  1. Good move. Strange timing. Sounds like a personal situation. #MeToo type deal?
  2. If you are a person who had heart surgery and have not watched the last three years, after being a rabid jets fan since 1965, and just got back into it after knowing the morons finally drafted a QB in the first round, and were all excited to be back, then watching this draft has reminded me how nice doing other things on Sundays have been. Yes, the dreaded words. Same old Jets. Ugh
  3. Third and long ..... It's complete. First down!!!!
  4. A nose tackle? Really? Great. Stop the run and see more 3rd down and long conversions by opposing offenses.
  5. Yup, Mo Lewis is the guy I was forgetting. I think he even made the Pro Bowl. And yeah, now I remember Abraham's start at OLB. I thought we might have our LT.
  6. Help me out guys. I am getting old and forgetful. I know the Jets have never had a Von Miller or a Lawrence Taylor, but when was the last time we had a better than decent OLB? Lance Mehl??????? I must be forgetting somebody.
  7. Paul Warfield. Most talented WR ever. Always played on run oriented teams (Jim Brown, Leroy Kelly, Larry Czonka, Mercury Morris).
  8. hahahahaha. Thanks "Section 208. Where is section 208? Somebody, somebody take me to section 208" "Hey, isn't that guy dead?" "Yeah, but he is a Jets fan and heard they finally drafted a QB near the top of the first round".
  9. Gee, I think I heard that description before. I don't feel warm and fuzzy.
  10. Hey buddy! Thanks. Glad to be back and see you are still around. Yes we do. Still got the Mopar? I still have my Mustang.
  11. OK, I will keep an open mind. But I REALLY hate the 3-4 defense. Unless you happen to have a Lawrence Taylor or Curly Culp.
  12. Hey bud, how you been? Miss ya. Thanks
  13. Thanks Greenbean. Glad to be back.
  14. OMG, Todd Bowles. One of the things I was waiting for in order to come back. Please say the new coach is a 4-3 defense guy.
  15. Thanks. We should start a group. Jet Fans Not Dead Yet. Lord knows we have lost so many due to heart failure. J-F-N-D-Y
  16. Yes, when my doctor found out I was a Jets fan, he recommended taking at least 3 years off before going back to that stress. Been rehabing from the heart surgery. I can still do 4.3. In ten yards.
  17. One thing I am curious about if someone would like to help me out. Leonard Williams. I remember he was a highly touted DT that the Jets picked with a high #1 draft choice. I remember his rookie season being OK. He seemed more than decent against the run, but not as quick or agile on the pass rush as I was expecting based upon the hype. Just looking at his stats, it looks like he improved in his second year but has not improved since then. Of course, that's just looking at stats. What's the real story on this guy? Just OK but a disappointment given the expectations?
  18. I remember. And thanks.
  19. Thanks buddy. How have you been?
  20. The night before the surgery the lead doctor gave me the usual "now I have to tell you, you seem strong, but there is a one to two percent chance you may die in surgery. Here, sign this". Then I told the doctor "well then I have to tell you, there is a one to two percent chance my ghost will haunt the sh*t out of you". He then said "oh boy, I think this one is going to be OK".
  21. You're kidding? I did see him in practice once. He would overthrow a screen pass by about ten feet over the head of the RB. He must have finally solved that.
  22. That can happen when you draft a QB near the top of the first round. I guess they gave up on projects from rounds 2 to 4.
  23. Thanks and amen brother.
