Glad you picked it up again!
Playing music relaxes the hell out of me...love it. Check out my youtube page in my sig.
How long have you been playing for?

So my one sister, andrea, was driving on the entrance ramp to route 18 at exit 8. She lost control of her car, hit one curb bounced over to the other one and ran right up over it. Turns out she has 3 flat tires from that...plus who knows what else...she will find out tomorrow. Thank God she is safe though.
My other sister, Johanna, left work early to go pick her up from the scene since her was getting towed. On Johanna's way to pick her up, she was on the circles where Rt. 33 and Rt. 34 are (for those of you central jerseyans) and some lady smashed into the side of her. Passenger door and fender are shot...alignment is out of whack...gonna be a pricey one. Thank God she wasn't hurt either.
Is this a twin thing?
Man...so thankful these weren't serious.

Is it grinding when your on the brakes or when your not using them?
When I step on the brakes...and then for a little bit after.
Sometimes not at all...
-
Depends what it's doing. If it is locking up it will keep squeezing the rotor after you release and would continue grinding. That will wear the pads down pretty quick, so that's pretty possible it would start grinding and it will keep doing it after you let off the pedal.
Thanks..I appreciate your help.
I'll update tomorrow after I get the diagnosis.
Thanks again! Hope this doesn't cost too much money...

100% grinding.
Hey, #27...if it is the caliper, would it still grind even after I released the brakes?
-
yea you should be fine.. but maybe your left calibers needs replaced now since you already replaced the left... rear brakes arent that important the front ones do most the stopping..lol
Would that cause grinding out of the right rear?
Also, is that expensive? lol

I have a 2001 VW Jetta Wolfsburg 1.8T
Got the brakes replaced 1 year ago exactly. At that time the car had 106k miles on it.
For the rear, this is what got replaced: Rear Brake Pads, Rear Rotors, Right Rear Caliper.
Now I have 126k miles on it, 18k more than last January.
Yesterday I started hearing a grinding noise out of my rear brakes. Once in a while it will not grind. Strange.
I know that 18k miles is not enough time to wear the brakes down.
I checked out the brake pads and they don't seem to be paper thin. They aren't as thick as a new one would be though.
Any thoughts on this? I am going to bring it to my mechanic tomorrow morning. Am I able to drive on it tonight and tomorrow morning?
Thanks car gurus. Help is appreciated!

He's 72 with a SB ring.
I think he might stay retired.
-
You are joking...right
I really don't think he is...
-
Who even knows if I am spelling these names right...
personally, my first choice is Billick...
this is a guy who has had success with some of the worst QBs in the NFL and he would be a perfect fit....
He would come in here and have no problem with either Favre or a young QB.
What is this boards thoughts on Billick?
-
Keep Favre.
Either draft a QB and let him learn for a year under Favre or bump up Ratliff to 2nd string, based on the pre-season, and have him learn another year under Favre.

Sorry if there is multiple threads...a lot going on in Jet land today.

A source told ESPN senior NFL analyst Chris Mortensen that although Cowher told the Browns he is not interested in their job, he has not ruled out a return to coaching somewhere in 2009. The source also said Cowher could still listen to opportunities to coach elsewhere next season.
Please Jets...please...get Cowher.

Thank GOD he is gone!

I really hope the Phins score here. Favre really REALLY deserves to end his career on that.
This whole collapse is not Favre's fault entirely.
You should be saying that Mangini deserves to end his career on this.
-
What about Cowher? I assume he might be under contract to not talk to anyone until his CBS job is over after this season.
-
I don't remember.
Do we have to wait until after the Super Bowl or can we hire and fire immediately?
-
lol. Nice.
I pray we get Cowher.

24-7 Baltimore.
Good night.

Maybe because the Jets are playing right now?
Oh they are? Didn't know that.

Why is this thread not alive?

I've had that feeling all week too.
I've also had a feeling that Miami will win.
My twin sisters got into two separate car accidents today...

Yeah it's crazy. Roads were slippery today. Or maybe that was my bald tires...
