  1. with all the talk about Alex Smith to 49ers at #1 - I tend to agree with Scott Wright in his latest blog (nfldraftcountdown) - the niners are playing games - rodgers is their man... it's not like them to take the expensive option - the Bucs wanted #2 (MIA) to take Smith - because the 49ers have "settled" now the Bucs would have to trade up to 1 to get him... if that fails, they can always negotiate with a rodgers at even cheaper, with the threat of him losing more money by sliding down the board. it's a win-win for them to say they want Alex Smith. the Dolphins still need a trade down and could be hocking that slot for Braylon Edwards... to the Vikings? Eagles? Ravens? who knows... Braylon is the hot property and someone could make a move... Just a feeling it's an outside chance the draft could have a couple really big trades before we are even through 2 picks... the niners and fins can take their consensus picks (rodgers and brown) later and cheaper... or they can look at another position - these teams need all sorts of players. thoughts?

  3. for my money i'd take a healthy LAW for 1 or 2 years over Dyson people have been sweating this guy all over JETS sites but he's not a HUGE upgrade from Donnie Abes and Ray Mickens of the world... that lis franc is a nasty injury but the JETS might want get a chance at an all-pro guy who knows the division... besides if Elliot Guantanamera Perlman is on the case, Law will pass his physical with flying colors!!

  5. JMO when i watched Louisville, McCune would make more than his share of plays - so that's not a problem - my problem is when you look at this guy who is 4.5, built like a brick sh*thouse he should have been DOMINANT with that set of measurables - even at the senior bowl (where the South had the better DL by far) he didn't flash - great measurables but i wouldn't bet on them translating again JMO and i have been wrong before!! as for Kemoeteu at DT that's a very intriguing idea, especially in light of his temperment - it could work...

  7. if there ever was a player that fit the statement "looks like tarzan plays like jane" it's robert mccune - don't get me wrong he's a very good player in College but at the next level he won't play half as well as his measurables project him.

  11. the thing about Munoz that is interesting is that his pops was also an injury ridden prospect - less injuries and a better prospect but the point is he had serious procedures and went on to HOF career... Munoz is a good fit at RT or maybe guard - he won't be the sick LT his pops was but he's not chopped liver either - knows all the tricks in the book and his pedigree is excellent. JMO his name will be called before the first day is up
  12. JMO Bradway has gotten better as the years have gone on -hopefully his draft is more like 2004 than 2002! If they take F Washington or J Miller that will be an acceptable outcome for me
  13. yo does this mean the deadline has been extended again
  14. oh man this is great - love the stash - might have to actually buy one of these bad boys http://www.ronmexico.com/RonMexico/ ron mexico the legend grows
  15. the key to getting a vulgar custom NFL jersey is to make up your own curses! be a trend-setter!!! for example "dirty slore", "poopants" "weenis patrol" - if you want to be a traditionalist there is always "fargin icehole" - think out side the box people!!!
  16. mark my words, Jones will start and will be fine.
  17. al i think if two guys our size were placed next to each other on tightly packed folding chairs it would have consituted a state fire violation FYI the morning of graduation Tommy R, Gilly and Lee showed up at my spot at 7am for "pregame" - i said go away you bastards but Tommy jumped into bed with me and my girl - needless to say I got up for pregame and later burned the bedsheets. another FYI "Pregame" consisted of warm shots of rum along with a brown nug that looked like Gilly had been saving since middle school. ah good times
  18. any1 else think she hacked her own sidekick as a publicity stunt?
  19. here's the question: assuming he gets drafted will the NFL suspend him right off the bat? welcome to the league you are in the SA program? juice, when administered improperly, can ruin joints long term that being said it's a well hidden fact of NFL regardless of one's personal views on ROIDS it definately hurts his stock for PR reasons. in this horrible DT crop he becomes the value pick he would have been in years past.
  20. the real kick in the ass - it was like a 150 dollar book i got 40 for it - just enough for 1 bag.
  21. hey does that work? ok here goes with some of mine: 1) I love deep house music, disco, funk and soul. Have two turntables a CDDJ and over 800 pieces of new and classic vinyl - I have Deejayed professionally. One time on a dare I scratched in Johnny Cash into another DJ's country music set. The crowd was not too pleased. One time i mixed the theme song from the Price is Right into a House set. The crowd was not too pleased. Note that Im not saying disco like Saturday Night Fever Soundtrack (although i do own it ) - more along the lines of Salsoul, West End, Philadelphia International and Motown - the underground stuff that no one ever really heard when it was new and no one really hears now. Most of my sets are deep soulful house these days. this is a site i frequent alot - im like the only white dude there. http://www.deephousepage.com 2) if Starship Troopers comes on the TV i have to watch it - the acting is horrible, the writing is terrible but i still love it to death - it's a guilty pleasure 3) one time I stole my roomates Biology book and sold it back to the school bookstore (at a horribly reduced price) to buy a bag of kind buds... during finals week. He had a habit of leaving school, not packing and not coming back (it took him 7 years to graduate) thought he pulled that stunt again when really he just went home for the weekend. oops. 4)when i was 6 years old i snuck downstairs on xmas morning at 5am and opened everyone's gifts - not just the ones that had mine on it - EVERYONES. People got up and were less than pleased. The term frenzy could be used. Still a little embarassed about that one. ok that's it for now. thanks this has been theraputic
  22. GJ&H what we have to keep in mind is that nearly everyone in the NFL at that position has at one time or another used some kind of juice. This will drop him, but not as far as you might think - it depends on whether the NFL suspends him right off the bat but bottom line his crime was getting caught not juicing - and he's still a 305 guy who runs a 4.79 - that hasn't changed.
