  1. I don’t have huge feelings either way. I’d like to think JD can find a two solid contributors in rounds 2 and 3.
  2. That’s funny. Someone on JN this weekend suggested we slide back a few spots and pick up a first round pick next year in the process. Silliness. I wouldn’t mind a 2nd and 3rd though unless someone “fell” a little bit to 23. This team has so many holes to fill.
  3. He’s had one draft class in 18 months.
  4. Can’t blame him for trying to force way to Miami. Not a terrible place to live and play. I want nothing to do with Watson and Josh Allen in our division- Jesus. Tua, 3rd overall, 18th overall, Miami 3rd rounder this year plus 2022 1st rounder.
  5. Why would they get fleeced? Even if Watson forced his way out, how many NFL teams would not make offers to trade for him? Maybe 6? JN be like George Constanza....” ”Mr.Steinbrenner, I think I may have found a way for us to gets Bonds and Griffey and we wouldn’t have to give up that much!”
  6. End this thread. Reopen 12 months from now for discussion.
  7. I think Bateman spends majority of his time in the slot. Sign Robinson, draft Bateman. Bring Bateman along somewhat slow next year and then he can take over for Crowder in 2022. Imagine...we develop a player like that where we don’t have to count on him to start immediately.
  8. Where’s all the people who yelled “we shouldn’t trade him. Pay an in the box safety $17m a year” Where’s Joe Beingo? Would love to hear his thoughts lol
  9. The two point conversion will barely be a footnote. I don’t think Indy D can stop Allen’s Bills.
  10. I love the decision to go for two. And I love the run call. Running from shotgun formation - I absolutely hate.
  11. Their biggest hole is at QB. Watson solves that. Even if we gave up 3 first rounders (including 2nd pick overall) plus Darnold....we would still have picks in rounds 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 5 plus cap space to improve the team. Next year we would have picks in rounds 1,2,3,5,5. Is that not enough to fill holes? Especially with a Top 5 QB leading the team?
  12. I would do this in a heart heart. We can’t expect to trade for a 25 year old franchise QB and not feel the pain of whats required to give up.
  13. He’s a 25 year old legit top 3, top 5 franchise QB. Even if he forced his way out like a Jamal Adams he’s gonna cost so much draft capital. We got two 1s and a 3 for an in the box safety.....
  14. It’s Ok. We can just press the imaginary JN trade up button.
  15. True dat. Talk to me a year from now to see where these guys are at.
  16. I agree. But I will really agree after we get Wilson’s measurements. If he’s 6 ‘1 and 208 pounds - I’ll be even happier not to choose him. I also questioned Fields bc of his two duds against Indian and Northwestern but the Clemson game- damn.
  17. Isn’t that what we all would do if we were GM? A team with extra premium picks the next two years, huge cap space. You add a high end rookie QB and that means even more flexibility the next 4 years.
  18. Great post. 28 games of experience in HS and College combined. Jesus. Well at least now we only have to argue about Fields or Wilson for the next 116 days until the draft.
  19. Matt Campbell Fields at #2 JD does it again and somehow lands a second round pick for Sam
  20. I’m 42 years old and just killed you with logic. And you respond with “yea whatever”. You sound like my 8 year old.
  21. Ya right. They are probably scouts who pour over game film. I’d like to think JD isn’t retarded enough to draft another OL at 2.
  22. The right side of the line isn’t fine. But it’s hilarious how unintelligent fans don't prefer an elite QB prospect at 2....rebuild the OL with the Seattle pick, pick #34 and perhaps even FA. This line of ignorant thinking exceeds that of millennials which is a sad statement
  23. We have two extra first round picks the next two years. An extra third this year plus whatever Darnold fetches in a trade. Relative to most NFL teams - there is no arguing that’s a lot more draft capital.
  24. It really is. If the Jets pick Wilson or Fields - Darnold gets traded. If the Jets keep Darnold - they trade down. Why is this news worthy?
  25. Listen I liked Sam since Day 1. I’ve watched every game and listen to him face the music every week on the Michael Kay show. I root for him. I’m no scout but from what I’ve seen over 3 years I wouldn’t call him a good deep ball passer. I haven’t seen every game of Fields career but I’ve read his deep ball numbers are top notch and last night he showed it.
