  1. Well, on the bright side, Brown's, Karsay's, Bernie's, Stanton's, Quantrill's, Gordon's contracts all end after this season and Mussina's and Posada's end at the end of next season. That will leave a lot of room to spend more wisely on players from outside the organization and promote from within. The main thing that the Yanks have to do is just play this season out and don't make any desperate, deadline deals. They have to keep playing Phillips everyday, keep Wang in the rotation even when Wright comes back, and soon promote Cano to take over for Womack.
  2. I admit I'm worried about the Yankee rotation. Johnson will be fine, Mussina is still good but is on the decline, they should have never signed Wright and let Lieber go, Pavano should be OK, and Brown is awful. Not to totally defend Wright here, but he may have got hit hard because he had such a big lead to play with and he wasn't out there in awhile, and he did get hit in the ankle. Even with all the question marks the Yanks have in their rotation, they still have a better staff than the Sox.

  4. Shouldn't you be worrying about Schilling and the rest of the below average Red Sox starting rotation?

Now if A-Rod can only do this in a meaningful game during a clutch situation, then we may have something here. It's nice to see all the bats woke up. The Rays are the perfect team for the Yanks to play right now.

  8. A-Rod hits a HR when the Yanks are down by 5. What a joke.
  9. Almost every player on the team thinks HR when they're at bat, and they want to hit a grand slam when no one's on base. They should just get back to the basics and focus on hitting the ball hard up the middle and getting on base any way possible. It's very, very frustrating to watch the Yanks right now. No heart at all.

    I hate Kevin Brown

The three biggest losers on the Yankees are Brown, Giambi, and A-Fraud. I just wish they were all gone. I can't even root for them anymore. Hopefully Brown does the team a favor and punches the wall again when this one is over. The only Yanks that are easy to root for are Jeter, Bernie, Tino, Matsui, Rivera, and Posada, and two of those players are washed up. It will never happen unfortunately, but I would love for Torre to send a message and demote Brown to the bullpen and call up Wang to take his place in the rotation. I would also like Cano to be brought up and take over fo
  11. I know it will never happen, mainly because Jeter is so loyal to him, but Torre needs to be gone and the faster, the better. The Yankees look so flat, playing with no fire and it's very frustrating to watch. This team's lack of mental toughness and heart is a result of Torre
  12. Unfortunately, the Red Sox fan is right. Of course it's still way too early, but I don't like what I'm seeing so far this season. On paper this team has so much more talent than those '96-00 Yankees, but they lack that special chemistry that those teams had that puts you over the top. For all the money that's put into this team, it really is poorly constructed. Torre really needs to light a fire or send a message by benching A-Rod right now because they look flat and uninterested out there.
  13. The Yankees should've never traded away Lilly. That was the first mistake. After his game 7 debacle, Brown shouldn't even be on this team anymore. I just wish him and Giambi would go away.
  14. I do think Abe got way too much criticism last season because he was legitimately hurt and he wouldn
  15. I think most of the people that are against Herm, are frustrated and impatient longtime Jets fans that want to win another championship as fast as possible. I think the main difference between the Herm supporters and haters, is that the supporters are more satisfied that we made the playoffs 3 out of 4 years, while that achievement doesn
