    So you would be just as comfortable with a thread titled "Zack Wilson played a better game against Buffalo than Patrick Mahomes"? 'Cuz he did (statistically) but something tells me you'd be laughed off the board (kinda like what's happening now) . . .

    I think beating the Lions will be more difficult than beating the Seahawks . . .

    If we're really using the same paint brush, then let's acknowledge the only INTs White has thrown in his 3 starts this year were flukes (tipped ball, desperation throw) while Wilson has hit multiple defenders in the numbers who just didn't catch the ball. If you feel more confident when Zack releases the ball than when White does, I guess we're not watching the same games . . .

    Is he worse than Sanchez? If we make it to the playoffs with our "real" team next year, you don't think White can win games the way Sanchez did? In fact, couldn't he be our version of the Ravens' Flacco? I wouldn't expect him to put the team on his back, but I think he could do better than a guy like Tannehill has . . .

    as long as people want to argue he belongs behind center? You better believe it. Benching Bam for Carter wouldn't make any sense at all, yet somehow it would still make A LOT more sense than benching White for Wilson . . .

    Yeah, fans can really be stupid, huh? Just like the coaches, who demoted him to 3rd string. Just like the teammates, who wore t-shirts to celebrate his demotion. Just like anyone who knows anything about football, who realize the team carried Zack, not the other way around. Yup, sure are some idiots out there . . .

    Good point. Let's agree that Zack was better against the Bills . . . . . . . but since we don't play Buffalo again this year there's no reason to even consider putting the kid in. Problem solved!

    Nothing personal, but I've taken it as my personal mission to refute ANY attempts to compare what White has brought to this team with what Wilson did(n't) . . .

    The nightmare would be if they DID put him back in while still in playoff contention . . .

    I never played organized football, so I won't pretend to know what goes into it from a preparation standpoint, but I have to wonder if an off-season/training camp as the starter wouldn't do wonders for his timing/chemistry/overall grasp of the offense . . .

    It would be MUCH harder to justify choosing Zack Wilson over a healthy Mike White (unless/until we're out of the playoff picture). If White is hurt and the option is Wilson vs. Flacco? I have to assume we go Wilson, but even that I'm not 100% sure of . . .

    Fair criticism? When did Zack play in conditions like these? And on the flip side, how often was he missing open receivers without a hint of wind anywhere?

    The sad thing is this isn't even a sarcastic comment. The fact that Zack COULD run does not in any way imply he WOULD run (in the correct direction) White's "worst" game isn't looking any different than Zack's average one. The only difference is White has a better chance of turning things around . . .

    So you really think they'd put Zack in a game with playoff implications? That there's a universe where they think Zack gives them the better chance to win RIGHT NOW? If that happens I will acknowledge your superiority as a knowledgeable Jets fan (right before I start a "Fire Everyone" thread) . . .
