  1. There should be a book discussing the formation of this site and all these stories. It wouldn't sell, but it should exist.

  6. That’s cool! I hadn’t heard of this service, looks like a separate company but it’s the jets you did it through? Any details about it you care to share? Does it get you in the inner circle? If you see me down there tap my shoulder to say hi, I’ll be in a #2 green jersey with TAILGATEJOE on the back, and some wild hair.
  7. I’ll be there Tuesday-Sunday. Staying at Nobu at Ceasers. Anyone get inner circle tix? I’ll be in there day 1 and 2. There will be lots of fan parties. Thursday night I will be at the Buccaholics party, all fans of all teams are welcome. Friday night is the Elite Super Fans party at the golden nugget, might swing by that, not sure yet. 8. e-15, along the curb, not taking up a parking spot
  9. My father is at the check-in table, if its sold out ask for me.
  10. Flipside, it can be a great bonding and family tradition for a family. I know it has been with my parents, brothers, nieces and nephews joining me. I am sure @Maxman will agree. Having been doing TailgateJoe since 2019 I have seen people grow older together and seen what started as a dad bringing a small child become a dad bringing his college son who came home for the weekend just to spend game day with dad. For a few extra bucks you can turn an expensive 3 hour game into a bigger day spent outside in the fall weather, bonding with family away from the distractions of video games and all the other nonsense. As the kids get older it gets harder to get them to want to hang with the parents, this is one of those ways to do it. Sure there are tailgate groups made up of young or old guys that maybe go a little too hard on the beer, but the majority are families and friends enjoying each other's company. My own party is a great mix of ages with everyone feeling safe and comfortable and having a great time, because that is the way I present and control the party. My food pretty damn good, better than anything you can get in the stadium by a mile, and between the DJ, corn hole, beer pong, and my surly yet hilarious mom, there is fun for everyone. I know your troll game on here, lol, but maybe come check it out one day? I'm in lot E.
  11. Keep your head up brother. Prayers for you guys every day.
  12. sorry, just saw this, haven't been on jn in a bit. Thanks @Maxman ! Hey @JCJetsNation, you guys are def welcome to roll with us in the lot, it's gonna be a great time!
  13. OHHH YEAHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! Gonna be a great season, I have a good feeling about the team this year! TailgateJoe is gonna be back and bigger baby!
  14. What do you mean lost TailgateJoe? I’ll most definitely be back at the stadium.
  15. And this would only really happen because of Jamal, Jets can't get Watson without those 2 Seattle trade picks and Seattle is now significantly hampered in drafting help to appease Wilson because they squandered the picks to acquire Jamal. Let your noodle bake on that for a minute!!!
  16. Actually, stone is used to sharpen iron. Be the stone, dude. I enjoy your posts and outlook, stick around!
  17. 1) that beer bong pull was like my 4th in a row and after I smoked some like 6’7 guy. 2) I think she was popping the caps off the bottles with her teeth, that chick was a pro.
  18. Future picks are generally valued as a round less for every year out. So... 2022 1st is valued as a 2nd rd pick 2023 1st is valued as a 3rd rd pick. so those picks wouldn’t even be worth our Seattle 1st this year. The only crazy thing is that LA just avoids 1st round picks like they are Covid contaminated.
  19. You don’t think NFL popularity and media market money has exploded in the last 20 years? The advent of fantasy football alone has led to an explosion of popularity and revenue. Games and content are streaming on all kinds of devices, the nfl is playing games overseas, they even launched their own network in 2003. A LOT has happened in the last 20 years that caused a huge increase in revenue and valuation of an nfl team. So yeah, just looked it up, NFL went from 4 billion in revenue in 2001 to 15 billion in revenue in 2019. So yeah, the team value tracks very well with the overall revenue growth of the league, not to say anything of its expected continued exponential growth in light of the internet and increased media consumption not applicable in 2000.
  20. Yeahhhhhh, but that gain wasn’t made in a vacuum. I’d say pretty much every nfl team has made about the same % gain over that time. The popularity of the game and exploding tv contracts in the last 2 decades brought these valuations, and that wasn’t due to the Jets or anything they did. Also, there is tremendous scarcity with available NFL teams for ownership. I would bet any team coming on the market would sell at a premium to its value. Besides, if any member on this board happened to have that kind of generational wealth handed down from a great grandfather, they would have made the same decision to buy the jets from Leon. The guy who put his money on Apple when they were making computers in a garage or again when Sculley had destroyed them in the early 90s, or the guy who put money on Bezos when he was writing his business plan for Amazon in the back of his car.....that would be a resume. I’m not knocking WJ for buying the Jets because clearly it was a good decision, but it wasn’t a business decision that was breathtaking or visionary or particularly genius.
  21. But there’s also opportunity cost to forcing this hold out, on field, in the stands,in the media, and with sponsors. Lots of things to consider in going to the mattresses in today’s world.
  22. I have no inside info whatsoever because I’m just a super fan, lol. Here is what I think today. 1 I think today the Texans genuinely may believe they don’t need to trade him and he will come around. 2 I think the Texans are also supremely tone deaf and not living in reality and this is why they believe it will get worked out. This same tone deafness is why they ignored minority candidates for interviews and why their eventual hire was a 65 yo temporary guy they thought would cover their ass on minority hiring. 3 I think easterby is reinforcing this belief because that DW comes around because if they are forced to trade DW it will be his fault and his career. 4 I think DW may be principled enough and rich enough to call the team bluff and sit out. 5 I think waiting until after the draft only will hurt the Texan negotiating position with other teams, as everyone will know it’s a dire situation at that point and teams make their draft picks and FA signings, leaving less money or rosters for qbs. 6 I think unless DW has a coming to Jesus moment with management, I think they will have to trade him. Even if he doesn’t hold out, the team, FA, fans, and media will know he doesn’t want to be their and speculation will continue. Players will be effected, FAs will avoid them. The tram can win the battle but lose the war. 7 I think with so many QB changes this and next year, if the Texans don’t spring on the opportunity to draft via trade this year, it will only be harder and more costly next year. 8 I think the greatest chance they have of quick turn around on the field and in public opinion is get a haul of picks this year, get rid of Easterby, and make Culley a mentor for a young promising coordinator to take over in 2 years and let that be known. just some rambling thoughts I’m fat fingering on my phone, excuse the grammar, lol.
