    And sometimes you're NOT competitive at the beginning. Why should they be competitive coming off a 2-14 season? What about this team says "competitive"? the Run defense? The pass defense? The OL? The kicking game? WHAT?


    Bro they are worse than last season. They had an offseason with the most cap in the league and two first round picks. They arent going to get close to the Vegas over/under of 6 wins. This is a colossal failure on every level. The defense is much much worse. The QB play and offense, worse. Huge failure. You honestly think this is the first year of a potential rebuild? Lol

    YOu start with a vision. And then you make adjustments. But in Year One, you're virtually having a season of training camp. It's not a quick process. But it starts somewhere and usually not a good somewhere.
    I'm going to be patient, obviously not here consistently because this level of negativity gets old too quickly. But I'm going to continue to look for positives, as in "no turnovers" and go from there.


    Idk who told you its like this but its not true. You can be competitive in a rebuild. I read the stats about rookies starting and it leading to more wins - but that stat is totally flawed. It includes teams like Cleveland that were bad for years, always starting a young team until they actually got people in there that could pick players and coach. You rebuild ans you start trying to win day one. Thats it. End of the way to do it.

    He’s not ready to throw a 7 yard out on 3 and 10?


    Its a little more complicated than that I think. I think when he moves to his second read he has trouble resetting his feet and body. It could be corrected with time. But it should also be obvious in practice if they are practicing the right way. There is also a lot Mac Jones cant do yet. Coaches arent asking him to do it anyway.

    Obviously I hope the Pats lose but Belichick just don't give no fuggs


    I could see this coming from a mile away tbh. In order to stop a screen in a four man front you need extremely talented DEs. Ones that recognize the screen. Its why I think its better to have depth to be multiple instead of to just rotate DL. In order to stop the run in a 4-3 you need three outstanding LBs.

    It's just incredible how Belichick doesn't follow trends he starts them. Two TEs back in the Gronk/Murderer days, zigging to a run game when everyone else is going pass. He just recognizes when 90% of NFL teams are doing the same thing, you can get disproportionate value out of players designed to run something else. He's incredible and I hate him.


    Thats exactly right. The Jets are like a cat chasing their tail. Its never been about the QB. Its been about finding talent and putting them in a position to succeed. Now Mac Jones will get better. He isnt getting beat up while he learns the game. In two years this board will be flooded with threads about how we need to tank to get a better defense and running game.

    Belichick is a genius. He saw something and damn if he isn't teabagging the Bills right now.
    Meanwhile Saleh would show up in a muscle T and say "we didn't prepare for wind."


    Most fans would see the same thing. This style of defenses weakness is stopping the run. He has two teams in his division running it. The Pats one loss is to the team that doesnt run this crappy scheme.

    Zach played better today and we lost which keeps us at the top of the draft.  Woody, Joe and Robert are smiling from ear to ear.  Best case scenario happened today jet fans.  See the big picture.  Today was a massive win for this franchise.


    Good teams and good GMs find good players all over the draft. Bad teams, bad coaches and bad teams dont. Its pretty simple to understand. No one was smiling from the Jets today.

    There have been multiple studies that have shown that the viral load for those infected with the virus who are vaccinated is identical to the viral load to those infected with the virus who are not vaccinated. The vaccine very clearly does not stop infections, and it likely does not even lessen your chance of getting infected based on every statistics and study I have seen. What the vaccine very clearly does, for a very limited time, is reduce your chance of getting severe enough symptoms to be hospitalized or die. So if that is the case, by your argument, people who are obese and people who smoke are also pretty sellfish.


    It is true that the vaccine kept hospitalization down which is very good obviously. What has not been clear is how long that lasts. I dont think they knew the answer of that beyond just an educated or scientific guess. They couldnt have known because it wasnt even researched that long.

    Also smoking was initially thought to be a major contributor but it turns out its pretty negligible.
