  1. I really think that if Showtime or HBO would pick it up, they'd have a huge hit on their hands. They actually played the movie uncensored on Comedy Central's late night stash last weekend.
  2. Who else is a fan? I know it's not huge in the States but I remember they played it for a while on BBC. Funniest show ever made. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R684R6LKUYg
  3. Unless Tanny and Rex are 100% convinced (which they obviously aren't) that either Ratliff or Clemens is the guy, I don't see how we can possibly pass on Sanchez if he's available. The lack of experience is really the only knock on him. He has a good arm, decent size, great accuracy, fantastic pocket awareness, and can make plays with his feet. The risk factor isn't huge either. When you take a QB in the Top 5, that's when you're taking a big risk because if it doesn't work out it can cripple your franchise for years.
  4. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/football/bears/chi-25-doug-plank-jetsjan25,0,5576642.story Ex-Bear Doug Plank to coach NY Jets defensive backs By Dan Pompei | Tribune reporter 6:55 PM CST, January 24, 2009 The legacy of the 46 defense lives — in New York. Buddy Ryan thought so much of Doug Plank that he named his defense for the number Plank wore — 46. So it shouldn't be a surprise that Ryan's son Rex thought so much of Plank that he made him one of his first hires after he became head coach of the Jets. Plank has been hired as assistant defensive backs coach, and the former Bears safety will work with the safeties, NFL sources told the Tribune on Saturday. Plank had been working as a roving assistant coach for the Falcons but was interested in becoming a position coach. Most of Plank's experience has been in the Arena Football League. He was coach of the Georgia Force — coach of the year in 2005 — and defensive coordinator for the Arizona Rattlers. In Ryan's previous job as defensive coordinator of the Ravens, he ran an attacking defense with concepts similar to those of the 46. So Plank, one of the most hard-hitting players in Bears history, should be a perfect philosophical match with his new boss. Meanwhile, Brian Schottenheimer agreed to stay on as the Jets' offensive coordinator despite losing out to Ryan for the top job.
  5. Holy Sh*t There's no way I want him now that the good doctor does.
  6. Clarence Brooks is set to take over for Ryan when he leaves.
  7. I can pretty much guarantee that our new DC will be Mike Pettine, the Ravens OLB coach, if Rex is hired as HC. Their both very close in Baltimore and Rex has called him his "right hand man". "Mike is my right-hand man. Our backgrounds are very similar. My father is a legendary NFL coach and his father is a legendary football coach, who recently retired as the winningest HS football coach in Pennsylvania history. I know Mike will make a name for himself in this league. He's one of the best communicators I know, and he relates well with the players. He's smart, and he's dedicated." - Rex Ryan http://www.baltimoreravens.com/People/Coaches/Mike_Pettine.aspx
  8. "Rex likes the owner," the person said. "He was impressed that the owner flew down to meet with him. The Jets were very serious. I can tell you that Rex is leaning toward the Jets and the Jets are leaning toward Rex. "In fact, the Jets told Rex that they're prepared to wait until after the Super Bowl to hire him if they have to." http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2009/01/baltimore_ravens_rex_ryan_new.html
  9. According to the Newark Star-Ledger, Ravens defensive boss Rex Ryan has emerged as the new front runner to be the Jets' next head coach. The Star-Ledger had Jets OC Brian Schottenheimer as the favorite a week ago and he remains a contender. However, Ryan reportedly met with Jets brass for five hours Sunday and the sides "hit it off in a big way." The Jets could keep Schotteneheimer in place if they hired Ryan. New York would also not have to tweak its defense much because Ryan can run a 3-4 scheme.
  10. I don't wanna write it down. My fingers hurt.

  12. And the contract would be null and void within the first 5 minutes of this douche signing. He's been given numerous chances and still *****s up. Pacman is done.

  16. It's performance based. If Favre delivers us a Superbowl win, then by all means, take the 32nd pick.
  17. Favre is most likely out of the picture. Hate to say it but it's true. Judging by the reports so far out of camp, Chad seems to have the edge although Kellen may be coming on as of late. I guess we'll have to wait out TC and the pre-season from beginning to end. With that said, I think we're heading into another season with Chad as our QB. I honesty think he can be an effective stop gap for another year or two behind a revamped O-line and a potentially awesome defense. But one thing holds true..... We have to bring in a new heir apparent next offseason if Kellen doesn't win the starting job. The QB crop in the draft is fairly weak. Matt Stafford and Curtis Painter are the only prospects who even have a chance of making something of themselves in this league IMHO. This leads me to Brady Quinn. He certainly has the makeup of a franchise QB. Good size, strong arm, nice accuracy, played in a pro style offense under Weis. His pocket presence was sometimes called into question at Notre Dame but nothing too big. He's now stuck behind Derek Anderson who looks to be the future in Cleveland. Quinn would be my #1 target after the season. If Chad is our starter this year, we have to look for a potential franchise QB. Quinn is far and away a better prospect than anything in next years draft. If we have a solid season, and QB truly proves to be oure biggest weakness, then this is a move I would strongly consider even if it takes a 1st round pick. Thoughts?

  19. It's really crazy when you think about it......how could a phenomenal collegiate talent like Mike Williams be such a massive failure at the pro level? You'd think at the very least he would've developed into a solid starter.
