  1. Well, we would be wondering IF he'd provide more than 3.1 catches and 46 yards per game. I'm another one of those "actually liked the guy, but don't think he'll be that missed" fans. Guess time will tell . . .
  2. Based on stats provided, the MAXIMUM dropoff would be 3.1 catches and 46 yards per game. Do you not think Perriman is even going to get on the field?
  3. Thank you sir. I will be the first to acknowledge you when Jennings lights it up in SF as Wilson doesn't make it to minicamp . . .
  4. And LOL that of the 5 you mention, 3 went completely undrafted and the other 2 went mid 7th. (Pretty sure that's what you call "factual information", right?!?) So technically if we picked ANY of the guys you mentioned we should be upset how we "wasted" a 6th on such horrible reaches. You can't make this stuff up . . .
  5. OK, so there's no one specific player you think we should have picked. Instead, you list a bunch, increasing your odds of being right. Cool trick dude! Sounds like you were about as convicted about a player as JD was! But hey, at least you knew how many draft picks we netted Thursday night (sort of). Baby steps!
  6. You got me -- he stinkz. Which is why we SHOULD have drafted ____________________ (Take your time, I have all night . . .)
  7. Of course you grade a draft with the hindsight of how everything played out, but what would you have said if I proposed this haul the night before the draft? 1) Becton (OT) 2) Mims (WR) 3a) Hall (CB) 3b) Zuniga (DE) 4) Davis (S) 5) Clark (OT) 6a) Perine (RB) 6b) Morgan (QB) I'm no draft expert, but from what I read on here for months I think most would take it in a heartbeat (with a caveat for only having one WR). So the fact that we got those guys PLUS a potential game-changing punter shows it was a quality draft, just took a MUCH different route to get there than expected . . .
  8. The sad thing is I was actually hoping he (or anyone else) would offer up a prospect to watch. I have no problem saying the trade may have been the wrong decision, but it's kind of hard to do without having a bar to compare it to . . .
  9. Was going to look up the definition of deflecting to make sure I understood it correctly, but pretty sure what you're doing here is textbook so thanks for saving me the time. And the fact that you say it's "a proven undeniable statistical fact that the guy has sucked since he came into the league" is proof that YOU'RE the one not bothering to do any research, but hey who's counting. Can't wait to see what moronic argument you start tomorrow . . .
  10. I get what you're saying, and agree I'd love more quality WRs on this team. But IMO none of them were going to turn us into the Chiefs, and I still think the strength of the 2020 team will be defense. So I'll take the guy who consistently flips the field over the one who may put up good numbers for a rookie, but not have near the overall impact. For me the better argument is I didn't think our current punter was that bad, but I guess the FO felt differently . . .
  11. Again you may be right. But based on recent history, this team would benefit WAY more from a pro-bowl punter than a day 2 WR (by your assessment) . . .
  12. If you think having Quez Watkins on this team would be more beneficial than a universally acknowledged elite punter, we'll agree to disagree. And of course you're right -- time will tell if we missed any gems, but in each case 31 other teams missed them as well . . .
  13. So you don't have a better option? Who's deflecting now? Your question was whether I preferred an unknown draft pick over an underachieving current player. My answer was the 2nd option because I believe in the CS ability to maximize his potential. Two moronic debates over the past two days -- one common denominator. Coincidence?????
  14. First one that came to my mind, that's for sure . . .
  15. I openly admit I don't know enough about college players to say who would have been a better choice than the player we traded for. So why don't you tell me who our BEST option out there would have been, and I'll track both players to see who was right . . .
  16. It might be simplistic, but we really should look at guys like Perriman and Doctson like late-round picks -- aware that odds are likely against them, but hoping we catch lightning in a bottle . . .
  17. It is strange that this is the 2nd "deep" WR draft that we didn't/couldn't take advantage of. Idzik tried, but failed horribly with his choices. Douglas felt other needs were better met. Let's just hope his instincts are better than his predecessors . . .
  18. I'm sorry: I hereby officially swear that I support obtaining a commodity that fits well with our current DC's approach over taking a flier on a player our FO apparently doesn't have much conviction to obtain. I make this decision being of sound mind and fully aware of the consequences that await me if said decision proves to be incorrect. Better?
  19. Maybe we should go check how many 6th rounders make it to a 4th year in the league? Or how many 4th year players with ability turn things around with different/better coaching? I have too much faith in GW to bash a decision before we see what he can do with it . . .
  20. Do you feel his 2017-2018 stats were worth giving up a 6th? Or are you just basing it on last year when he was in a poor system fit?
  21. It's amazing how most here apparently think Douglas made this decision in a vacuum. If GW wants the kid, I'll gladly give up a 6th to accommodate him . . .
  22. And yet we're upset over losing that "garbage 6th", amirite? Just want to make sure how mad I'm supposed to be . . .
  23. You mean the trade down that landed us the same player we were going to get anyway? The one that made 125, 129 and next year's 6th completely free? Or the one at 101 where you have no idea who they would have taken anyway? Thanks in advance for the clarification.
