  1. Another great Jet WR loses his daughter. Prayers to the Toon family! https://nypost.com/2021/04/13/molly-lillard-daughter-of-al-toon-dead-in-apparent-murder-suicide/ Molly Lillard, the daughter of New York Jets great Al Toon, was fatally shot Sunday at her Arizona home in an apparent murder-suicide, a report said. Police believe Lillard’s husband, 36-year-old Royce Lillard III, shot her before turning the gun on himself in their Scottsdale house. The couple’s 8-month-old child was there at the time and was not injured, police said. Royce Lillard is suspected of
  2. Maybe she's pregnant and is patiently waiting 4 months for you to notice and get the joke??? I've got 2 young kids and my wife got me a shirt that says "Dad Jokes? More like Rad Jokes!"
  3. So are the Niners not attending this? I stopped paying too much attention to fields given the evidence of us being tied to Wilson but didn’t the Niners also miss his 1st pro day to attend a different one? I think I remember reading that but not sure. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  4. While the team may not be built, the team is in much better shape than when Darnold was drafted. 2018 WR's: Quincy Enunwa (who only started 10 games), 2nd year Robby Anderson (who started 9 games), and Jermaine Kearse followed by Terrell Pryor and Charrone Peake. TE: Eric Tomlinson and a rookie Chris Herndon. RB's: Isaiah Crowell, Bilal Powell (for 7 games) and Elijah McGuire OL: Beachum (serviceable), Carpenter (in decline), Long (really?), Winters (yeah no) and Shell (meh) 2021 WR's: Corey Davis, Denzel Mims, Jamison Crowder, Keelan Cole, and still have B
  5. It's funny that the knock on Wilson is his frame and whether he can stay healthy and the fact that he's already had labrum surgery...yet as the article states, Lawrence is currently recovering from.........labrum surgery.
  6. All Pro CB's are found in the first round... period. If they decide one is available at 23, I trust their judgement. Our CB's are the worst position group in the NFL, they can use 1 of our many high round picks. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  7. I'd be worried about the Jets last 25 years if we had the same GM ad during that timeframe. With a GM of 2 years and a HC that hasn't even started yet, I'm less concerned. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  8. Logic doesn't create tweets, comments or views. Any thing or anyone related to the media only care about one thing, metrics to convert to as revenue. Sent from my iPhone using JetNation.com mobile app
  9. I posted the farewell from Jamal not as an example of a "classy goodbye" but as a rebuttal to those saying "Well of course he wouldn't do that because of how badly he was treated here!!1!" Now, I was totally onboard with Jamal being traded and his antics brought a lot of the fans anger on himself HOWEVER if you were to compare the two situations, I think it would be hard to argue that Sam didn't leave us on better terms than Jamal did.
  10. Yes, it is their choice...and it is his choice not to. And it is our choice to discuss the fact that he is the only one not to....on a message board.....to discuss the Jets and their players, past and present. Poor sweet Sammy wasn't ready for the Big Apple and can do no wrong!
  11. Well let's see, every other QB who was traded this offseason did it so yeah, it's an industry standard. https://www.instagram.com/p/CK1uBLYlMCY/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link https://www.freep.com/story/sports/nfl/lions/2021/03/17/matthew-stafford-detroit-lions-farewell-video/4744038001/ https://www.instagram.com/p/CLfmFnlBvw5/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link
  12. Where is all this unsympathetic fan base crap coming from? Last I checked the fans supported him pretty well his first 2 years and there were no fans in the stadium last year. Look at this thread alone, he still has plenty of cheerleaders who explain away every fault he has.
  13. Do you ever have to do something "phony" or "unnecessary" for work? In most jobs you do at some point.
  14. Of course it's fake! What do you think I really believe he is going to hold NY Jets fans in his heart forever?? No. But again, it is still something that MOST athletes do after getting traded, signing elsewhere in the offseason or retiring. I'll put it this way....if Jamal DIDN'T make a post like this after getting traded, I bet a large part of this site's "No big deal" group would make a thread about how much a punk he was and how immature it was to leave without saying anything. It's a total double standard.
  15. Some of the best NFL players in the history of the game had zero reading comprehension skills and played with a chip on their shoulders at any perceived slight. This wouldn't cause me alarm if we were to draft him (which I don't think we will).
  16. Obviously the immediate reaction is "who cares about social media??" but posting a goodbye to fans and former teammates has essentially become an "industry standard" for professional sports. You can call it fake, insincere or whatever but it does show a certain amount of respect to the fans that supported you and maturity to do it. Why does Sam get a pass because he was treated unfairly by a lack of talent around him? If Jamal Adams can post this after everything that went down at the end of his tenure here than Sam has no excuse:
  17. This is a great pickup by JD. Really shows all those posters who said he didn't do enough to address the OL this offseason how a professional GM operates. This kid had huge potential coming out of the draft. The only issue, as CookieMonsta will soon point out, is that his ring fingers measured out at 3.25" which isn't great for blocking head to head. On the other hand, they reduce wind resistance when pulling which makes him a perfect fit for the Shanny offense we are implementing. All in all, I give this signing a B+.
  18. This. Apparently, in addition to Steven Ruiz, numbers and statistics are also huge Sam Darnold haters.
  19. LOL! This is one of the best board meltdowns I've witnessed in a looooong time. Someone's witch pissed into his chicken bones this morning!
  20. Case 2 is certainly not a draw. If Zach performs well, you can't discount the $25M in savings and pushing the time to resign him 4 years into the future. Any scenario where Zach Wilson performs well will be a major win for JD, regardless of what Sam does in CAR.
  21. You mean acting exactly like 99% of other GM's do when answering questions to the press? Got it.
  22. Wow, this is a really great point if you ignore the fact that every detail about the two situations were completely different.
  23. Wrong. I actually bought it on Amazon....oh well, I guess I will keep it and see how many I end up with before we finally have a franchise QB and see how large my collection grows.
