  1. PR ploy?
That’s what you think teams who without a FQB are doing when they scrounge for a FQB?  Because this team has had a history of having a hard time selling tickets?

Maybe those team are just misguided all together. What makes a franchise QB? Is it winning? Stats? Because I see lots of different QBs making the playoffs and SB that dont put up great stats and I see lots of QBs that put up great stats that dont win. Like I said in earlier threads franchise QB is a term no one can really define because its ridiculous.

  2. And I disagree in turn. Individual wins in a year where Vegas has you at 5.5 are irrelevant to the bigger picture of creating sustainable success. If Zach proves to be the guy, you have your answer. If he doesn’t, then they’ll need to do something significant at the QB position next year because the answer is not otherwise on the roster.

I’d also suggest that the current regime agrees with me in this regard. They’re trying to build for the long haul, not to get you to buy a Flacco jersey this year. Saleh’s probably a little hungrier for short term wins than JD, but it’s the big picture that they’re both looking at.

No such thing as long haul. Thats a PR ploy to get you to buy tickets while the team isnt very good. This team is good on paper right now. The only thing that could screw it up is a QB like Wilson who isnt good at all.

  3. Yeah I hear ya I'm there. But I'm tired of "fans" threating to leave for whatever reasons. Don't complain just do it.

I totally understand. I meant this question for the mature adults here. People have obviously said see ya and meant it by the looks of the stadium on Sundays. My kids take some of my tickets because they are in their 20s and have healthier livers than me. But I still go to like 4-6. The first one this year being Miami. Already scheduled it so no backing out - but if it was one of those games where I needed to find some people to go with and Wilson still looks shaky at best I would probably stay home. Otoh is Flacco looked competent and good, I would go regardless. Just was wondering if others felt the same way.

  4. Yes - last year. 2nd year rookie year.
Btw, he also brought the Jets back from a double digit deficit in that game and made several critical plays down the stretch, including the winning TD and FG drives.

Heres the mistake you are all making. The team picks the quarterback. Not the coaches the fans or the front office. Saleh will be sealing his fate if he sits the QB the team has a better chance winning with.

  5. The defense was spectacular. Hall had perfect coverage on that TD. Flacco and Mann handed the ravens the ball deep in our own territory

The defense is very talented and they played with passion. They weren’t spectacular. Hall shouldnt have been on the field that play. Joyner had multiple breakdowns. They played well but not spectacular and that Baltimore offense isn’t exactly KC.

  6. You didn’t think the defense was well coached yesterday? Wasn’t that the biggest question since you established that LaFleur was good last year?

They played with energy. Which you would expect on an opener on 9/11 at home. They also had typical breakdowns in the secondary and made personel mistakes (Bryce Hall)

Lefluer was decent in the last 5 games because he dumbed down the offense. Which was smart since it sounds like from the whispers of the local beat, they barely practice. Prior to that though Lefluer was a joke as well.

  7. I personally believe unless things go haywire fast, coaches should get at least three years. This ready to fire quick attitude though is built from an overall lack of trust in ownership through the teams last decade. It’s built up frustration with the past being taken out on the present.

Its got very little to do with the past with the exception of me seeing a team that isn’t being coached well before. Saleh is in way above his head and it wont take a third year to figure it out. Just watch a press conference.

  8. They definitely aren’t, but maybe Woody has to suffer financially in order to start offering real money to big candidates.
After yesterday, if there isn’t a significant improvement, I won’t be renewing my season tickets, PSL be damned.

I wont be either. Not an empty threat either. This is just too much and too long of nonsense from this organization. I can stop watching in the third quarter from my home easier than Incan from the stadium.

  9. Jerry Jones has one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel.
Even if he hangs on a few more years, if I’m Sean Payton, I come here instead.
We have two owners with no backbone, but good intentions he can easily control, and a beaten down fan base without any of the expectations and sense of entitlement Cowboy fans have.

Agreed. Plus a talented roster. We are more attractive of a job than Dallas is.

  10. At some point they will be out of tricks to try and get people in their stadium. They have tried just about everything including gimmicky uniforms, convincing young fans its a QB driven league, supposedly promising young coaches. Eventually the circus runs out of tricks.
