  1. Straight from the horses mouth. Not two first round picks, just one...

With Payton soon to be available, he has armed himself with the information any team interested in hiring him will want to know: the price. Payton, an NFL analyst for Fox Sports this season, said on "The Herd" with Colin Cowherd that he has had conversations with Saints general manager Mickey Loomis and that the trade compensation required to get him will be "a mid-to-late first-round pick."

His senior year at WVU was insanely good.  The talent was there.  Some guys just need to get humbled before they can focus on working on their craft and not just expect the talent to carry them.

Nothing more humbling than getting your jaw broken I guess.

Good for Geno.  It's always fun to see a guy do what he's doing as long as he's not a bad guy.  I think Geno's matured a lot so I'm happy for him.

SiriusXM NFL channel is pretty good, otherwise it’s Beatle’s Channel, Tom Petty, or Little Steven’s Underground Garage. NY sports radio is a cesspool!

Way too many commercials. Drives me nuts...

There is the team and then there is the FO/CS.  If the latter is screwing up every which way possible then all bets are off regarding loyalty to the franchise.  At least that is how I see it.

Yet he just signed a new deal with that FO/CS four months ago..

"I'm lost for words, honestly. Been crying a little bit, a lot of bit, really. It's just an amazing moment for me," the two-time Pro Bowler said. "The money is amazing. It's life-changing. It's great. But the biggest thing is for the (organization) to just trust in me and believe in me that I'm their guy, I'm their quarterback is the biggest thing that really touches me."

1st film they should show to next year's corners  :)  Glenn was the victim in his rookie season.

I was also at that game. To be fair, I think Glenn was one of the few players that actually wasn't fooled on the play. I remember him slipping right after the snap and then he couldn't recover. I always thought he got a bad rap on that play. Oh well, that was my recollection at least...

Since he opted out it would definitely be in the future.

They placed him on the covid reserve list, but I haven't seen anywhere that he opted out.  Hope that is not the case...

Exactly. They really need to take a look at this guy. Shows up every game and does the job. I'm surprised they let him go to tell you the truth. The Jets need to get him in here ASAP.

Lions beats seems to think he wasn't adjusting well to the 3 man front being put in by Patricia....

By the way - Who exactly were those three other guys at the table with Joe. I was wondering which 1969 Jets were with Joe? Anyone have their names?

Randy Beverly, Ralph Baker and Jeff Richardson.  I think I saw those in the video??

Very silly of Hackenberg to allow this to be his narrative in his first interview.
Does he realize that his OC was also his QB coach last year?  Hackenberg's biggest
problem last year was his lack of understanding of line calls & protections.
He needs to stay silent and perform when given reps, if he truly is improved he'll
stay as a backup or get traded

He comes off bad in the tweets, but don't think it really came out that way.  I can't link right now but there is an article in the Post.  Basically, said not blaming anyone, Bates told him last year to work on it, etc...

Havent we all done something on Spring Break that we should be arrested for?

I agree, and we don't know for sure what happened, but this line from the indictment is troubling to say the least...

A woman alleged Patricia and a teammate, Greg Dietrich, took turns violently sexually assaulting her after barging into her hotel room.

  11. We're all just speculating here, but I personally believe that Cleveland not letting their intentions of taking Mayfield 1st known before the draft was also a blessing for us.  I think many teams were surprised that Darnold was sitting there for the Giants at 2.  If that was known the week before there would have been a lot more trade offers coming into Gettleman.  JMHO...

I'm comfortable with Darnold, Mayfield and Rosen.  But I'd really like to see them go 1,2,3 in any order.  The thought of the Bills trading up and picking the one we don't, scares the crap out of me.  I'd rather leave them with Allen.  Yes, I'm a paranoid SOB...

Agreed that it now looks like the Browns will go QB with the first pick. But, after the Browns select a QB, how do the Giants NOT take Barkley? And I really question the Giants trading out of the first 7 or 8 picks because the cream of the crop in this draft is the Quarterbacks, Barkley, Chubb, and Fitzpatrick. This is the Jets great advantage in trading up. If a team above the Jets makes a trade with the Jets, they can still get Barkely, Chubb, or Fitzpatrick. If a team picking in the top 5 trades with the Bills, they can say good bye to their shot at one of these guys. I think this makes the Jets a far better trading partner for the Giants, Colts or Browns than the Bills or any other team. I really can not envision the Jets screwing this up

    :D
