  1. JJ fell (and perhaps would have not even went in the first round without JD). Ask yourself why? Karlaftis went where he should have.
  2. Glad you agree. I do think Sauce will be good and we’ll be happy to have him, but at #4 overall I just think we could have gotten a player that wrecks games on a play by play basis. It’s really tough for CB’s to do that now.
  3. Karlaftis was supposed to go (based on odds betting) between 19-25. I guess I don’t see it as falling when he pretty much went where he was supposed to. Jermaine was supposed to be top 10. That in my opinion is a fall.
  4. In another thread, Untouchable challenged people to come up with a better 1sr round draft class for the Jets, with the benefit of hindsight and knowing who went where. I’ll accept the challenge (and I look forward to seeing your ideas too). If I was Douglas my choices would have been: Round 1, Pick 4: Kayvon Thibodeaux Reason: Sauce will be good and i’m happy to see him in green, but the league has evolved and the way to stop the pass now is to pressure the QB. Not lock up a single WR (which is nearly impossible now due to rules favoring offense). Thibodeaux will be a star pass rusher in this league for a decade. Unfortunately he went to the Giants Round 1, Pick 10: Garret Wilson Reason: I think JD got this one right for sure. Welcome to NY. Round 1, Pick 26: George Karlaftis Reason: Jermaine didn’t drop on accident. Teams know something and some passed on him several times. There is a chance he falls completely out of the first round if JD doesn’t take him at 26. I don’t like catching a falling knife. In my opinion the Chiefs stole Karlaftis. He is just as big as Jermaine and has a non-stop motor. This is one of those guys you see still fighting several seconds after the whistle and fans begin to love him. KC got a good one. The combo of Thib’s and Karlaftis would have been something offenses across the league (and especially in our division) would have had to gameplan for, for a long long time.
  5. Since you made the challenge, i’ll accept the challenge. 6. I personally think we are still a QB away. If i’m wrong, that would be fantastic. If i’m right, then at least we have a pretty solid team built up for the next QB to step into and immediately flourish. Brighter days are ahead.
  7. This is my favorite pick and the one i’m most excited about.
  8. For having a difference of opinion. WTF? It’s your board and your rules, but wow…
  9. Fair enough. Ill take a break from the forum tonight. Good night everyone. Dont bother asking me to stay.
  10. alright, whatever guys you go ahead and have your fun time pounding your chest over a guy who fell 20 picks bexause teams didn’t want him, a tiny WR, and a freaking cb lets ignore the most important position - QB. whatever
  11. How is it not reasonable? You want to put all the eggs in the basket of a kid who is literally front row at a Justin Bieber concert? You don’t want any backup option?
  12. Why not? Willis has the arm, the legs, the size. Everything.
  13. Show the stats. Show us how more than 50% of picks are in the league within 5 years. (you can’t)
  14. It’s time to move back up and get Malik Willis. Zach Wilson is not it. He just isn’t. (or even if you think he is) Why not spend a pick on a guy with crazy attributes like Willis? If the coaching staff can coach him up, he could be a superstar. Go up and get Josh Allen 2.0
  15. Is it just me or did Kyler Gordon look pissed that the Bears selected him?
  16. I was just talking about Sam. Excitement does nothing for me. Give me wins.
  17. Same. Love the Hall pick. Much better than day 1 imo.
  18. That’s where I differ from many of you. Those predraft rankings mean nothing to me. The draft is such a crapshoot that even the best GM’s are wrong a lot of the time. So many people though Jermaine would be top 10 yet 25 teams/picks passed on him.
  19. We still need: - Line depth (preferably versatile players that can play multiple positions) - A safety - Linebacker
  20. Hahahahahhah. I do like this pick. More than day 1.
  21. We’re you on this forum in 2018 when Sam was drafted? I was, but I hadn’t signed up yet. Just read. It was mayhem. People talking about Super Bowls. How did that turn out? Im jaded.
  22. It’s not trolling to have a differing opinion. And i’m not always negative.
