    they're going to ruin Wilson.

they want him to dip and dunk like Mike White and that's not who he is.

that's why he looked so lost today. every week he was looking better and then White has this great game with throwing mostly checkdowns and now there forcing Wilson to do it and that's not his game.

correct me if im wrong but was this the first game i seen of Zach that he didn't even throw it downfield? and according to the announcers he was having some guys open downfield.

    thats not Zach.

they got to let him play his game.

I think there is some truth to this post.

Mac Jones' top 2 targets are Jakobi Meyers and Kendrick Bourne. Both entered the league as... UDFAs.

    All about them weapons, baby.

He also has the best OL in football, Check out this TD at 1:35 all Mac Jones baby.

I make great efforts to be objective. Objectively, no matter who has been playing with Wilson, he has stunk in the first quarter. There are no ifs, ands or buts about it.

Correlation does not equal causation. I can play that game too. Jets scored 21 yesterday vs 17 the last two weeks. The Jets point differential is also infinitely better with Wilson then without. We turn the ball over at a much lower rate with Wilson than with white.

The kid needs to settle down. His first quarter numbers are disastrous. If you average out the 18 quarters of football he has played outside of the first quarter and extrapolate it into a 4 quarter performance it's 23 for 38 (60%) for 262.4 yards. And that is with him playing poorly as many have observed. He just needs to eliminate his first quarter issues and settle in earlier.

Putting the first Q issues on Wilson is a total oversimplification. Take yesterday for example, Moore slips and protection breaks down on 3rd down forcing a FG vs TDs. OL issues and drops were rampant seems 1-5. Don’t forget that

A legit franchise QB hits him in stride, as open as he was.  It was not an accurate pass.

Sure legit franchise QBs always score their TDs in perfect stride 100% of the time. Also that pass from Wilson was, in stride, griffin needs to make that catch 10/10 times it was routine

We scored more because the running game did just about everything. I saw you in the game thread gushing on one of our TD drives on how great Zach played and he threw one single dump off pass the entire drive. Yes the Running game helps the QB but in this case the running game helped itself . At no point at all did Zach Wilson take advantage of the way we ran the ball yesterday his yards per pass was 6 even with a great running game he threw for 145 yards because the coaches were terrified at him throwing the ball even in the end the Jets didn't trust him to throw the ball playing for field goals.

You wanted to play for a TD on 3rd and 20? When your run game is working and your defense is playing well why would you pass against a defense that came with with 10 turnovers over the last two weeks?

It seemed more like mechanics yesterday than reading the game (in past games, its seemed both). He actually seemed to be going through progressions and moving to check down with time to be effective yesterday, but when he got there his execution of the throw was poor.

I think he comes out too hyped up and loses his physical discipline early in games and then goes realizing the adjustment he needs to make and probably gets it pointed out to him by the coaches which is why we see him better in 2Hs.

He does a strange thing where he straightens his front leg.

There were plays that obviously were not Wilsons fault, a few to Davis stand out no doubt about that but his accuracy has been Horrible on top of the drops and the tipped balls. Mike White threw 3 passes that were right in the hands of a RB and a WR that were dropped and tipped into defenders hands yet I see no mention of that from you at all. Its nice to have faith and optimism in a young QB but I can count on one hand the big plays this kid made so far but I don't have enough hands and feet to count how dreadful he's been over all. With Wilson in the game this team averages around 250 total yards a games without him they average over 400 and over the first few weeks he was not in the lineup the Jets actually led the NFL in yards over a 3 week span.

Because Mike White threw 8 picks in 3 games and had 5 other horrible interceptions dropped by defenders.

The Jets scored 17 points the last two weeks, 21 yesterday. Your yardage will not be as high when you’re playing with a lead and the run game is working.

Because I know what I see and really don’t care if you don’t see the same thing? Kids processing the game slower now than he did earlier in the year. I don’t need to debate specific plays so you can validate yourself as the official defender of Zach Wilson. It was the same thing with Sam. Your schtick is getting old.

If you can’t back up your opinions then they are just hot air. I’ve done nothing but explain my thought process yet get sh*t on for it. This place is sad.

As we saw with Hackenburg, the future is not good for young NFL QBs who can’t throw accurate short passes.   It’s a different skill than throwing it downfield to open receivers with plenty of time to throw in college.

This is why guys like Pennington, Mac Jones and even Mike White can look decently in the NFL, and Hackenburg and others fail.   People gave Hackenburg second chances after the Jets, and he still could not get it.  It does not matter how nice and hardworking ZW is, he needs to be able to do this.

But having the ability to throw it down field  to someone like Elijah Moore is helpful, and the threat of that opens up the running game.  So even though ZWs stats were not great, he was important to winning this game.   I would not play him this week unless completely healthy though.

You never saw hackenberg play. Wilson was not missing these short passes in the pre season or really until the 4th Q of the Titans game.

I thought Quinnen had a nice enough game, but it seemed like those guys called his name when other guys were making plays.  I know on one of the late runs Fatukasi blew up the line and made the play and they called Quinnen's name through 3 or 4 replays.

    Stop it
