Ridiculous on it's face I would agree but perhaps not so very outlandish if you consider the following. <> The Patriots are an organization with very little tolerance for player revolt. If you make comments in the media which are critical of the front office then the chances are that you will be dealt with in a most severe fashion up to and including your trade or release. At the ver least you can usually count on a message being sent. <> Tom Brady has been critical about the way that the organization has handled the whole Deion Branch situtation. <> Brady has been variously observed to be "lethargic" or "sleepwalking" or "in a funk" out there on the sidelines and even admitted as much to reporters in the week following the Buffalo Bills game. <> Stories in the media, critical of the Front office are everywhere from the Peter King power rankings to the pretty damning Selena Roberts story in today's times. The story compared the way that Tom Coughlin may be losing the Giants but it is not as bad as New England where Bellichick may have already lost the Patriots team. So given all of this, is it time to to tell Tom Brady to grab some bench for a game or two to send a message to Brady and the entire roster of ungrateful money grubbing players? Maybe bring in a veteran with lots of NFL experience to run the team for a few games.... Not so outlandish after all.

The same way that Vinny likes to give the opposing secondary the experience of "being around" the ball.

Being that it a new stadium it has the added benefit of being fully wheelchair accessible

Silly wabbit... Allowed yourself to get played into a situation where showing back up over there now has become a whole big thang... Tsk. Tsk.

Tom Brady is really REALLY disappointed in the Deion Branch situation. Did I mention how REALLY disappointed he is? Vinny still has a gun. The Pats will be getting themselves one heck of a quarterback. Anyone buying this? By the way, working him out for what? To see if he can still throw the deep interception? How are your exchanges from center Vinny? Dear Santa, Please let the Pats sign Vinny T. and do not let PatsFanTX or Shasta get struck by any bolts of lightning before they have a chance to post. P.S. I have been nice all year and not even naughty once.

Which is supposed to be the noodle leg, the kicking leg or the plant one? Does having a noodle leg increase the risk of say blocked punts?

shasta gets a TO from Jetswin for this diatribe

Certainly any such undertaking on my part in the future would need to be appropriately researched including consultation with acknowledged experts in the subject area. -

There are certain posters whose input is of such rare value that they achieve an importance that exceeds that of other members of a board. Such posters in my opinion are, dare I say it, practically "unbannable" because of how much they bring to the table. Frank Moga III is one example of this pheonomenon over at JI. For different reasons, some of which are amply evident from the quote at the beginning of this thread, I think that Shasta is also apporaching the "unbannable" plateau... Natural village idiots are a rare enough find out in the wild but to get one who is as ornery as Shasta and with a potty mouth to match ("Anal Birth").... Wayall... I think that Max should excecise whatever influence he still has over there to keep Shasta as an official JI mascot of sorts... I may have more to say on the concept of "unbannable" at some point in the future. -

Such a mouth on that one. Kidding aside, Shasta serves a useful purpose in the Internet message board universe. With Shasta on the premisis everyone else gets to feel confident that there at least one person in the neighborhood who they are not stupider than. In the middle ages the job description was Literally "village idiot" -
Fair point but the current claims are that this group of Patriots are just going through the motions out there and that the seem to be "down" or playing with a low energy level. In week 3, going up against a former coach and with a well timed filing of tampering charges, the NE teasm got up to play the game. One would have thought the same would be true in week 4. Nationally televised game and a rematch of a painful playoff loss from last year. Yet again the most common observation was that NE seemed to be sleep walking. If the front office is not going to try the novel apporach of using dollars to help motivate players perhaps they should consider filing some more tampering charges against whomever they are playing that week.

