  1. I'm thinking conditioning was a problem yesterday, they were moving linemen in/out all day.  In fact it was a little discouraging to hear Leonard Williams say in his post game interview that his conditioning wasn't where it should be.  C'mon kid, you're 21 years old.  The new CBA is really going to hamper the early efforts of many teams and may be a factor in the rash of early injuries.  Just a thought...

  2. Many things have been stated already, but the tackling was atrocious.  I'm sure this could be partially related to the turbelent week they've gone through, but I'm sure Bowles will have them banging heads next week.

Terrible game by Demario Davis, his job should be on the line at this point.  McDougle looks like he may be a legitimate reserve if he can stay healthy.  Love the energy from Mauldin; the penalty was garbage and he'll learn to work the refs.  Definitely think Petty has the tools and will progress.  Needs to look down field more and work on his footwork but we all knew this.  His receivers surely didn't help him.

I expect a much better effort next week...

  3. For the conspiracy theorists out there. During the playoff run at the end of the year the pats* play 3 of their last 4 at home, while the Jets play 3 of the last 4 away. For the two weeks before the Thanksgiving matchup the pats* will be home (including an easy game against the Colts the week before) while the Jets will be away...

  4. First of all welcome :)

I agree with you about Rex and I feel hes just like his father. His defensive players love him and offensive players and the overall building of the offense is totally ignored. This does NOT work as a headcoach and it NEVER WILL. A HC needs to deal with the entire team and while i think he does a nic job with the defense and gets more out of them than most DC's I think thats where he should be a Defensive Coordinator not a Head Coach

I am not totally down on Rex yet like others, but I agree with you that he needs to make some changes and take over the ENTIRE team; it is so embarassing watching him in some post game press conferences and he has no answers for what was going on with the offense. I mean, c-mon man, a head coach needs to have the pulse of the entire team.

Rex also came out and said he just has to go back to being himself and that scares me. As a parent for many years I can assure you that one thing you can't be is your childs BFF. You will not get the respect you deserve and will not be able to discipline as required. I see the parent/child relationship much like a coach/player relationship and so far Rex just wants to be one of the guys. Rex needs to change his ways or these cancers will get worse. JMHO...

  5. I sat for two games in the 11th row of the upper deck and the sightlines were absolutely awful, the players looked like ants on the field. At that point my decision was to be one and done or fork over the PSL cash. After having tickets for 25 years and enjoying spending some quality time with my son (now 21) I decided that I would go for the $8k for a couple of Mezz A seats (3rd row). The seats are great and the view is more of what I was always used to. Having said that, yes it is extortion plain and simple, to have to pay for the right to buy tickets, but I had the choice and enjoy the experience of going to the games so I buckled. The thing is, the only time I enjoy this stadium is when I am sitting in my seats. Whoever designed this boondoggle should be publicly flogged. It is a nightmare to get in and out, and is quite literally a deathtrap. Should there be a fire or an explosion, more people will get trampled to death than at a mecca pilgrimage. Escalators are crowded, people are jammed together like cattle and the bathrooms are tiny with lines 10-15 deep. How anyone looked at the plans for this place and thought it was a great idea is baffling. It was built with the club seats in mind and nothing else. I'm not sure how any objective person can defend the place, it is not fan friendly.

    =D> QFT. Bravo...

  6. I don't understand why people are giving up there tickets for this season? It has nothing to do with next season.

I don't care, I got my call and took my years worth of season tickets. Next year I'll go back on the list. I never got to that many games in my life, so it will be nice to go to the last year at the Meadowlands, even if it does suck.

Are you referring to the team or the stadium sucking? The Meadowlands is a great place to watch football; I've been to over 200 games all over that stadium, the sight lines are awesome. I fear after the new stadium smell wears off of the new place, I'm going to sorely miss the upper decks of the current stadium. JMHO...

  7. I've been to about 200 Jets games in my life. I started going with my father when I was young, and to this day I still attend every game with him and I now have indoctrinated my son and daughter. They don't yet go to every game but the time will come when they are ready. As someone mentioned earlier, there are idiots everywhere you go, you have to teach your children morals and values and teach them how to live together with mankind in this world. I've seen just about everything at Jets games; fights, drunks, drugs, stupidity, lewd behavior (even sex in a porta-john if you can believe that). None of that has ever made me decide to stop doing something that I love; family, friends, BBQ, brews and a football game on a Sunday afternoon....
