  1. Shame. TX used to piss me off quite a bit, until I just ignored him, like you do a child. When he did actually post about football, he seemed knowledgable. He can't seem to help himself. If he can't avoid being a troll, he should be banned. people come here to discuss football, to get information. It gets old, stale having to sort through post after post of trolling.
  2. Uh, you forgot one http://chicagosports.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/cs-061115downey,1,6914904.column?coll=cs-bears-headlines Lineman Robertson keeps on truckin' Mike Downey In the wake of the news November 16, 2006 HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. -- Dewayne Robertson rumbles into the New York Jets' locker room, a size-8 baseball cap on his head, 317 pounds packed onto a squatty 6-foot-1-inch body. A wide load of a lad. A visitor wonders which automobile from Robertson's growing collection he drove Wednesday morning to the Jets' training camp at Hofstra Un
  3. Good news break, SJ. As you know, I live in Miami and this is "Cane Country". The fans here are rabid and many have aksed for Butch Davis to return. It's funny that when Butch was here, many wanted him fired and replaced by Coker or Jimmy Johnson; now they want him back. I saw this thread and mentioned the news to guys int he office and they couldn't believe it. They claimed all kinds of stuff, that Butch is definitley headed back to Miami, blah blah blah. Butch, if anything, is a tremendous recruiter. I dare say he's the greatest recruiter in UM history. If he coul
  4. I just thought some of you guys might be curious as to where he ended up. Chicago signed him on Wednesday. I always liked McClover and thought he could contribute, but I think his injury played a big part in his being let go. http://www.suntimes.com/sports/football/bears/113483,CST-SPT-bearnt27.article EXTRA POINT: The signing of linebacker Darrell McClover on Wednesday brings to six the number of clients of agent Drew Rosenhaus currently on the roster, the most the Bears have ever had. bbiggs@suntimes.com
  5. Yes, what part of Miami? Me, Mean Bro Green, Joey Stlyez, and a bunch of other Jets fans often go to Davie. Depending on where you live, it could take 40 min to an hour, but the drive is often worth it. It's the South Florida Jets Fans Club.....I can send you a link.
  6. I'm not sure if SE had this posted in the Jets article sticky, or whether this was previously posted, but I thought some of you might be interested in this article I found on Profootballweekly.com http://www.profootballweekly.com/PFW/NFL/AFC/AFC+East/NY+Jets/Features/2006/cotcheryQA.htm Q&A with Jets WR Jerricho Cotchery By Mike Holbrook Sept. 23, 2006 Though the season is still young, it
  7. F Them. They had no issue coming on our boards and warning us or giving us a big fat "I told you so" when Paul Hackett came aboard or called a draw on 3rd and long. How quickly they forget. I'll tell you what, though. They had better get used to it, because it will not get any better, not in that division. I'll give them wins against Oakland, only because they are so bad, but when the same old excuses pop up, week after week, they will hear it not only from us, but from the media.
  8. I hope you didn't get your info from here... http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=268972
  9. Sermon Edwards is at it again. How ironic. Some things never change. Herm's starting QB suffers a freak injury, his starting offensive line, once the best in football, is now in shambles, and his defense is porous. Miscommunication has once again reared its' ugly head and the word "conservative" has also been hurled his way. An offensive coordinator avoids making any comments. Where have I heard this before? I like the man. Herm is a good person, a nice guy, but I don't want him coaching my team. KC will get their doors ripped off by Denver this weekend, and Herm
  10. Here's his press conference: HERM EDWARDS: "I apologize for being late but I was talking to Trent (Green). He's getting ready to go home (from the hospital) which is good. Obviously, he's out this week. We'll move on and Damon (Huard) will play. We have to put a good plan in for him to let him be successful, especially going on the road against Denver. "When you look at the Broncos last week the score doesn't really dictate what happened to them. Offensively, they moved the ball very, very well. They ran the ball for 160 some yards on the Rams and really got down (near the goal l
  11. More ammunition against Herm... Herm Edwards helps K.C. under bets By Stephen Nover Tue, Sep 12, 2006 That sure didn
  12. Are you the same Ray Ray that has a love/hate relationship with PatsFanTx? Lol lol. Welcome, regardless. I like the additon of Mosely, although I did not like what I saw from our defense this pre season. Too much yardage given up on the ground, and far too little pass rush. I think Adams can contribute, but I fear Schlagel, Hobson, and Vilma being abused this seaosn, taking huge lumps, ntil we can get a serious DT/NT prospect to step in.
  13. Didn't mean to call attention to your error.....
  14. Agreed. I also think that Mangini's handling of both Ferguson and McCareins can be linked to concentration. McCareins has had passes hit him right in his hands and he would drop them. That is a lack of concentration. Ferguson jumping offsides is due to a lack of focus, concentration. This is all preparation on how teams become champions and stay champions. In the past, this nonsense was tolerated. No more.
  15. I think most reasonable, level headed fans know that Chad's days as a starter for the NY Jets are numbered. This season is more about installing offenses and defenses, and evaluating talent, than anything. No, Mangini and co. are not about to give in and give up an entire season, but we are at least another year from competing seriously. We are in need of too many important pieces right now. Chad starting is good; for us, for him and for the organization. It allows Schottenheimer to use him as a guinea pig for the new offense and give Clemens time to acclimate himself to the NFL
  16. Damn, you beat me to it. I remember being on the road, listening to the draft on the radio, and the braodcast team going nuts, calling out Cincy for making a HORRIBLE pick. Cincy was called out for years for selecting Jones so early.
  17. Part of growing up is learning responsibility and being accountable for your actions. Your son should make his own decision. .
  18. Not onyl was Herm incapable of making ingame adjustments, he was a terrible judge of talent and made horrible adjustments with his lineup. It was HERM that decided to convert Shaun Ellis into a DT after a successful stint as a DE. It was HERM that brought in the WCO and tried to fit square peg Vinny into a round hole. It was Herm that gave Pennington far too many snaps during the pre season of '03, leaving himself little time to scramble and have VT ready once our "franchise" qb was injured. It was HERM that promised Lamont Jordan each year that he would be utilized
  19. Raj, You give Herm all the credit, and little, if any of the blame. Bradway does deserve a bad rap for some of the free agent signings and losses, and well as questionable draft decisions, HOWEVER, Herm, as Head Coach, must have had a say in those transactions. If you want to kill Bradway for Matthew Hatchette, Damien Robinson, Steve White, Sam Cowart, etc Herm also deserves blame, beacause it was HIS offense and defense. It was his team and he should have had a vision as to how those players would have fit in and contributed. Herm also worked with White and Robinson in Tampa an
  20. Interesting. Bradway and Herm knew that Dwayne Robertson had a bone on bone knee issue BEFORE drafting him, yet Mangini and co. pass on Suggs. Not that Mangini and Tannenbaum would have traded 2 #1's and a 4th to move up with Chicago, but I wonder what their feelings on DRob are, or would have been....Guess I have my answer.
  21. I always looked forward to reading Berger's column. An excellent article from an excellent writer. I'm sorry he will no longer cover the team. Our loss.
