  1. Pittsburgh would be committing a felony if they didn’t at least acquire about Darnnit. Ben Worthlessberger is washed up and I think Sam could be serviceable in that short passing system. Now the deep stuff he will blow, fans will hate him but idk I lie the fit.

It’s understandable. I’m just saying we could of all dropped this long ago and let the thread live on for its actual purpose. That’s all. I get being a bit quick to respond back to people but at some point it’s just not even worth it. It’s just a board. Let’s go back to the real purpose of the thread and just let everyone find their spot here. Everyone can agree to disagree and move on. We’re all Jets fans here.

I can respect this but at the same time I was actually questioning one of the “source” people. He didn’t see it as me attacking or trolling but everyone else on the sidelines felt the need to tell me to _____ off.

But anyways god bless I’m not salty or angry and I appreciate your respectful outlook on things.

    cheers 🥂

All I’m trying to tell you is it’s not that serious.

OMG PEOPLE ON THE INTERNET ARE UPSET I DONT BELIEVE SOMETHING. I DESPERATELY NEED TO DEFEND MYSELF AUGHHFHW.

lol no way ppl are this thin skinned irl.

easy to type something so selfish when you don’t have 1 million people attacking you in your mentions because you don’t believe in the OP.

But whatever I’m the emotional one because God forbid I respond to anyone 🤷‍♂️

@Maxman confirmed his sources were legit yesterday and yet you continue to troll. At some point you need to move along.  If you don't like the content and think it's fake then ignore their posts and topics that they start.  It's not that hard of a ******* concept.

I’m sorry forgive me, i made a booboo by not submitting and asking questions because someone else “confirmed” someone else’s identity.

    Great I guess 🤷‍♂️

Just out of curiosity . . .  are you always this big a dick, or did someone take the raisins out of your oatmeal?

    Asking for a friend.

Nothing I did was being a “dick”

I simply asked questions and give my reasons why I think they’re full of _____

It’s no hard feelings on my side and nothing is wrong with asking questions and not believing in what everyone else does. 👍

God I hate the whole "haterz" narrative people try to shoe-horn into every aspect of life. Both of these guys have acknowledged that none of what the right is set in stone, anyway. It's not "hating" to be skeptical.

The way of life, hive mind gang mentality. The majority rules. God forbid you bring any counter arguments to the hive, they will attack like rabbit dogs 🤣

    **My sources tell me**

    1. They actually like everyone that they interviewed

    2. Joe Douglas isn’t favoring any coach that wants to keep Darnold because of his contract situation and poor play (Joe will never admit this to anyone because he has to give the impression he’s doing what’s best for the team and not what’s most beneficial to his future)

    3. This coaching search could linger out because the team announced they will be “casting a wide net”

    4. more surprising interviews will pop in the coming days

i cringe when i see draft analysts like mcshay and kiper refer to their draft grades for darnold coming out of USC.  how is that even remotely relevant now?  i get that they're analysts and that's their job.  but if their job were based on choosing one qb or another, i'd love to see these guys risk it all for the lowest ranked starting qb in the league last year.  i agree that darnold would see some improvement with a new regime and talent, but i think it would be only modest.

if the jets wind up hiring saleh and they bring in a WCO type of offense i can see them wanting wilson to run that.  he would be great in that offense.  he'd be everything the 49ers thought they were getting with jimmy G.

That’s nothing but sweet nothings to:

    1. justify their darnold scouting

    2. Not letting Sams market value sink into the abyss

    3. Click bait for Jet and OSU fans. Unfortunately the polarizing NYJ and Justin Fields are the targets of the media’s clickbait program.

Whether or not Joe Douglas thinks Fields is worthy of the #2 pick really doesn't matter, Fields balling out leaves that lasting impression on every team that needs a QB below us. While Sewell could be a HOF tackle, it's always the QB that stirs the drink, gets GMs anxious to make a deal (Jets in 2018), and leads to the ability to trade back for a haul of picks.

Watching the games yesterday the thing that jumped off the screen to me was watching offenses that that got players open & seemed to play so much faster than I've seen the Jets play in 10 years. The other thing was we don't have one offensive player that you say, wow, that guy is special! I was watching WRs & TEs snatch tough balls out of the air, toe drags along the sideline, catches made in traffic & holding on after getting creamed. It was so obvious our lack of talent (and excitement) on the most important aspect of football in this coming decade, getting in the endzone. Big Ben had 47 completions, lol! 47! I was thinking to myself that would be 3 games for Sam Darnold.

I want that #2 pick to be coveted. I have no idea what JD & our new coach will have planned but I'm not out of the trade down scenario when I look at all the mock drafts out there. This 1st round & top of the 2nd round has it ALL and has many players in positions of needs for this team. Inside Oline, WR, CB, Edge. If JD comes out of free agency with a trifecta of Robinson or Juju, Thuney, alone the possibilities are endless if he trades back for a haul. They could be in Kyle Pitts, Patrick Surtain area. And at #23 they are still in stud young WR area, or Wyatt Davis area, heading into the 2nd round with multiple picks starting with #34. Holy sh*t this draft is shaping up to be a game changer. I was watching the terrible CB play & was imaging the Jets not only filling their coffers with stud playmakers but having Aaron Glenn as their DC and he's coaching the recently acquired Marshon Lattimore & Patrick Surtain on the other side bringing back fond memories of Revis & Cromarty.

The exciting thing is that if Joe Douglas & this new coach get these things right, this ship could be turned around to respectability pretty damn quickly & the holes opponents find in 2021 can be closed completely in 2022 with 9 or more picks (depending on thectrade bacls), and another 2 first rounders. Anything is possible! Usually we look at unrealistic possibilities but pretty much all these scenarios are on the table & these mock drafts already give us an idea of how many amazing changes this team has the assets to make.

Most exciting time coming up after we hire a new Head Coach & head into free agency.

    * Last note after watching this weekends football. I want JD to go the young Juju over Robinson! Young is better & that kid is as tough as nails! Send Perriman packing. This kid is a team player, never gave up, blocks like Mofo, he's my #1 target at WR! Go get em JD!

    1. QB or bust at this point, you trade down pick a LT and anyone of those 1st round QBs become studs = welcome to the bbQ pit

    2. We got rid of our bad juju in Jamal, don’t need another me first tool in our locker room. Ironically a Allen Robinson type receiver would be ideal (older, talented vet who brings leadership)

The last thing the NYJ need is another tool bag, attention seeker imo

That ankle injury is no joke and it was on his plant leg which can possibly interfere with his throwing mechanics from now on

i don’t think he returns to football until 2022.  I wouldn’t go near him unless it was at a massive discount

I rather kick the tires with a Dak, that has a flat, than deal with another season of bottom 5 QB play, 3 seasons of that trash has been enough 🤷‍♂️
