Macc's staff, COVID restrictions on visits/travel etc....hard to completely blame Douglas on that 1st draft class. He does seem to learn from his mistakes though which is great to see.

Have no idea what it would cost....probably less than signing Brown though...but I'd look at signing Eric Fisher who has played both sides. Came off ACL injury in short order to play for Indy last year and looked better each week as the season progressed. Lightning in a bottle is what we need LOL

I do not think Brown has EVER played RT in his 14 yr NFL career. Everything I have read about the potential of Brown joining the NYJ has him at LT and moving Fant to RT. Listen...we NEED OT help for this year. Mitchell may fill a need next year, but Edoga and McDermott are less than average stopgaps at this point. I would have NO issue with the NYJ signing someone who is a potential RT AND signing Brown in case Fant can't make it through the season either. But only signing Brown IMO would be a mistake...he's not a RT, and not too sure Fant if healthy is either.

Exactly. And if the Jets offered Moses a starting spot with starting RT money on a similar deal to Baltimore's, I have little doubt he would have stayed here. Sometimes the timing of things just doesn't work out.

Not even sure I'm open the Duane Brown bandwagon at this point... Signing him and then moving Fant to RT could be a disaster. I'd rather leave Fant at LT as he's a better option than Brown at that spot and then find a passable RT with potential upside.... and if we sign Brown after that? OK...

There’s a difference signing Duane Brown to be a ‘backup’ option and for a likely significant starting role. Having a 37 yo LT that had a rough year last year starting and then having to move a better LT on your roster to the right side to accompany him is not ideal. look for a RT option so as to leave Fant in place

Agreed. The 'Johnson family' has more money than some small independent nations....if any or all of them want to take up for whatever cause of their own volition, I applaud them. I do. Tell the New Yorker mag, or the NYT...revel in it. But it is NEVER good business to use your business for social/political causes.

Professional sports teams, especially one with the spotty history of the NYJ should stick to Sports, and avoid social causes. Never knew it was up to sports teams (businesses) to support anything other than their own business.

There were actually commendatory comments about Wilson's 'talents' and lack of a team around him in the article. Pretty sure Josh Allen would have been similarly rated after his rookie season...just sayin'.

WOW...just, wow. Now we all need a reason to not get an experimental vaccine? Even though as a healthy 30's y.o. male his risk of serious complications or death from this virus was almost 0? Simple fact...hind sight now indicates the vaccine was probably a good idea for potentially susceptible individuals at higher risk for serious complications and/or death....but since it DID NOT prevent infection (and therefore transmission), a lot of people got a vaccine they may or may not have needed and for which no long-term risk studies were able to be done. Honestly it isn't even a damn vaccine..it's more a prophylactic medication to prevent death amongst those more susceptible. Football thread so I'll leave it there. Just hate seeing people judge others for medical decisions they make as they have NO F*CKING idea what is best for them.

Who cares? Wouldn't be the first time some ditched ex-GF ends up with her ex-BF's best friend. And if that's Zach's Mom's BFF that he's hitting? I can understand that lol/
