Incentivizing Minority Hiring through Draft Position
FiremanEd52 replied to FiremanEd52's topic in NY Jets Forum
The league should penalize teams for hiring terrible white coaches like Mike Mularkey and Adam Gase. -

NFL owners predominately geriatric white billionaires. They have proven to be among the most out of touch people on the planet. -
I think it’s a great idea. 70 percent of the players in the league are African American. It’s an absolute joke that there are so few head coaches and GMs. What’s more infuriating is that guys like Adam Gase immediately get a second chance.

It’s a numbers game. The Jets aren’t going to carry 6 LBs Mosley, Williamson, Hewitt, Onawasu, Burgess, and Cashman are under contact. Logic dictates that its either Williamson or Cashman are the odd men out given the fact that Douglas handed out contracts to the other three. As for Edoga I think hes 100 percent on the roster this year. Consdider how many years the Jets carried Brett Qvale on the active roster.

Giants CB DeAndre Baker Surrenders To Police
FiremanEd52 replied to NYJets8's topic in NY Jets Forum
Now it looks like Baker and Dunbar are getting off because the witnesses are changing their story. Is it me or does this all sound like something out of the wire? -
The Santonio catch against the Pats in the playoffs is up there.

He certainly got dealt a tough hand, but that’s life in the NFL-just look at Josh Rosen.

Joe Beningo discussing Jets football over the years
FiremanEd52 replied to Philc1's topic in NY Jets Forum
From 1997-2010 the Jets made the playoffs 8/13 years. The recent dry spell was caused by repeated poor decisions from ownership: #1-Woody firing Tanny and Keeping Rex forced him to have to settle for an unqualified GM candidate in John Idzik. Should have kept both in place or fired both. This is the one decision that really screwed things up for years. Idzik left this roster completely baron and as a result the Jets were not an attractive place for the top GM candidates and once again had to settle for a less than stellar candidate in McCagnan. I also feel like the only time the Jets had any stability since 2011 was 2015-16. Rex was pretty much a lame duck from the moment Idzik arrived, Bowles was a lame duck once McCagnan sold ownership on stripping the roster down after the 2016 season, and Gase has been a lame duck since he arrived. -
I hated the Geno Smith era of Jets football. Jeff Cumberland, Clyde Gates, David Nelson, Greg Salas, Stephen Hill, the corpse of Santonio Holmes....

The circus is back in NY and it's not the Jets

Isn’t Joe Judge a no-nonsense guy? I wonder if Gettleman allows him to be cut. -
Tua literally played on an NFL team. His top 4 WRs from this year are all projected first round picks.
