The entire defense is built around the defensive line and rotating them in waves.
I expect them to add to the unit, not trade away their best player because it's time to pay.
Yeah I know this. I think everyone knows this. But you cant sign everyone and JFM is a less expensive option. You cant have 8 20+m a year DL on your team. Again, depending on what you get in return you could replace him with less expensive options.

Come on, are we going to get revved up about every bit of disinformation that gets released?? I seriously doubt this is for real...
Why wouldnt it be for real? You have a generational talent that could be there at 4 and you dont want to pick him? You would rather continue to give up 3rd and 18 screen passes? Did you not see Tom Bradys last touchdown against us?

maybe this is why they re-signed jfm last season. i agree that picking up williams fifth year isn't a bad thing to do but they need to hold off on the extension.
This was my thought as well. JFM really is more natural at Quinnens position. Idk what the Jets could get for Quinnen in a trade but it might make sense to move him and slide JFM there.

The difference is Adams couldn’t cover. Adams couldnt even play his zone correct. This is why he has been even worse in Seattle than he was here with the Jets. Hamilton is supposedly very good in coverage. He is long and covers a ton of ground. This is a better fit. Its really hard to compare Hamilton to anyone who has come out in the draft recently. His closest comp is probably Sean Taylor. He is totally different than Adams and the two shouldn’t be compared.
Also if you want to ask yourself why Buffalo’s top defense was exposed but Cinci’s wasnt, it was because of safety play.

I think it should be weighted differently than the NBA because obviously there is a bigger impact in that league when you get the #1 pick. But I do think there should be a lottery system of some sort put into play. Tanking isnt just good in the NFL because of draft position. You can really circumvent the cap too by playing the wrong players and then resigning the better player on the cheap. So really the NFL does need to do something to discourage tanking to at least some degree.

Belichick should have been banned for life in 2006. But instead Goodell destroyed the tapes. So who knows what the NFL will end up doing - but it wont be far enough. I can guarantee you that.

You guys don't seem to understand that we are going to draft Ahmad Gardner.
I hope you are right. Seems like the cleanest prospect to me.

Flores definitely should be a head coach and some Giants fans I know were upset he wasn’t picked. I think if what he says is true he has a good case.
Separate subject. Its time the NFL institute a draft lottery to stop all this tanking and over picking QBs. Maybe its a coincidence they picked a black head coach when they wanted to lose. It was rumored they wanted Gase to tank and thats why he left. Either way its terrible optics. Teams are picking QBs high now just so they get some time to rebuild from a fan base. A lottery will fix that too. .

We’d were driving up to Boston one year and there was an accident on 90 so the diverted us off into downtown Hartford. Scary.
Having said that we saw Bruce at the Hartford Arena. Not bad.
Yeah certain sections are nice. But most of the city you need to be very careful of.

Make sure you wear a bullet proof vest. Hartford is a sh*thole.

Changes happen too. Andy Reid wont be coaching forever. Jacksons backup looked better this year. Herbert missed the playoffs. Things can change quickly in the NFL

It just seems to me that the NFL desperately needs a minor league system where players can not only be called up, but can be developed. It is getting to the point that if you don't have a top 5 / 10 QB in the league, you are not winning.
A minor league system would probably be a good idea. Even just 6 games in this time period (Feb-Mar) but before the draft so you can really evaluate and develop players under 25.

Sam seems like a nice guy. But it doesnt seem like the elevator goes all the way to the top floor.

OBJ will take half of what we offer to have an NFL QB throw to him. He is staying in LA
Maybe. But an effort on the Jets part would be nice.

This is all I care about. Get me these three guys.
You can get a guy who gets you 4.5 sacks in the 5th round.

Do not worry. Stingley is not even on Joe Ds draft board.
The sad part is you are probably right. Each of the top 4 prospects have major holes in their game. But they are all the top 4 available. But JD will probably pick the 4.5 sack guy and wonder why he never sees the field.
Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app -
The people posting these mocks have zero clue about JD and how he works.
I’d say there is less than a 1% chance he would take a DB at 4.
He’s publicly stated the line of scrimmage and weapons are a priority. He got great value from DBs in 5th round or later. Saleh’s system NEVER needed great DBs, it needs great pass rushers.
These mocks are ignorant and totally informed.
Tell me more about how you think JD works. He never picks shut down corners? Gimme a break dude. Stingley is probably the best prospect in this draft. Ravens love top CBs. JD is from there.

So if Hutchison and Thibodeaux and Neal go 1-3, who exactly is trading up????????? This is what I don't like about the trade down cult. They always think there is a market for the pick. With no stand out QBs, trading down is going to be difficult.
If that happens the pick is Stingley. He is the only top prospect left. Unless you want a DE who got 4.5 sacks and wonder why you picked Gholston again.

I would rather sign Antonio Brown
I mean AB does fit into the catagory of Ridley or OBJ

Jets high on Kyle Hamilton?
in NY Jets Forum
Posted
As Parcells used to say “if you listen to the fans you are going to end up sitting with them”
I sincerely hope the Jets dont listen to this thread or to Jets fans and pick Hamilton if they truly like him. There is plenty of cap money and picks to fill other needs with.
Next weekend when Ramsey shuts chase down this entire forum will be clamoring for Sauce Gardner. You guys love chasing the flavor of the week. Its honestly very lazy thinking.