Something is rotten in the state of Denmark if such a famous Patriots butt licker as Peter King is holding his nose. So what to the Patriots plan to do with all that extra cash money they saved on Vinatieri, Givens and Branch?
-
Rumors arte circulating that Bob Kraft has calculated that a 10% across the board salary giveback by Patriots players would move him two whole spots up the Forbes 400 list. Are the Pats the worst 2-1 team in football? Peter King seems to think so.
-
Well let's be honest here. The Pats losing yesterday really doesn't mean all that much. It isn't like they were playing at home and against the team who knocked them out of the playoffs last year or anything like that
-
Tom Brady needs to know that just because he works for an organization of cheap bastiches who enrich themselves and their married girlfriends at the expense of the players who lay their bodies on the line on Sundays.... That doesn't mean he is not respected around the league... Hang in there Tom. Just don't risk life or uninsured limb because you can bet that Kraft and Belly are not going to look aftrer you if you get injured. You really need to rehab that shoulder properly.
-
So what are the Patriots doing with all of that unused cap space I wonder? On a side note it is a mark of how far we have come that the discussion today is not whether or not Chad can complete a pass of over 10 yards or what is the over/under in terms of minutes before his next season ending injury. The question as posed above is who would you prefer to have at QB right now? It is clear to me that even PatsFanTX is feeling the man love for Chad right now but is unsure of how to show his feelings. Gimme a "C".... Gimme an "H".... Gimme an "A".... Gimme a "D"... Best QB in the AFC East right now and, as the old expression goes, "2nd aint even close" <Edited to add> I would never wish injury on any player but if it turns out Brady has a noodle shoulder there would certainly be something Karmic goiong on there.
-
The problem with Brady is simple. IF he took less cabbage to keep the team together (he did !!) AND IF that money is not going to Brach or Givens (it isn't !!) AND IF the Pats are waaaaayyyy under the salary cap (they are !!) AND IF Bob Kraft is charging the highest prices in the NFL for season tickets (he IS !!!) Then where in the name of all that is holy is that extra money going to? The money Tom Brady agreed to leave on the table to keep a winning team together...

Cotch coming in at a respectable #20

Belly, another Example of tail ruining a great situation
EM31 replied to SouthernJet's topic in NY Jets Forum
Maybe the Pats are squeezing down on their cap dollars because Kraft told Belichick that any team liability for his philandering has to come out of cap dollars and not Bob Kraft dollars. Having the highest ticket prices in the NFL does not mean you have money to waste on frivolous things like resigning a popular superbowl MVP wide receiver doncha know -
Dick Jauron for going away from McGahee on the 2nd drive when it looked for all the world as if we would be facing 10-0 or 14-0 before we had gone midway through Q1. Special teams were due up for a game ball today until that last onsides kick mess <insert test of nanny-bot filter here> Aside from the obvious Chad to Elsie and Cotch I would give a game ball to the offesnive line pass blocking AND to the coming out parties of Leon Washington and to a lesser extent Drew Coleman. Rookies, both of whom contributed to the win today. Only Anthony Schlegel left to pop his game cherry from the draft-class of 2005.

Give Herm a pass after the **** he made us wade through for the last five years? Not a chance in hell. Doggy, You might want to take that sphincter sniffing proboscis to Arrowhead stadium where I am sure it's services will be required.

"Questionin" <entry> Questioning Variant, inquisitiveness.... The police brought the suspect in for good beating and some down home questionin.... Hehehe is anyone buying this? We need volunteers for a posse or two.
-
As in more than one posse? Normally I think the spell checking ****s are about as much use as <insert something useless here>, but I think we can make an exception if the post in questionin is taking a shot at another poster's intelligence. There has to be some line out of Blazing Saddles or Silverado that would be good to toss in around about now. You know, a posse segue. Wow... the name of a Pre War German political party is a no no? Egads!

I cunningly disguised myself as "EM31" for the ride over here on the groupie train. Man those were some ugly assed groupies too

Suggestions for the title of the Movie/TV series "Banned of brothers" "24" "Unbannable" "Ban or no ban?" "The Patriot" <insert your own here>

Aren't signing bonus' automatically accelerated and assumed by the trading team in the event of a trade? Are those the salary numbers for Moss over and above his signing bonus?
