow's topic in NY Jets Forum
ESPN must give their reporters a quota of embarrassing and humiliating Jets stories they need to meet. It's the only explanation for the constant piling on they do. A lot of it is brought on by the Jets of course, but come on. Who has even thought of this recently, let alone wanted to know everyone's insight on the matter? 🗑 -
Pretty cool. Any chance you could post Darnold's chart and if you're feeling chipper, maybe the top few?

So how is Darnold doing in camp?

2021 NFL Draft - Impact of No College Football
Daddy Wang Doodle replied to JetsLife's topic in NY Jets Forum
How do you conflate the two? I don't think there is much if any correlation between Mosley opting out and the Jets trading Adams. And let's not pretend like Adams wasn't acting like a spoiled brat by not getting a deal after his 3rd season - something unprecedented for just about any position, let alone a strong safety. Him being on the team to start the season would've been untenable after criticizing Woody and Gase. They did the correct thing when they traded him. Great player, but a pain in the ass malcontent. -
2021 NFL Draft - Impact of No College Football
Daddy Wang Doodle replied to JetsLife's topic in NY Jets Forum
Jets have great draft capital for 2021 and a global pandemic wreaks havoc to ensure the draft is even more of a crapshoot than normal. Couldn't make it up if you tried. The Jets Jet even when they go about things correctly. -
The benching was only for the rest of that game and the Buffalo game after. So just 1.5 games. I'm thinking it was simply using it as a learning moment. Regardless of the reason, I'm still excited to see what he can do, granted he's back in GW's good graces.

It was the Steelers at the end of the first half. He guessed wrong on a 2 minute drill int and they went right over him for a touchdown. He didn't start again the rest of the season. BUT, it could very well be a great learning lesson for him. He showed tons of potential once he got into the lineup. Man is his specialty, and he's a perfect fit for what Williams does on defense, so if that benching motivated him and humbled him a bit, he could be great.
