  1. Actually, that is not true. I was at the game and there were still piles of rock hard snow/ice under all of the seats. The only difference was when we paid for parking we were handed a pamphlet stating we would be immediately ejected and lose our tickets if we attempted to toss anything, duh.....

I hear ya, I thought this was an O.J., Al Cowlings thread...
  3. That definitely sucks. But no offense, but why would you leave something that valuable out in the open. I have an old ****ty grill that's been to over a 100 games with me and I still chain it up to the back of my truck every time I go in. It sucks, but there are too many lowlifes in the world to leave a nice kegerator ripe for the picking....
  4. I personally will be there at 10:00 on Sunday....
  5. Vilma stated on his weekly session with Benigno on the fan today that he wasn't hurt. You can listen to it online from their homepage. A couple of quotes on why he was pulled "definitely wasn't because I was injured, you have to ask the head man why I was taken out" "it was a coaching decision"
  6. Must admit, after throwing the remote and breaking yet another one (seriously), the first thing I said after that play was they should just cut his a** as soon as he gets to the bench. My opinion has changed since cooling down a bit, but no need to call people names for voicing their opinions. Isn't that the point of this whole forum business....
  7. Very interesting to see her as truly human. With all of the despair and destruction she had witnessed in her life I would be more surprised if she never questioned God. I speak for myself, but I'm sure many followers are the same, there are often times when I wonder if I am truly doing the right thing. Am I truly fulfilling the destiny God wants for me. I've questioned God many times; why God do you let so many people suffer, why do you allow children to be molested, why are so many hungry, etc. It's not easy being human. But more often than not, situations occur in my life that renew my faith and make me a stronger Christian man. The footprints poem always summed it up best for me... One night a man had a dream. He dreamed he was walking along the beach with the LORD. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand: one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD. When the last scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He noticed that many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints. He also noticed that it happened at the very lowest and saddest times in his life. This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it: "LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me." The LORD replied: "My son, my precious child, I love you and I would never leave you. During your times of trial and suffering, when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
  8. I'll be going just to scout out a new parking area for my displaced tailgate party. Ugh....
  9. TRocks blog said he was walking around the sidelines looking good today. Led me to believe it is not too serious. Interesting...
  10. Cimini seems to think the Jets are lining up to do just that... http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/jets/ July 30, 2007 Jets mulling disciplinary action against Kendall It sounds like the Jets are mulling some sort of disciplinary action against disgruntled LG Pete Kendall, who continues to publicly bash the organization. Coach Eric Mangini was asked today about the possibility of disciplining Pistol Pete, who wants out in the worst way, and Mangini certainly led us to believe that he might try to nail Kendall for conduct detrimental to the team. "We have very specific rules in place and the players all got those rules," Mangini said. "They were clearly defined and articulated. The rules are designed to create the best possible working environment. Pete is a professional and I expect him to follow the rules like I anticipate all players to follow the rules." The natural follow-up question: Has Kendall broken any rules? "All discipline matters are internal," Mangini said, saying a lot while saying nothing. In Mangini-speak, that sure sounded like the Jets are building a case against Kendall. Posted by Rich Cimini at 1:54 PM
  11. Cool, I just remember D'Brick running away from reporters last year so thought it wasn't allowed. Looking forward to your report, thanks !!!!
  12. I thought Mangini didn't let the players give interviews during training camp. Wouldn't that violate some kind of player conduct clause? Just curious....
  13. The latest edition of JC states that Nuge has worked on his kickoffs all off season and has been booting them much longer lately. We've heard it before, and I'm not buying it until I see it in the stadium, but if he could add a bit to that part of his game he can be an even better weapon.....
  14. Back to the flip flops. My daughter had to have them a couple of years ago. Brought them for her and she wore them once. Dumb.....
  15. I agree. It's hard not to like guys like him....
  16. I don't remember hearing that Bill Hampton died, maybe he is referring to someone else....
  17. Wasn't Bill Hampton the manager since they were the Titans? I believe so. His son Clay took over when he retired, I don't know about 2000, 2001 or so....
  18. Man, you're in the wrong marriage brother. I'd explain it to you a bit more but I'm off fishing in my bodies boat while my wife is working and the kids are with the baby sitter. Priorities....
  19. Exactly, it was brought up in one of the OTA press conferences I believe...
  20. Actually I was on the sidelines for the Jets/Miami game last year and was standing in front of Kellen while he was warming up. I was very surprised, because he is not a small person. He is very thickly built and definitely looked the part. Whether or not he becomes a player remains to be seen, but I'm a big guy and I was quite surprised standing next to him....
