  1. Too early to tell. One thing going for him though, and I think it's very important, especially for a young team like the Jets is that players seem to like him and trust him.
  2. Jets have too many holes to spend $20M on a WR who's past his prime. Yes, Jets need another good WR as well as one or two TEs. But let's not forget Jets finished dead last in defense last year. Both points and yards allowed! We will have to see but I think JD will spend money on defensive FAs and draft a WR and TEs.
  3. He's spot on. I doubt Berrios would have the kind of production he had if he was on another team. It was kind of perfect storm for him. The Jets didn't have the top talents in WR corps to begin with and most of them were injured throughout the season. Plus no TE's. If the Jets draft a WR with their 10th pick and a TE with 2nd or 3rd round picks like many posters here hope to, Berrios would be a 4th or 5th option for sure. $9M is way too much for the such a role even if he is a exceptional returner. I doubt Joe D would go any more than $7.5M
  4. QB's performance is critical to win games but it's still a team sports. One other area that I think is more important to win games is 'team defense' Since some of the posters were debating who is a better QB between Brady and Rodgers, here are their team defense stats. Just a food for thoughts. Brady: His team defense ranked in top 10, 18 out of 21 years. The years his team won SB, team defense were ranked 6, 1, 2, 8, 1, 7, 8. In average, his team defense ranked 7th in all years, and 5th in years his team won SB. Rodgers: His team defense ranked in top 10, 3 out of 14 years. 2011, the year his team won SB, team defense was ranked 2nd. Overall his team defense ranked 15th in 14 years. quite average. To me it's apples and oranges when you try to compare the two. There are so many other criteria that goes into winning games whether its regular season games or playoff games. Yes, Brady has the most number of rings among QBs but is he the GOAT? I personally don't think so as he always had good teams backing him up. Plus, he had Belichicken all these years who knows how to coach as much as I hate him. GOAT, no. LOAT, yes.
  5. Jets fans are angry... Jets fans are booing... Jets fans look stunned... Hopefully no more of these comments...
  6. Obviously it's just one game and we will have to see how things turn out rest of the year. But I thought White played really well today. The numbers speak for it self. 37/45 (82%) for 405 yards and two picks aren't entirely on him. Overall, I thought he was calm and poised even under the pressure and had agreat pocket awareness. Do I want him to replace Zach? Of course not. Zach is just a rookie with only five games under his belt. He is a very talented kid and his best days are still far away. But it feels good to know that we have a backup QB who showed a lot of promises today. And once again, I thought Mike Lafleur's play calling today has a lot to do with us getting a W. He mixed it up well run/pass, and with some gimmick plays.
  7. LOL... At least, Joe Flacco may never see another snap with the Jets. Where have you've been LaFleur??? Great play calling today. Stay in the booth from now.
  8. I've been a Jets fan since '77 so I know enough about disappointments and pains. Maybe I'm set for another blow but I'm cautiously optimistic where the team is headed.
  9. Well, guess what??? I only have one post and seriously thought about yelling at some of you. So what? I enjoy discovering good information about my beloved team, and quite frankly learn a lot from opinions of many knowledgeable posters here. Obviously we all want Jets to play well; but we also knew this year will be a difficult year with many growing pains. Let's give the team some time to gel. If they still play like last week in Nov/Dec timeframe, yeah I'll gladly join you yelling at the players, JD and coaching staffs.
  10. In the United States and other developed countries, yes. Average GDP per capita for the entire world is less than $15k unfortunately.
  11. I think I know where you're coming from. The message has to be consistent to the entire team. However, how effectively it gets communicated to each member can be entirely different. That's what good leaders do,
