Cowboys draft pick Bradlee Anae signs with Jets after not finding favor in Dallas The former star Ute will try his hand for Robert Saleh and Gang Green in 2022 By Patrik Walker 2 hrs ago2 min read getty images One thing is always constant in the NFL, and that's attrition. Bradlee Anae is discovering this reality for the first time in his young career, having been waived by the Dallas Cowboys in early November before going unclaimed and re-signing to the team's practice squad -- where he remained the rest of the season. With the Cowboys now eliminated from the playoffs, Anae's practice squad contract expires, and he's decided to take his talents north, signing with the New York Jets on Wednesday, per his agent. Anae, 23, is a 2020 fifth-round draft pick of the Cowboys who entered the league with a ton of promise after making a name for himself at the University of Utah. A Morris Trophy winner and consensus First-Team All-American in 2019, as well as a two-time First-Team All-Pac 12 honoree in 2018 and 2019, there's a very high ceiling on Anae that never materialized in Dallas. That was likely for several reasons, from his first defensive coordinator being Mike Nolan -- who led an abysmal defensive effort that led to his firing one year later -- to having to prove himself to Dan Quinn in a rotation that featured no shortage of talented pass rushers, e.g., Randy Gregory, DeMarcus Lawrence, Micah Parsons, Dorance Armstrong, etcetera. He leaves the Cowboys having played in only 50 defensive snaps in two seasons. Anae now gets a fresh start with another one of the more talented defensive minds in Jets head coach Robert Saleh, and can also be a special teams contributor as well for Gang Green. The young linebacker improved every single season in his four years at Utah, going from a freshman year with only two sacks, to seven as a sophomore, then 7.5 as a junior, before exploding with 13 as a senior. "I'm just a playmaker overall," he said after his selection by the Cowboys in 2020. "My strong suits would probably be my work ethic and my ability to make plays -- be productive." The former Ute can operate as either a 4-3 rusher off the edge or in a three-man front, and that flexibility is also what likely attracted Saleh to him this offseason. And as the Jets work to try and build on what turned into a competitive first season under Saleh, they'll do so with the hopes of making Anae a feature in their defense, assuming he can get back to the form witnessed in his days at Utah. https://www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/cowboys-draft-pick-bradlee-anae-signs-with-jets-after-not-finding-favor-in-dallas/

So Zach Wilson “allegedly” refused to take selfie with “1 fan”(maybe fan) at Islanders game. -
Interesting that Boyer isn’t listed amongst the coaching staff on the Team website. https://www.newyorkjets.com/team/coaches-roster/

Is Knapp the QB coach or Calabrese? Seems like they get flip flopped https://www.jetnation.com/2021/01/21/new-york-jets-formally-announce-offensive-staff/

It looks like Dowell Loggains was severely underpaid. It takes 4 coaches to replace him. Looks like we are finally making a commitment to coaching/ offense.

Cimini said that the offense Bates ran in his rookie year was very similar to the shanahan offense so Darnold should have no problem picking it up Rich Cimini (@RichCimini) Tweeted: From an Xs and Os standpoint: Saleh runs a 4-3 base, predominantly zone. It's the Seattle/Pete Carroll system; lot of Cover-3. Mike LaFleur, expected to be OC, from the Shanahan school. Fits Sam Darnold, who ran similar scheme as rookie under Jeremy Bates. #Jets https://twitter.com/RichCimini/status/1349937273308123136?s=20

So now you switched your argument from Fields is playing great tonight to “body of work”

The good news is that it doesn’t seem to be a significant rib injury. I was terrified that he had broken his ribs. The way he was acting, it sure looked that way. Based on everything we have been hearing, that doesn’t seem to be the case. It looks like it’s more bruising of the ribs instead. https://scarletandgame.com/2021/01/04/ohio-state-football-latest-justin-fields-injury/

