I love the big plays don't get me wrong but passing up wide open receivers to throw into double coverage in hopes your guy comes down with it or gets a PI is a bad play IMO. Glad it worked out, just ill advised.

what play are you talking about? The Davis Td? He was open, in fact he re routed him to get open. You are literally re inventing things in your head brother. I saw how giddy you were on YouTube after the Tennessee game, never seen you happier. Now they were bad decisions? You’d rather him check it down there? lol. None of those plays were bad decisions, they were amazing plays. Criticizing them is just self loathing.

So we have finally reached the point that if you think Zach Wilson is a bad QB you are either a racist or a SJW.🤣  I'm pretty sure only anti-vaxxers hate ZW.😂

Actually it’s the opposite. The woke mafia that thought Justin Fields dropped because he is black hates the Mormon “maga” QB

Mac Jones leads the league in games with a 65%+ completion percentage, with Brady in 2nd place.

Regardless of circumstance, that’s impressive for a rookie

Chad Pennington was the all time leader in completion percentage.

If griffin doesn’t drop that TD pass Sunday Wilson ends up with a 63% completion percentage… you think he looked accurate?

Probably the most meaningless stat of them all.

Definitely haven't forgotten the positives, but overall I don't think any of us would sign up for Zach's start to his career.

His Titans game was really fun to watch but he made reckless decisions at times that just so happened to work out. He also had 2 separate opportunities to ice the game and he was wildly inaccurate.

It's basically what I'd expect from a rookie QB except his inability to complete the easy passes. Seems like he's just in his own head more than anything cause he didn't have accuracy issues at BYU.

What decision was reckless? Those were HOF all time plays he made. Maybe they are reckless for Mike White, but they are the exact reason he was drafted #2 overall. He missed one easy pass to griffin, ONE.

The point is, I don't  even think Wilson saw the guy coming from the left. Why would he move to left if there is an unblocked pass rusher coming from that side

Serious question, have you watched the video? The rush doesn’t come from the left, it comes from the gap. Wilson moves AWAY from the pressure by going left. He expects ty Johnson to block the DL coming from the inside. Spinning right there makes no sense as you would be moving away from your blocker (the RB). Ty Johnson can’t block, which is ultimately why the play was blown up.

You are right. If Fant does a competent job, Zach isn't required to try to avoid pressure. But he still does a poor job of it.

He also has a RB who he expects will chip the DL. Every QB in the NFL gets sacked, and even the goats get sacked often for much less. Expecting Wilson to consistently get out of this type of cluster**** is not rational.

Looking at that play, he should have given it to the End Around when he saw Fant whiff, Or Ty should have actually blocked the End when he ran into him instead of just... not doing anything. Either of those would have been better.  And yes, you do go where they came from, because now no one is there.

Looking at the play, our offense got abused on several levels and 9/10 times that is a sack no matter who the QB is.

This is a prime example of poor pocket awareness. Yes, Fant totally wiffed on his guy but the rusher went straight into the scrum that formed in front of Wilson and Wilson drifted to the left side which allowed the the rusher to to bounce out and sack him. If you have a free rusher coming, why would you move to the side he is coming from? Had Wilson gone to the right, the pass rusher probably  never gets there.

Im sorry what on earth are you saying? He has a freaking running back there to block, who completely wiffs. The LT wiffs as well. Literally nothing Wilson could have done on that play other than maybe throw it while Moore was on the ground

He held it too long, Moore was open and even if he didnt get back up in time, he throws it away instead of taking a sack.  He also didnt even look at the wide-open receiver in the middle of the endzone because he stared Moore down and held the ball too long.    This was shared on a video that you ******* complimented.   lmfao   You're so all over the place defending any little criticism of Wilson, you dont even remember the sh*t you've said here.  lmfao

Nicco - you're terrible at this and have zero credibility.  Dont step to me.

You are clueless, did you even watch the video? Play was dead half a second half we the snap

This ******* guy, what play did hold the ball too long and then literally references a play, where held the ball too long.

lol the Moore TD where there was a free rusher and the WR slipped? Lmao yes I guess if Wilson pre determined the throw and threw it recklessly it might have been a TD. “He’s playing hero ball looking for the big play! Holding it too long!” - referencing play that was dead 0.5 seconds after the snap. That play was on Moore for running a sh*t route/slipping and ty Johnson for completely Whiffing on this block

  11. Is that the attitude you’re going to watch the game with?

I’m telling you right now it’s not healthy.

Half the NFL threw for less than 200 on Sunday.

Those of you demanding 250 and 2 TDs, you realize that equals 4300 yards and 32 TDs in a season right? Is that what you expect from your rookie?

I am not saying Wilson had a good game, not by any stretch. It doesn’t change his accuracy issues which are real. I just find it funny how small the difference can be between good and bad in the NFL. Breaks/bounces in this game are real

    1) that shovel pass doesn’t get picked (a 1 in 10,000 unlucky play)

    2) griffin catches the TD pass (on a great throw)

wilsons passer rating for the game goes from a 58 to a 95

And if, Berrios is able to take that slant to the house? His passer rating is 114

all I am saying is, the margin between a good and a bad game is razor thin in the NFL. The bounce of a ball can change the perception of something entirely even though nothing really changes

    Give it time

In some parallel universe professional athletes have their own messageboards where they defend fans. "I know Nico whiffed on Darnold, but the kid is due and we're stuck with him anyway so no reason to nitpick apart his takes."

I didn’t whiff on Darnold. I was correct to not give up on him until I did. Just because you were “right” in the end doesn’t mean your process to get there was.

He's looked bad so far. I'm alright giving him 3 years (barring a Cam/Kyler situation) and continuing to build the team around him.

Worst case scenario the team is loaded and we can move a boat load of picks for a QB via draft or trade and start again.

Did you forget about the second half of the panthers game? The Titans game? The start of the second NE game? The 13/19 stretch last week? Yes, he’s had a lot of bad, and he’s struggling with some bizarre accuracy issue right now, but, there has been some good. The way group think brain washes people this day and age is incredible.

When the word elite talent gets thrown around, I usually don't know what they're talking about.  Every starter has elite talent in the NFL.

There are however a few athletic freaks of nature.  Lamar Jackson, Aaron Rogers, Pat Mahomes and ... Josh Allen (and probably Stafford, Herbert and T Lawrence).

They're in a completely different class than ZW, who is a 'good' athlete, but nothing like that.

Josh Allen was raw in his first year (maybe a little less than Zac, but still raw).  However the athletic talent is so good that you could see that you could sit and wait on it.  And indeed, it was good enough to win some games for them.

Sorry, but Zacs rollouts are good enough to not get himself killed, but other than two hero balls (which were more on the WR than him) its not going to be winning that many games for us.  So you better hope that the QB aspect develops for him.

Wrong on a thousand levels. “Hero balls”? “More on the wr”? Lol

I think Bowles could orchestrate the best defensive game plan, able to adapt to the situation.  Rex would be mired in "46" mode.

Sanchez would throw less INTs than Darnold and complete vital short throws which, at least currently, are beyond Zack Wilson's ability.

Sanchez had horrible short accuracy and was more turnover prone than Sam
