If Jets are priced out of the safety market, the name I've heard connected with them is Steelers S Terrell Edmunds
The Jets have been priced out of every position.

Any word on whether Jarrod Davis sign someplace yet?

Whatever Shaq. Clearly he is just too stupid to realize how great of a team this is at this point in the rebuild.

Where did his production exist? He looked like a JAG at Norte Dame to me. He’s getting hyped because he’s tall.
He had three ints in 7 games last season. Really 6 because he got hurt in the 7th. He was all over the field when healthy.

RSJ The entire defense has to improve. In my opinion Using a premium draft choice for a two down lineman isn’t a good use of a quality pick. Some in the fan base kill Becton because of reports being out of shape, say Quinnen isn’t that good , he was drafted too high etc etc but he’s a heck of a lot more valuable and better than a player that after two plays is sucking wind and can’t get off the line. If JD takes him with a high pick both him and Davis would get absolutely crucified and with good reason
Davis is getting picked in the top 15 this year and for good reason. There is no need to put Davis on the field on third down if running isnt a threat. In the same way its not worth putting a pass rushing DE on the field in obvious run situations.

If Hamilton was 6'1, nobody would be clamoring.
The "unicorn" production doesnt exist with him.
His production existed. Especially when looking at it bs games played.
One thing not really being talked about with this draft class is the production verse these combine stats. I think the covid impact on offseason training impacted production and player health the last two seasons. Thats why we are seeing more disparities than normal.

I think the reason he comes off on third down is because he just doesn’t have the stamina to rush the passer. Saw that in the first Georgia-Alabama game. When Bama went to no huddle and started passing he couldn’t get off the line of scrimmage as he was gassed. Not saying he’s out of shape but that’s a whole hell of a lot of human to move at maximum effort for extended periods of time
It is true he is a two down DL. But there is a reason Bama decided not to even bother running the ball against Georgia. Davis and Georgias DL is just that good. The Jets rotate their line anyway so I see no difference. It does however seem that Saleh likes two penetrating DTs rather than a traditional zero technique and a three technique. Either way the run defense needs to improve or nothing else really matters.

With Fatukasi leaving and having had the worst run defense in the league Davis makes a ton of sense at 10

Good article. Most Jets fans once again have the team needs all wrong and want to pick a guy who maybe can play RT but is most likely a G at 4. Lmao

The Jets dont need pretty good players. The Jets need superstars and when Williams gets healthy he will be one. They really should highly consider trading back into the first to get him. This year is about being competitive and being .500. The following year will be about a big playoff push and he will be healthy by then.

I posted this a few weeks ago. I agree OBJ would be a good signing. This offense needs vets. The defense is what we should be using our picks on. Not entirely but mostly.

Nice work! It was a great listen!
Would love Hamilton at 4 and trading back up for Jamison Williams.

Hope everyone can see why we need to improve our defense too

Tierny and Tiki put together a good show. Other than that it pretty much sucks though.

At that amount, yes
I am surprised its that little of an amount. If thats the case then I was totally wrong and its an easy decision to pick it up.

Ok I just read that he can play multiple roles..which is why I made the comparison.

Peppers didnt have the size or range. But you are right. He can play multiple roles. In our defense though he wont be asked to most likely. He will more be like a Kam Chancellor a big, tall safety that covers a lot of ground and disrupts passing lanes with his size and range.

You're absolutely right. You can't have eight 20+ million a year players on the d line. But right now they have none.
They can afford to extend Q to a reasonable deal. He's a top ten DT in the league and still has a lot of room to improve.
Yeah definitely man. But the JFM signing guards against Quinnen asking for Donald money. If thats the case then he can be shopped and traded imo. We don’t really know his asking price and that 5th year option is expensive and fully guaranteed. Overall JFM gives the Jets some leverage to avoid the 5th year option all together as well and try to get something done this offseason or move him.

I read he only had 3 picks in 2021. If you draft someone that high..he better take the ball away. Not just “tackle well” and “cover ground”

In 7 games. 6 really because he was hurt in one. Ints dont pop off his facemask like Adams, if thats what you were wondering.

Wasn’t Jabril Peppers supposed to be the same player? You have to be careful with these Swiss Army knife type players. Jack of all trades master of none.

No. Not even close. Not even a tiny bit close.

I honestly dont have an issue with it. We meed four solid starters here and four in the draft. Its super attainable without spending a ton.