16/31 193 yds 1 TD thus far... Mac Jones 36/45 464 yds 5 TDs

He said Wilson’s dad

Pretty sure the Sideline reporter said Fields was 95% healthy at the start of the game

Aaron Wilson Updates on the Coaching Search Aaron Wilson added more nuggets on the Houston radio program ‘The A-Team with Wexler & Clanton.’ “I’m hearing for the Jets Matt Campbell. I’m hearing Arthur Smith for Atlanta. Daboll with the Chargers is a possibility.” Wilson said San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh, a candidate for the Falcons, did not interview well with the Detroit Lions and is not a shoe-in. He has heard some interest by Detroit in Pat Fitzgerald. https://ustadium.com/p/716383

Report: Eric Bieniemy Struggled in Falcons Interview Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle brought up that Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy really struggled during his interview with the Falcons. Wilson, a Texans reporter said on ‘The A-Team with Wexler & Clanton’ that the Texans have no interest in interviewing Bieniemy. He added that since they don’t want him, he doesn’t want them . Wilson said “I am going to be very transparent with you. Eric has not been interviewing well with the other teams and the Texans have not been interested in him through out the entire process.” He added “I’m told Mike Kafka has more to do with the development of Patrick Mahomes than Eric Bieniemy.” “It has nothing to do with race or anything like that. It’s just these teams don’t want him. I heard about the Atlanta interview, they literally want to hire a Black coach. They would love for him to crush the interview. He did not crush the interview, and these teams care a lot about these interviews.” Wilson says the problem is not due to anything in Bieniemy’s past or something unknown to fans; it’s just been a matter of teams not being interested. “He’s a good family man; he’s a good guy,” Wilson said. “He’s a good coach, but the teams have a right to hire whoever they want.” Note: To touch on the Bieniemy story, This is not the first time we’ve heard this. And not the first interview cycle either. He’s been passed over by about ten teams in 3 years. https://ustadium.com/p/716382

ESPN's Rich Cimini reports Lamical Perine "will be the featured back over the remainder of the season as the organization tries to determine if he can be a future RB1." Perine has been operating as the No. 2 back behind veteran Frank Gore, which is a classic Adam Gase decision. Like Cimini writes, the Jets need to see if their young players have any juice and times ticking. Perine, a fourth-round rookie, could see double-digit touches down the stretch. Of course, touches in this offense are low value, making Perine only a bench hold in 12-team leagues. Jets' Greg Van Roten Graded as Top NFL Guard by Pro Football Focus in Week 5 Green & White RG Has Played All 331 Snaps on Offense in 2020 Jets RG Greg Van Roten was rated Pro Football Focus' top guard in the NFL's Week 5 with an 86.4 grade. He's one of two Jets players on offense (fellow guard Alex Lewis is the other) who have played all 331 snaps in the season. Van Roten (6-3, 305), who grew up in Rockville Centre on Long Island, signed with the Green & White in the offseason after playing the last three years with Carolina. He was named PFF's most improved player on the Panthers last season and graded out as the 15th left guard in the league. "It's like a dream come true," he said in the spring. "In elementary school, in my fifth-grade yearbook, 'What do you want to be when you grow up?' 'I want to be an NFL player.' ... Then to come to the Jets and walk around the hallways and see the posters of all the guys I watched growing up has been just incredible so far." https://www.newyorkjets.com/news/jets-greg-van-roten-graded-as-top-nfl-guard-by-pro-football-focus-in-week-5

The Jets cut Polite on August 31 st 2019 and claimed John Franklin Myers on on September 1st 2019. I’ll take that swap. Great job by Douglas. -

it should be pretty easy for Polite when the OL is keying on Donald. -
B. Mayfield stats 19/29 165 Yards and 2 tds..... So, really?

Josh Allen would be running all over the field, And an upgrade overall at this point, and even if we only hit on 1-3 of the second rounds picks we are still better off
-
Josh Allen and 3 seconds or Darnold?
